Objection!? - I was after Zokon and Numalar and stated I'll wait until after they did their thing, but why am I after the Centipede now? I should still have a chance to stab it to death before it attempts to murder Scarlet, should I not?
I always was above the Centipede in earlier Init-Iterations...
Objection sustained. In my initial reading of Alia's last post it seemed like you were delaying. In which case, inspire courage is still active as it is not Posh's turn yet.
Scarlet Scarab
I have a few hours before I'm on a plane, and then I won't be back online until tomorrow.
This should be one heck of a cliffhanger, eh?
Alia of the Blade
Hum...only until after Zokon and Numalar, since I hoped they would finish the creature.
In Us vs. Them battles, that is, 2-Block Initiative, delaying after the enemy is useless unless rules lawyering is in effect(that is, you need to do something BEFORE your other allies act, but they can't delay themselves because they are directly above the enemys init score)
It would basically mean giving up a round.
Sorry if I was unclear in my statement and thanks for the quantum flux!
Currently need to put baby to sleep, then have dinner with my SO...such a significant chance(no pressure) can't be rushed! I'll take my time after and post in about 2.5 hours- (no pressure) - sorry for the cliffhanger, Scarlet :)
Scarlet Scarab
No worries, I'll be on a plane for 6 hours, then probably fall asleep, so I have about 16 hours before I check again.

I can hear my mother saying:
"If your friends jumped off a cliff would you do it too?"
:)
Alia of the Blade
Err...yeah. I didn't expect to actually murder it with the abysmal damage, but could you recap what happened?
I failed to cast defensively, so lost the spell, but did not provoke.
So the knocking down was from the fall damage at the bottom of the Ravine, I assume, since I can only negate 10 feet of the fall with acrobatics? Meaning there was no prone penalty in addition to squeezing on the attack itself-as such, with an modified Attack roll accounting for squeezing, I did not hit on a 20?
Specifically asking because it seemed that before, it WAS hit on a 20.
So I am kind of confused regarding what actually happened there. Mind you, no more time shenanigans, we need to stick with one timeline now or it will create a paradox, but I want to understand regardless.
Specifically, I am afraid of that thing coming crashing down on us and putting Scarlet into more peril. Opting to simply aid her to increase AC, or stay up there to try and catch her to prevent Fall damage would have felt gamey.
But if this thing collapses on us and deals more damage, that could mean a character death, so, same as back then with Numalar, I want to understand any little detail related to the occurance to see if we can weasel our way out of it if the worst happens :P
Alia of the Blade
Well, that, or...if letting go of the wall meant I am automatically going prone, AND still squeezing, that gives me a -8 on melee attacks, considering I have a +6 to hit and need a 20, only a Natural 20 would have had a chance to hit. So it was almost impossible to pull it off, but I was unaware the area was so treacherous. May have been better to simply fall down and cast a Magic Missile while prone on the floor, out of reach(probably).
If we do perish down below (Centipede Corpse=>Huge Object falling down, 6d6 damage, possibly only half that because it's not dense/hard...still 3d6, plus potentially buried for 1d6 points of nonlethal damage per minute. If unconscious, DC 15 Constitution check or 1d6 lethal damage each minute.): It was an honor serving with you!

Update in about 13ish hours.
Scarlet Scarab
Huh. And I was busy building a new character and everything. Scarlet lives another day.

Thursday, I think.
Okay, back it suddenly got busy 'round here and then didn't. Me messing up didn't help much either. Here's to hoping that ends the temporal distortions.

As you may have noticed the campaign thread update notification tracker thingie on the website isn't working. So... there's that.

Thanks a lot. I thought it was only me and wondered why none of my games updated in the past 2 days...

Sorry yesterday's post was delayed by bad Internet. Should have something up in a few hours.

