Ktfish7 aka Joshua Gullion suffered a stroke this morning.

He is in Room 720A at Provena Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He cannot access any accounts nor use a computer at all at this time.

Please contact the hospital directly in order to reach Josh at (217) 337-2000 and ask for room 720A.

Anyone corresponding with Joshua or waiting on reviews may not receive a response for quite some time.

Our positive thoughts and prayers are with our friend Joshua Gullion. Please take a moment to send yours as well.

Dear gods!

I hope he recovers well. My father just suffered a stroke over the holidays (hence my absence from the boards for a few days), and I have become far too intimately familiar with this awfulness.

Best wishes to Joshua!

Should hospital room details for a patient, and a phone number, really be published on a public website?

:( EFFFFFFFF.

Joshua is a dear friend of me and pillar to the community. he did lend me an ear when I needed it and I will never forget that. My best wishes are with him - for a full and speedy recovery.

The same goes for the dad of Nick Logue.

All the best,

Sad face.

I am so sorry to hear of Joshua's condition. I do hope the OP keeps us up to date on his prognosis, and that he is back with us soon.

My wife suffered a stroke 3,5 years ago. She has recovered quite well, but not well enough to resume her work. Stress causes her bouts of vertigo, her field of vision is impaired and her "Know Direction" skill has some serious mali.

I hope all the best for ktfish7.

...That the guys at the hospital were quick enough to be able to "disintegrate" the blood knot that was causing the trouble before the brain parts died, that suffered the loss of blood supply. This is usually a six hour window and helps tremendously with the recovery (my wife was not able to receive this treatment, as she was already under blood thinners/heart medictaion). Otherwise he will have to relearn many things.

Ugh. I'll give him a call, terribly sorry to hear that. I suspect he needs some key lime pie to cheer him up! (/inside joke)

Prayers for Joshua.

My mother suffered a stroke about 5 years ago, so I too know the awefulness of it. It can be a struggle to recover from this, I wish him all the luck in the world.

I've had a couple of friends have strokes very recently and they've made remarkable and speedy recoveries, which I'm sure Joshua will do too, best wishes.

Just got off the phone with Joshua and while he can't write for now, his memory and speech are not impeded. Just thought I'd let the community know that he is not one to give up and won't let that stroke get himself down!
