Halfling magic dot! Still need to upload my Dragoncon Chron (because I DID buy an awesome limited-charge wand from it, and it's one of those "You did NOT buy a wand of that" wand.) Note that Weiman should be 7th; I need to get his sheet updated to here.

![]() |

I plan on playing Glaurung again. I'll need to make my minor retraining adjustments to her profile and I have some gold to spend in one way or another.
Glaurung also has a familiar now but I'll just leave it at home for this adventure because I don't feel like choosing one and stating it out. I mostly did that so I can take Improved Familiar next level and get a raktavarna rakshasa as a familiar.
@Rosham: any of them sound good. I don't mind playing Glaurung up again but Weiman is only 7 so maybe low tier for this?
@Weiman: archaeologist is probably my favorite archetype of all time. I have a halfling archaeologist 10/gunslinger 1 who is basically the Indiana Jones of the halflings and the ultimate Boy Scout Pathfinder. He just founded his own lodge in Cassomir, Taldor.

![]() |

Ok, Glaurung is updated to reflect her retraining. I didn't have my Toughness HP calculated in anyways (doh!) so no change there and my AC went down by one with Dodge gone, but I have a +13 Knowledge (arcana) now.
I also picked up a lesser elemental metamagic rod (acid) and upgraded my longspear to a +2 longspear. My BAB is crap, I need those enhancement bonuses!

![]() |

That was a surprisingly painless process, using my 8+year old scanner on a win7 machine that I just hooked up. Weiman's up to date now, and I'll get an appropriate reply for Glaurung.
EDIT: Did Weiman use a 1/day ability in the pre-intro? Yes, but it's oh so justified, as I'm sure Rosham can describe.

![]() |

Play whatever you want, I'm fine with either.

![]() |

Rosham has endured Weiman once; more would be (likely justified) abuse. Play whatever you want, it's only a season 2 here.
Which, by the way, GM; any headway on this yet?

Oops! Spaced it. I'll have it to you in a little while.

Bruxo chuckles at Gannus' comment, and curtly nods his agreement. Who is this Sidri's father?
*Makes a "Who is his daddy, and what does he do?" post, but aborts the idea once I realize that Germanic tribes aren't easily-placed in Golarion.*
Maybe an eastern Kellid ethnicity?

![]() |

"Sidri...*I* am your father..."
Also, this. :-)

![]() |

Did they put the Alchemist's picture from Champions of Purity up as an avatar yet? I think it's even more effeminate/androgynous than that, though it's a close race.
Yup, they did. It's the Bowie-est I've ever seen the Iconic Alchemist, and I love it. (Note: That character is just one of my many theorycraft I'll likely scrap, but wanted to use it to display how fabulous a half-elf can be. The Goblin King will not be riding around with a Spinosaurus.*)
*Though now that I think about it, I kinda really want to do that.

I like this group already.

But his player could be unfortunately busy, with the healthcare company he's contracted to scrambling to print every needed executive document for healthcare reform. It's so butts, but I hope I'll get a pun out before the end of the fight.

I have 23/59 health listed in my quickstats profile part, though I'm pretty sure it's a relic from his previous online game he was in. As much as I really wish it was a Tom and Jerry-esque chase scene with Rosham done off-screen, I don't think I can by-rules (even if I wanted to.) In case I'm somehow wrong, I wanted to note that it was 23, but I'm adjusting it back up.

"Buying" a 50gp rubber clown mask (or maybe more appropriately this kind of mask.)

![]() |

Amusingly enough, this character (before the 1st rebuild use) failed the secondary mission in First Steps part 3 and lost a prestige, due to having the least coherent group possible. Weiman also has every Blakros scenario, but only as GM credit.
Totally worth it now, though.

Glaurung got a partially charged wand of cure light wounds from one of her first chronicle sheets and didn't spend a single PP until my last game when I did some retraining on her so she could take advantage of the raktavarna improved familiar from the Golden Serpent chronicle sheet.

As we near the end of this one and looking forward. Are there any requests for a next? I have a guy who GM's a lot of the games I play on VTT who I have convinced to try out PbP. He has a 7 and 9 available, so looking at Burglar's and EF's play list and talking to him, I come up with these possibles-
00-26 Lost at Bitter End
00-28 Lyrics of Extinction
01-32 Drow of the Darklands Pyramid
01-34 Encounter at the Drowning Stones
02-12 Below the Silver Tarn
02-14 The Chasm of Screams
02-16 The Flesh Collector
03-17 Red Harvest
02-18 The Forbidden Furnace of Forgotten Koor
Any ideas?