Guys...
Sorry to take so long.
Here is a list of the stuff Dovan and gang had.
The Big Prize:
1 +1 rapier - Nobody has spoken up about it so I am guessing nobody wants it. Unless someone speaks up I am inclined to "Bank" it (it is worth 2320 and would add 1160 gp to the "bank").
Other things worth taking:
1 masterwork chain shirt (Scarlet or Alia?)
1 masterwork backpack (Scarlet or Alia - it weighs 4 pounds instead of 2 but will increase your carrying capacity by 10 pounds. Zokon has one already.)
1 set of thieves' tools, (Zokon or Posh or whoever wants to add disable device to their skills)
1 bag of caltrops, (anyone?)
1 disguise kit, (Posh gets disguise as a class skill, and people seem to be after him)
1 potion of cure serious wounds (Scarlet is probably the most likely to need this)
Gear not worth selling but maybe useful as backup stuff:
40 arrows, (Zokon?)
4 daggers
1 club,
1 sap, (Scarlet or Alia?)
4 darts,
Add them to party stuff:
6 days of trail rations,
5 bed rolls,
5 blankets,
I suggest we bank these: (speak up if you want any of them)
30 gp 2 longswords
150 gp 2 longbows
5 gp 1 set of padded armor,
10 gp 1 set of leather armor,
50 gp 2 sets of studded leather armor,
Total 245 gp / 2 = 122.5 gp in the "bank".
Cash and Equivalent:
20 gp silver Stag Lord Amulet (this is our fourth one. Does anyone want it? Posh?)
260 gp 2 turquoise earrings worth 130 gp each
30 gp = 3 pp (minted in Caliphas),
62 gp
20 gp = 200 sp (all coins of various mint).
Total 392 gp
Zokon Santyev
The +1 Rapier would be good for Zokon but it wouldn't increase his capabilities more than it would another party member if sold.
If Scarlet or Alia do not want the sap Zokon will grab as it works well with sneak attack.
Poshment Underhill
I'm assuming the rapier is medium size so it wouldn't be useful for Posh. Plus, even if that weren't the case, a +1 rapier would be a bit of a waste on the bard whose main combat benefit is singing to the group so banking it would be best.
Silver Stag amulet...if we have any others we could get a nice collection. Do they have identifying markings or anything to say who they belonged too? Maybe something to help disguise people? I'd be tempted to take that with the disguise kit if we go back to the fort and try to bluff our way in.
Also I might like the thieves tools and take up disable device later AND the caltrops just to be a pain in the ass to enemies when I block their path to me.
Alia of the Blade
Only replying for those I am listed with, no strong feelings on the others=> bankable.
@Rapier: Fancy, but my Estoc is superior, AND I am bound to it by 2 archetypes. As such, pass&bank.
@MW Chain Shirt: Opting to upgrade during the first downtime opportunity we get. I would prefer wielding arms and wearing armor I crafted myself, over using something we picked up somewhere(from a corpse). Plus Scarlet seems more likely to carelessly charge ahead and get in trouble. Alia usually only runs after her to save her ^_^
@MW Backpack: Gladly taking that. While Scarlet and me technically have the same strenght, well...can my pack donkey wear a backpack? ^_^
J/K, I'm fine if Scarlets wants it, just saying if not her, I'll pick it up...no banking on that one.
@Sap: Fine with Zokon picking it up. As mentioned, I am plenty locked into my primary weapon. I'll swap out for Ranged, but once Melee is joined, I want my t(h)rusty blade by my side.
Celyne
I'm good with banking anything that isn't claimed... I think we should keep the amulet just in case needed to pass checkpoints or whatever getting to the stag lord.
Scarlet Scarab
@Rapier: Bank it!
@Sap: Give it to Zokon.
I'll take the potion!
I'll take the masterwork chain shirt to lower my Armor Check Penalty to -1.

* The real question is... is this the magic weapon you actually want? You probably will be stuck with it for a while if you take it. If you would prefer a longsword or something else, you could hold out for that.
* You can take the sap but you do already have one.
Zokon Santyev
Ha I do have one.. I forgot that it's a standard equipment build for any that can have it.. Scarlet you need a method to bash someone over the head and not kill em.. it's yours
Zokon Santyev
Alia's HP are incorrect.. not possible to have a max of 12 hp at lvl 3 with a +1 Con bonus..?
RPGGGM
Somehow I think her Con score got subbed in for her actual hp, which off the top of my head is in the mid-20's.
Alia of the Blade
I reverse track on negatives, at -x/Con Score, which is the Death Counter.
Apologies for the confusion.
Since I did fail to update the HP in profile(as I usually do), just for reference/proof:
L1(max): 8+1= 9
L2: 7
L3: 7
For a total of 9 + 7 + 7 = 23 HP.
(That said, we leveled on pages 17 and 32 of discussion...if the next one is at page 48, we're about halfway there.)
RPGGGM
Quick everyone, talk more!

Updating...
Things I'm still not sure about who is taking what:
The Big Prize:
1 +1 rapier - Zokon? If you take this one it will put your wealth WAY ahead so it would be fair not to expect much for a while. But if we find ourselves needing a magic weapon this could be useful.
Other things worth taking:
1 set of thieves' tools, (Zokon or Posh or whoever wants to add disable device to their skills)
1 disguise kit, (Posh gets disguise as a class skill, and people seem to be after him)

+1 Rapier
Zokon will take it until we get back to civilisation
Alia of the Blade
@Numalar: I think Posh spoke out for thieves tools, disguise kit and caltrops.
The daggers, clubs and darts: can keep it as backup.
Stag Amulets: If we mean to infiltrate the base eventually, we may want one for every one of us. If we end up not needing it, I can still melt the silver and utilize it as raw material. *shrug* Silver Weaponry MAY come in handy against certain enemies, too.

