P.S.
Merry Christmas!

I'm not entirely sure Zane and the Thundercloud are with us still...
The scenario is certainly playable with 4 PCs but I could recruit a couple of new players in need be
The "tiny" Thundercloud, PbPVer |
Sorry about the lateness of this posting but at least you'll have to recruit just one more with my signing in. ;)
Chronicle #:3
History: Shades of Ice, parts 1 & 2

Notes: most likely will buy the clw wand and/or scroll from part 2.
Similarly to Scuttlebutt, also GMed this scenario (twice) but never actually played through it. Also had it confused with part 2 which was why I originally thought I'd be "replaying" this part (admittedly, both were done a long time ago from my standpoint... plus having never played/GMed part 1, there wasn't much context to be had for both prior scenarios until this 2017 Gameday). ;)

Hi there, I just wanted to give you the heads up on my posting status. Due to new year’s celebrations and their aftermath I won’t be able to post until january the 2nd.
Thanks for your understanding and in the meanwhile best wishes for a GREAT 2018.

Hope I can still make the team. I would love to play the next chronicle. Apologies for dropping out last week but got caught up with family events and travel. I will be back to regular posting now that I am back home.

@ Zane: I was just checking out your character's profile in order to PM you :P and found out you posted 40 seconds before.
Of course you are welcome. Let's get this thing moving then!
The "tiny" Thundercloud, PbPVer |
Looks like there'll be no need for recruitment then. :)
For Thundercloud's/Minuro's spending, I'll have him buy the scroll of Flaming Sphere for 150 gp and the partially charged CLW wand for 105 gp: that should come out to 255 gp spent out of 673 gp... leaving 418 gp left.
In terms of spells memorized, Minuro/Thundercloud will change it up to Endure Elements and Shadow Trap from the two Endure Elements memorized for the past two scenarios.
Zane Shivers |
I wanted to get a Wand of CLW between scenarios using 2PP if that is ok. Thanks.

I have zero idea how "bumpkin" translates into the tribal interpretation of Hallit, but hey, it's the character that has the +12 in linguistics, not the player.
DM Elan Morin |
Scuttlebutt, please update your character's header so ity shows AC, Hp, Initiative, Save modifiers, Perception and so on. It will make my job easier that way. TY.

Sorry about that, updates on the profile being put in now. Despite being on my fifth and sixth PBP games concurrently, I still have methods and formats to learn.
By the way, I am very close to my fourth GM star and plan on using PBP to add to those tables needed and have relied much on your running this trilogy as my main GM example to emulate.

I've been laid up with a flu bug this week, my apologies for not being as chatty and contributing in character. I've been diligently following along and since the needed rolls have been made, I've taken some comfort that there was nothing else my character could have contributed to. And then I take a little more Nyquil and go back to sleep.
The "tiny" Thundercloud, PbPVer |
Condolences and best wishes to our real-life-flu-ridden compatriots (Zane and Scuttlebutt) out there as well.
Dunno if it would be of any help after the fact but some of the things I've been trying to do towards not getting that pesky flu bug includes getting that yearly flu shot, keeping some Mucinex handy, and eating more probiotic stuff (yogurts, kombucha, probiotic supplements, that sorta stuff).

I did get a flu shot a few months ago. But I think I may have been in the secret placebo test group and/or super space viruses laughing at our backwoods, simple, and folksy planetary vaccines. This did kick in after attending a weekend game event, call it the exposure to con-crud if you like. But I came away with a witchwyrd Starfinder race boon AND a merfolk boon from that event so I at least have something to show for my aches and pains, right?

Yeah, definitely would also blame it on the con-crud being the main culprit as well. ;)

A flu is a small price to pay for such glorius boons Scuttlebutt!!! The Flu comes and goes the boons STAY!
;P
The "tiny" Thundercloud, PbPVer |
Y'know, another wild thought for the flu-ridden... how's about drinking some Tonic Water (sugary and carbonated) or Diet Tonic Water (same as the regular version but sugar-substituted); it's got some trace amounts of Quinine in it- not enough to protect you from Malaria though... plus you could add in some juice or flavoring since Tonic Water does have a unique sort of aftertaste that may take some getting used to.

Ok, as said in gameplay, this is almost over. I have your information but I'd like you to write down again what you purchased: this will make my life much easier when writing your CS down. Thanks!
Midge |
What I purchased? Do you mean during the session itself, or what I will be purchasing with the gold from this chronicle you're about to hand out?
Scuttlebutt. |

I really, really wanted to try casting grease on the Shadow Lodge lady's magic weapon and the spell range is not that lengthy. But half-orc/greataxe combos are very entertaining and efficiently deadly, too.
Scuttlebutt had no new purchases in part 3

Quick update: I'm working on your CS right now. I'll probably wait a bit before releasing them cause first I want to hear from the Thundercloud and Zane if possible.
The "tiny" Thundercloud, PbPVer |
No worries, DM Elan Morin, and thank you again for running this adventure for us. ;)
As for any purchases made during the adventure, Thundercloud's got the scroll of Flaming Sphere for 150 gp and the partially charged CLW wand for 105 gp, which comes out to a grand total of 255 gp spent.
And now the masked Wayang will be at 2nd level too. :)

@ GM - Midge didn't make any purchases during this session.
Thanks for the great game everyone!

Can I get a chronicle sheet because yesterday I started to play with Dragall another scenario.
Yes, sorry! I usually do these things in a quicker way. Unfortunately I've been quite busy with work and just barely had time to post in the other games I play and GM. I'll try to get you all the chronicles by tomorrow. Also... no sign of Zane yet.

My immense thanks for a fantastic trilogy run to the players and our superb and enduring GM. The Shades of Ice trilogy was the first set of games I GMd for PFS three years ago. I 'ate the spoiler' on them as it was something that my local lodge of players had not gone through yet. Even though GMing was not new to me, I had been away from playing and GMing for quite a few years. I forgot to bring my minis to Shades of Ice part 1. Now I am on the edge of getting my fourth GM star. I am very, very happy to have finally gotten player credit for this trilogy and a three year break helped me forget most of the details so I didn't have to feign ignorance on what was coming next much. And playing part 1 was my intro into play-by-post and I could not have asked for a better GM and collective to have played these with.
Thanks again, all.
