Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

The sorcerer kings of ancient human civilizations built these tombs. Oh what stories they could tell if only I could make them speak...

I share my knowledge with the group. Feel free to read my spoilers.

Timmon:
You notice a certain pattern of images repeated on most of the doors you pass. Most of the images change between doors, but this short pattern seems constant. This is the specific repeated pattern.

Byarsh:
Any knowledge in Tama's last spoiler, plus the following: Knowledge(Arcana): The patterns of images around the doorways seem to be protective magics, similar to patterns of menhirs or wooden walls used to impart magical protection to tombs of cheiftans in the south. You have never seen these spells made with pictures carved into the walls though. Knowledge(History):You notice that the image of a crescent moon is repeated throughout the carvings, and you can recall that the men in the oldest of legends worshiped the moon above all other spirits.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Lylindra breaks off from her exercises and sighs.

"En nou selfs stemme uit nêrens weier om die Suider-tale te praat. Ek wonder of die geeste selfs sorg om 'n plek so vreemd soos hierdie, met die nonsens carvings en die spookagtige babbel om te kyk."

Orcish:
And now even voices from nowhere refuse to speak the Southern Tongues. I wonder if the Spirits even care to watch a place as strange as this, with nonsense carvings and ghostly babbling.

She shakes her head, annoyed it would seem.

"Heeft de nieuwe gezegd waar hij ons meeneemt? Heeft hij zelfs zei dat zijn naam?"

Camthi:
Has da new one said where he takes us? Has he even said his name?

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Camthi:
"These stones hold old magic - the same type used by the Southern folk at the dawn of their time. It is power that predates this land's god and may even originate from before the dragons; see the moon iconography? These symbols invoke protection, though I cannot discern whether it is to keep things from crossing the border or to protect anybody buried nearby."

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Lylindra listens to Byarsh's explanations, actually showing respect.
A spellslinger of the South would know such things, she thinks.

She nods and now regards the stones with an air slightly more tinged with reverence, though still quite far from pleased.

The canyon which you are walking through terminates in a double line of columns leading up to a door like the many others you have passed. From the first columns to the door is about 80'. I can make a map of the area if you would like to examine it more.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

A little picture would be great Caleth

Timmon looks at the guide with a puzzled and stern look. "Ne büyük bir rehber, bir çıkmaz.Elbette sürece biz bu ürkütücü kapıların biri aracılığıyla girmek zorunda düşündüren.Ejderhalar bir ajan mısınız?Arkadaşlarınızla gelmesi için beklemeniz olarak bize tuzak gönderdi?"

Sharrim:
What a great guide you are, a dead end. Unless of course you are suggesting that we have to enter through one of those creepy doors. Are you an agent of the dragons? Sent to trap us as you wait for your friends to arrive?

Turning to the rest of his traveling companions he says. "Weet iemand wat deze deur kan houden? Is dit een graf dat we te bezoedelen? Zijn we misleid door deze nieuwe gids en hij wacht op zijn draconische vrienden om ons vast te leggen nog eens? Ik ben geen fan van dat nergens te lopen."

Camthi:
Does anyone know what this door may hold? Is this a tomb that we are to defile? Are we decieved by this new guide and he awaits his draconic friends to capture us once again? I am not a fan of having nowhere to run.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Sharrim:
Of course we will be going through the door. These halls will take us under the ridge, safely out of view of the dragons, and deposit us near the Oasis of Vitriax, my home and a place as safe as any under the great sun.

To prove his words, Samaerew strides towards the door. Is there any clear means to open it?

Samearew:
You know that this is one of the tombs in this area which has already been broken into. The door has been unsealed and will open with just a push in the right place.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew calls out authoritatively: Kan damarları aracılığıyla saf akar Birinci Erkekler, adını, sana açmak için komut!

Sharrim:
In the name of the First Men, whose blood flows pure through my veins, I command you to open!

My Dice Rolls:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

He pushes lightly on the door, which swings open.

Sense Motive DC 7 or DC 12 if you don't speak Sharrim:
You think the command that Samaerew spoke was probably entirely unnecessary.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Timmon cracks a little smirk as the guide tries to make himself look powerful but only makes himself look a fool.

The hallway beyond the door is entirely dark. You can see that there is a 5' wide hallway and steps leading down, but beyond about the six feet that light can penetrate in, it is completely dark.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Sense Motive 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

"Hij spreekt zijn vreemde woorden als hij gelooft dat we denken dat hij een spreuk Slinger. Waarom is het hebben wij ons vertrouwen in deze vreemdeling zonder naam?"