@Numalar: I think Posh spoke out for thieves tools, disguise kit and caltrops.
Oh, good! Missed that one.
Stag Amulets: If we mean to infiltrate the base eventually...
Oh, absolutely! I have one, and Celyne has one. There was a third that we found but I have lost track of who had it... was it you, Alia? I am inclined to give the fourth to Posh as his bluff skill is good.
Basically there are just the daggers, the club, and the darts. None of them are worth very much (the club has a cost of 0).

Just a heads up. I will be leaving Thursday morning for a 4-day retreat at the beach that lasts til Sunday afternoon, then I have a Sunday night concert to attend. I will take my computer with me, but I may not be able to post much til after I get home. Please feel free to bot me if I delay the game at all.
On Monday, my dog goes into surgery and when he returns home on Tuesday, I will be on a full-time home care regimen with him. He needs to be walked with a belly band whenever he needs to relieve himself or get up to get a drink or eat, so it will be a busy time. (He's an almost 100 lb st. bernard puppy, so he can't be carried for these things).
I'll be able to post regularly again starting Monday, but perhaps not as frequently as usual for a while.... Anyway, sorry in advance for any lack of posting on my part. I will do the best I can.
Zokon Santyev
I'll be away and have spotty posting from Thursday the 13th (+8 GMT) until Tuesday the 18th.
Alia of the Blade
FYI: While I expected to be able to post during the combined work/private trip over the weekend, life had different plans. I'll be attending a funeral tomorrow and it's kept me busy the past 2 days, too.
I will try and post again as soon as possible, please do bot as needed.
RPGGGM
Condolences.
No worries on play. Alia will be unconscious for a few rounds while Celyne mentally composes her customer complaint to the Pathfinder Society for getting her such a lousy healing wand. A similar note may be going to her mysterious divine patron....
RPGGGM
Posting to tonight. Was going to yesterday but, well, the best laid campaigns of dice and men often go awry.... And websites too.
Zokon Santyev
Numalar if your going to use acid splash alot get yourself a vial of acid to use as a focus as it gives a +1 damage to Acid Splash and is re-usable.

Yeah, I know, and I have one, but it is the action economy of pulling it out, especially when you want a hand free to grab on to roots and things.
Numalar Auritonius
|
How did we cross the gap? I have 70 feet of movement left at the edge of the cliff.
There are lots of roots and things hanging down from the ceiling. You can cling to these and "climb" across.
Each climb check is DC 5 and gives you a 1/4 move. Since your regular move is 40 you can move 10 feet in one climb check.
Some of the roots are sawn through so that if you grab them they break. You need to make Perception rolls to avoid that.

What he said. Your kobold ally can point out the clear path.

More updates tonight.

Alright so...long story for the past few weeks my Gran has been in hospital for a while because she is due for surgery, but because she's been having falls for as she called them "Incidents" then the hospital staff want her to be recovered before they can operate on her eyes.
However, due to her dementia she's doing and saying outlandish things like claiming my uncle to be in a dark cult and that he and my mum conspired to have her locked away, even though she's at a hospital and not a prison.
We have been advised to make the home safe for her so various bits of furniture have been removed as they are not safe, nor good for her back and we've been spending the days off I have to search and throw away anything dangerous such as knives and blades (which is appears she has a lot of, including a starter pistol loaded with blanks) and going through all of her collections of stuff to throw away or sell to raise money for her when she goes into a home, as that appears to be the most likely course of action.
It was an especially long day today with my own therapist meeting AND we cleared through all the out-of-date food she had because when people come to the house to check things, if they find anything unhealthy or dangerous they'll say she can't comeback yet.
But either way, been exciting at times with some things we've found and also kind of morbidly worrying too...
So this is the reason I've been disappearing somewhat and I do apologise, that's not even all that's going on but this is the only stuff I feel comfortable sharing with you all :)

Likewise. I lost my mom in November, but sort of lost her about three years before to dementia.
RPGGGM
Now I realize that Posh is not the wisest of characters, but I think Hero Lab is trying to tell you something about his current encumbrance with that -11 jump check modifier. Now I could totally see that on a dwarf in jousting armor, but the nimble little halfling bard? I'm imagining him lugging the equivalent of a major halfling appliance through all the places he's been. *pant, pant* Oops, gotta turn it to get through the doorway. Damn! Overhead roots!?
Given that, and the fact that he can't possibly save himself from falling should he slip down even the easiest descent, I would like to know if he might consider dropping the backpack, or the heavy mace, or 10 pounds of rope, or all the above to make the trip a bit easier before going? As he has had move actions left to do this in previous rounds the job could already be done.