I've GMd 00-26 and 00-28 and both are really fun. Season 0 so not terribly challenging. Lost at Bitter End takes you to Geb and the Mana Wastes; Lyrics of Extinction takes you to the Mwangi. I've GMd Red Harvest; it's a fun role-play one but can be pretty tough.
I don't really know much about the rest although I've heard Drow of the Darklands Pyramid is one of the worst PFS scenarios ever. People seem to hate it and I don't know why. That being said, I'm intensely curious to play and/or GM it to see if the rumors are true.

Oh, and Glaurung becomes 9 after this game and gains a raktavarna familiar.

... Lost at Bitter End takes you to Geb and the Mana Wastes
*Insert Kill Bill Klaxon Sirens here* The masochist in me wants to play my Wizard in that.

I've heard it was a...
Venture Captain: "You're going into an Osirion Pyramid. *goes through briefing* W-wait, why are you buying Bane (Humanoid (Elf)) arrows?"
Pathfinder: "M-maybe there's drow?"
VC: "Why would there be Drow? We're in the desert! What gave you that idea?!?"
Pf: "I'm... I'm just gonna buy these anyways..."
...
kind of deal.

GM Tektite |

Well I can run any of those for you guys, though I don't recommend red harvest because I care what you guys think of me. :)
Is there anything left that you can play Red? I'd like to run the next one for two reasons, a) I told my new guy I would, b) I don't have PC in tier available. I will definitely take you up on GMing, perhaps after the next one?
Let me know if you have anything available to play and we'll see if Bruxo has any thoughts as well.

![]() |

The only things I can play are the last few mods in year 4(Price of Friendship, Secret Stone's Keep, Feast of Sigils, and Waking Rune), and anything in year 5.
And I don't remember anything that bad about Darkland Pyramid. It was underwhelming honestly. Lyrics of Extinction I can see being rageworthy though.

![]() |

Speaking of new season 5 stuff, Elven Entanglement was one of the best scenarios I've run in a while. Really interesting encounters with one of my favorite monsters ever thrown in.

![]() |

I've played everything from season 4. Tektite's list above is, I think, the only thing me and Weiman can play in together.

![]() |

Happy ending? Heck, I'd (and by extension, Weiman) would be fully amused with a mid-action shot pause of Glaurung breating fire and him leaping out of the way ending credits scene. He's that dedicated to living life to its hilarious fullest.
My only input is twofold;
1: Didn't we play Price of Friendship already, Red? EDIT: Oh, wait; you ran that one. Ha!
2: I kinda don't want to play Waking Rune until I can have a power-appropriate level 11 for DANGER ZONE HARD MODE DIFFICULTY.

![]() |

T'is available for me. Diplomancer cleric (who really SHOULD be in Thruvia right now, as EF can state) or Weiman are available.

![]() |

Yep, I'm good to go once I level and buy things.
Question: why doesn't Weiman have a Rod of Wonder yet?

![]() |

IC Answer: "Oh, I've got a Rod of Wonder. Ha!" Rolls on floor, laughing.
Actual answer: He... really should. I guess he did just break the 31 prestige cap needed for it. I didn't know what I wanted to spend his ever-growing amount of money on; he's not really a gear-dependant character (aside from the Trapspringer's Gloves and Eyes of the Eagle, which he's already got.)

Oh, I've already died in that one. TPK. In the first room.
I think we collectively hit [redacted] once.Maybe twice.
Pretty much, if we could do something wrong in that scenario, we did: playing with four...no cleric...treating it like a regular scenario instead of
Yep, we did absolutely nothing right in that one.
EDIT: Yes, I can play Entanglement.

My Level 8 Alchemist is in Pirate Rob's PbP of Waking Rune right now. I'm level 8, everyone else is 10/11's, so we are playing up. Made it past the first encounter so far.

Our party, though all 11th level, wasn't especially optimized:
- my Ranger/Rogue/Horizon Walker is fun, but you can definitely tell he was my first PFS character — okay, but not even in the same area code as optimal;
- the Wizard was mostly a blaster, focused on fire (whoops!);
- the guy playing his Barbarian hadn't played that character in more than two months; and
- the guy playing his Ninja...well, was playing a Ninja. LOL
Plus, we didn't ask about how to get back, so we all thought we were basically stuck there with a one-way teleport. (Whoops, again!)
Kurshu had us for lunch. Actually, we were probably easy enough to constitute a light snack.
