Hey, Jelani. I posted with a link to this alias earlier, but in case you didn't see it or passed over it because it wasn't the alias itself, here you are again! If you didn't list me because I'm missing something, can you let me know what? I think I have everything you requested.
What I'm thinking at present is a Half-Orc Alchemist (Vivisectionist) that will multi-class into Barbarian. Reasonably bestial in appearance, but when he takes his mutagen and/or rages his human traits become dominant... sort of a Dr Hyde and Mr Jekyll situation.
Gah - let the idea swirl around for the day and unfortunately the more I thought on it the more it faded away. Rather than pitch a half-arsed concept I'll withdraw and wish the best of luck to the many fine folk in the running.

DM Jelani, if I take an aasimar more than 100 years old, would you allow the Breadth of Knowledge feat? It specifies dwarves, elves and gnomes more than 100 years old, but I was thinking it would be appropriate for aasimar as well.
Fingers crossed on getting in to this! Lots of great competition, though. I can't wait to see what party is assembled from them all.
Yeah the horror aspect and adult content of his AP really appeals to me. Its the one I've wanted to play most for a while now, even including the newer ones like shattered star.
There are some good submissions here so the DM has a tough decision to make but having too many good characters is a nice problem to have!
I delectable your decision this character is not for everyone. I will state that he not evil nor a rapeist. As stated in his background he finds rape detestible. He is intended to be an adventurer who is not motivated by gold or honor but instead obssessed with rescuing damsels in distress.
He is rped as the first to volunteer when the king offers his daughters hand in marriage to the hero that will slay the dragon. Not a rapeist a man who will do anything for "love".
Markofbane - Yes, I would allow it. But you'd better have a good reason in your backstory why a character over 100 is still level 1. Why haven't you done anything with your life?
I suppose a Werewolf would be a big no.

I deliberately did not pick adventuring gear, as he is not the type to consider going on an adventure. Though he by know means is a coward, hench the daredevil. However with the death of a close friend and his mentor should something come up in the first encounter to change his mind he will purchase stuff and strike out. I believe you would call this character development.
Also if picked I plan on taking levels in Cleric, his favored class. Bard reflects more of an educational background.
Finally I picked Academy Graduate to suggest the last few years of his life spent studying under the Professor. Let me know if the feat selection is incorrect as I believe it is a specific feat to another AP.

Getting close now.... Sadly, there doesn't appear to be enough time for be to post another 300 times to switch category.
I am still considering all the characters posted. But if it comes down to two characters who fill a similar role that I both really like, the person with more posts will get the spot. I simply want people who I know are more likely to stick with the game. It's really annoying recruiting players a week/month into the game and then trying to keep it from dying. I may go with six players if really really can't decide, but that would create more work for me, by having to up the difficulty of the encounters. So we'll see.
I totally get where you're coming from Jelani, having inconsistent posting or players pulling out is frustrating at best.
I'm gradually building up my post count but hopefully its mostly with quality posts rater than 200 "Lolz." I am in GMT and I'm guessing you are west coast? I can easily post several times per day though as I always need to have my phone with me.
Anyway, enough rambling on, is there anything else you need to know about this particular character?

Jelani, I know I'm not a hugely prolific poster, but I do have every intention of sticking with this game until the end if I make it in. Just in case that was in doubt. Being able to spam posts in a forum =/= commitment most of the time ;)

Some of you are wondering why you aren't on the list. I will repeat myself from earlier in the thread. "If your character hasn't met my expectations and requirements in the original post, it was left off the list on purpose...I saw several characters who looked promising but didn't follow instructions, or who aren't yet complete. Submitting an incomplete or non-compliant character is a waste of your time, as they won't be considered until they are finished." That means, correct point buy, right level (1st), background, personality and appearance all in the alias.
One more slot before I close recruitment.
I am just glad I decided to take a second look through the requirements for entry. I missed the 3-5 paragraphs for back story the first time through and mildly panicked, as I was thinking that I didn’t have enough information to put that much. Happy to have pushed through on that little mental block.
My favorite thing to run is undead. In my table top game people always looks twice at direct anti-undead spells, feats, and what not. It’s been discussed several times by totally different groups “Well you know we are going to fight scary undead things”
It makes me smile every time.
Buron may have gotten too comfortable in his life. He may be a scholar currently but in his chest beats the heart of a true adventurer. This would explain why he is set up as a passionately studious, but then you know a Daredevil.
I also changed his stats around to squeeze in some skill ranks to have more knowledge skills. Being a student and not having a smattering of ranks in various Knowledge skills isn't making to much sense to me. I could have gone just straight Bard and picked up the Bardic Knowledge but Daredevil just fits so well with Volstagg. I also swapped out Combat Expertise for the Scholar Feat.
My three skills for Academy Graduate are Diplomacy, Bluff, and Use Magical Device
Recruitment is open for about 24 more hours or until I get a 15th character within the guidelines.
I'll get Adriel adjusted in a few hours. 4am here...
I would totally throw down a whip-wielding, gun-toting Human Holy Gun Paladin named Ritcher Belmont for this if I thought I had the time to get the character complete and apped, but sadly I am not sure that I do have the time.
