Fighting to keep from flinching as the arrow hit, Pylos kept his attention on the strix. "Scared of you? Ha!" he said with a forced grin. "I'd sooner be scared your harpy mother, you weak-winged feather duster!"

"That's it! Oh you've done it. Now you've really done it." The Strix threatens as she focuses all her hatred on Pylos. The rage seemed to turn her archery sour as Pylos easily weaved around her arrow with a smug grin upon his face. A quick squawk escapes her, as Blosodriette emerges from the sky with a blowgun in her hand.

Meanwhile, Phillip chopped downwards with his axe to find naught but the edge of the Tiefling's leather armor. The power of the blow frightened him, and he tripped backwards onto his back. Although he left an opening, Phillip is unable to follow through. Kethaera heals herself up, Jules sneaks further, and Tarnagius jumps through the window to start a flank on the Tieflings. The second one races out the door, now cut off from the stairwell.

Pylos gave a loud laugh as the strix's arrow went wide. "Ha, you call that a shot, you worm-infested flying dodo?!" he said, giving the flying enemy a one-fingered salute.

I'm actually really enjoying playing the distraction. Though I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with new insults.

Although Phillip misses with his axe, Tarnagius charges forwards and delivers a devastating blow to the head, killing the Tiefling instantly. Kethaera darts towards Phillip and heals him with her wand (Phillip regains 15hp). Meanwhile, the last remaining Tiefling (besides Nisha) makes a panicked shot and dashes out of the Humbright, exclaiming that he's completely done with this. The Strix is completely focused on Pylos, and target him with another arrow. This time, her aim strikes true (Pylos takes 6 damage).

Jules, you can now break stealth without being seen since the Strix is so focused on Pylos, and all the other enemies have been dealt with. That being said, I need you to make a DC 15 Acrobatics check to jump through the broken window without making any loud noises.

Im a bit confused on the map. Am I next to Phillip now, or still outside? Plus can I move up the steps and use a spell before ducking behind cover? Not all at the same time of course. I probably can move up the steps and then on the next round cast a spell before moving behind cover, right?

Forcing a laugh as the arrow pierced his thigh, Pylos just gave a jaunty wave. "I'm sorry, were you trying to hurt me? I thought your sister was trying to get a little kinky!" he yelled upwards. Really, though, they needed a way to get rid of that strix. He didn't know how many more arrows he could safely hold before he became a dead pincushion.

Pylos knew exactly how many arrows he will survive: 1 more. That arrow landed with a splat right into his stomach. The Strix licked her lips in anticipation. "Have you ever tried human flesh? I enjoy seared tongue the most."

As she takes aim for a final shot, Blosodriette loses control. She drops her blowgun and draws her sword, lashing out feverishly. The first wild slash goes right across the Strix's back, but the other one manages to cut right through the bow string.

Kethaera, Jules, Phillip, and Tarnagius make it up to the 2nd floor. Jules is still hidden from view.

Everyone's turn. Pylos has 2hp.

Pylos couldn't shrug off this last hit. Clutching the shaft protruding from his stomach, he couldn't stop the blood that came up with a harsh cough. "S-so what, you l-like to p-p-poke young men with your s-shaft?" he asked with a bloodied smirk. Even in the face of death, he wouldn't give his enemies the satisfaction of seeing him worried. If his mother couldn't get more than a quip, this bird brain was in for a disappointment. "Y-you are f-far f-f-from the first I've p-picked up, and f-far from the p-p-prettiest."

Phillip and Jules dart inside the bell tower. It's a small room with the familiar slip cage, a collection of hay, and a few supplies of dried rations. Leading upwards stands a rickety 20 ft. ladder. At the top, a series of large beams are set just below where the bell used to be. It allowed the bell ringer to move around the area, although still one slip could still have resulted in a disastrous fall. Perched upon one of these beams is a giant black raven, with a tiny little Vendalfek pinned beneath it's foot.

As the Strix draws her sword, Tarnagius fires an arrow right into her left arm. Blosodriette darts out of Kethaera's way. The Strix looks ready to dive Pylos... Kethaera only has a split second to do anything about it.

Kethaera, you can do the turn you skipped. After that, the Strix goes, then everyone.

Seeing her moment, Kethaera quickly casts her spell. She opens her mouth and lets out a screeching eardrum shattering scream at the Strix.

Im guessing it's 1d6 since it says 'per two caster levels' so it won't be 2d6 until I'm level 3 right?

The Strix gives no thought to Tarnagius' arrow or Kethaera's scream. Right now, only one thing mattered: Killing Pylos. It dives downwards at full speed, holding it's sword ready to slice right through Pylos' neck. Pylos closes his eyes, praying to whoever might hear to help him. He hears the sword slice flesh, and hears the drops of blood... but feels no pain. Opening his eyes, he sees Nisha. She turns her head and gives him a weak smile.

It is now everyone's turn (including Kethaera). If you want to know, the Strix charged, meaning it's AC is lowered

Pylos was stunned as he gazed into the tiefling's eyes. "N-Nisha...? Wha...?" he barely got out before noticing the sword wound on her back. Gently laying her down on the ground, a fire blazed in his eyes as he snapped his head up to glared at the strix. Not saying a word, he stood and lashed out with his whip, the silent strip of magical leather digging into the avian enemy's shoulder.

Seeing if I can take the Strix's attention away from Pylos and Nisha, while Pylos tries to use one of his healing potions...you do have some healing potions on you right Pylos? If not, Nisha might have some.

Pylos needs someone taking attention away from him. If Nisha drops the diva will never relent in her bellyaching.

Not feeling confident in his archery, Tarnagius drops his bow and charges the Strix, drawing his kukri out of his leg sheath.

I forgot to update Humbright Floor 1, but now it's been fixed. Nisha is not dead, just unconscious. Actually more stunned or in shock than unconscious really. She doesn't have anything except her clothes, so no potions or weapons.

Dice Rolls:

Intimidate vs Handle Animal: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Escape: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Phillip successfully scares the raven enough that it shifts away from the ladder and onto a beam farther away. Vendalfek begins struggling to get out of the raven's claws, but he is completely pinned, and getting out by himself is near impossible.

Pylos' whip slashes the Strix, but still does minimal damage. Tarnagius, in blind rage, launches himself off the 25ft. building onto the Strix below. He fails to grapple the creature, but the creature also misses her opportunistic attack. Tarnagius takes 2 damage, and 4 NL damage