Camthi:
He speaks his strange words like he believes we'll tink him a spellslinger. Why is it we have put our trust in dis stranger widdout a name?

Lylindra looks to her other companions and sighs.

She moves up to find if there are any signs of danger within

Perception to hear anything within 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Sense Motive 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Byarsh will also look within (darkvision). 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

"Ik weet niet precies wat is gehouden binnen, maar de magie van deze stenen is beschermend van aard. Ik zou niet denken dat ze zouden open voor iedereen zomaar, dus misschien deze man heeft een aantal plan.

"Is er een kans dat we zouden beter tarief buiten in een willekeurige richting? Nee, ik denk het niet."

Camthi:
"I do not know exactly what is held within, but the magic in these stones is protective in nature. I would not think they would open for just anyone, so perhaps this man has some plan.

"Is there any likelihood that we would fare better outside in a random direction? No, I do not think so."

Lylindra:
There is a faint whispering sound inside the tomb, but you can tell that it is definatley just air circulating.

Byarsh:
You can see with your darkvision that there are more shallow steps inside, and at the base of them the 5' wide hallway opens into a small room. You can just make out a humanoid figure which is probably a statue in the room.

I do have the map ready for if you want to go inside, but I'm still playing around with the light and darkness options in MapTool. They are pretty powerful and I just want to figure out how to use them. I really like the RP going on here though.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
Batu has 60ft darkvision so looking down the steps as far as he can see and communicating to Timmon
The next action may make the darkness thing moot.

Timmon picks up a small stone, "Lumen", the stone glows brightly and then Timmon tosses the stone through the doorway and down the stairs.

Here is the illuminated area inside the door. The steps are very shallow and only fall about 4-5' over the length of the hall. This is also the area which you can see with darkvision without actually going into the door.

Map

The thrown pebble illuminates the room inside harshly. The room is carved from the living rock and was once covered in a coat of white plaster with frescoes, most of which has cracked and fallen to the floor at this point. In the room stands a statue of a bald man in a loincloth with a large pendant of a crescent moon across his chest. His hands are raised as if holding an object.

Perception DC 15:
Near the base of the statue are carved the same pattern of images as on the door.

Perception DC 20:
The decoration of this room and the statue shows areas that may once have been covered in gold but are not anymore, almost as if the room has been looted once before.

"Ik hoor de beweging van lucht, dus er is waarschijnlijk een open uitgang ergens. Hopelijk zullen we in staat om te passen. Ik heb ook meer van die rare markeringen die u erop gewezen te zien, Spell Slinger, aan de basis van dat beeld. Zijn deze afdelingen nog actief?"

Camthi:
I hear de movement of air, so dere is likely an open exit somewhere. Hopefully we will be able to fit. I also see more of dose strange markings you pointed out, Spellslinger, at the base of dat statue. Are dese wards still active?

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Raven! To me! Eagerness! Curiosity! Need!

"Een waardige vraag. Ik zal onderzoeken op een afstand."

Camthi:
"A worthy question. I shall investigate at a distance."

Byarsh will put a foot into the doorway and peer in, casting Detect Magic. He probably does not notice anything mundane until a massive, ice-blue raven alights on his shoulder.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Lylindra regards the bird warily.
Knowledge (Nature) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

"Een vriend van je? Ik denk niet dat een vogel als die is inheems in dit gebied."

Camthi:
A friend of yours? I don't tink any bird like dat is native to dis area.

Byarsh:
There are no specific active spells or auras that you can distinguish, but the entire area is steeped in magic. If it were not so alien in culture you might compare it to the presence of the spirits embodied in your familiar.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Camthi:
Facinating tomb, what are those strange markings? Does anyone mind if I get a closer look?

If no one objects I make my way to the statue and investigate it and the immediate interior of the tomb.

Peception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Knowledge Arcana 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Knowledge Engineering 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Knowledge History 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Byarsh:
Your raven looks around inquisitively at the carvings, especially those on the door and at the base of the statue. He then informs you that this resembles the dwarven practice of encoding information about genealogy in pictures in tombs. So likely this is a tomb and the images on the door and statue represent the name of the person buried here.

I'm not sure whether you familiar talks out loud or communicates with you through your bond, either is fine, I just want to try to be consistent.

Tama:
You get the feeling that the statue is of a spellcaster from the fact that the moon was an legendary symbol for magic.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Perception 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

DM:
So we never established whether I'd actually been in here before. I was assuming that I just knew where the other end came out, but if I knew how to open it were you assuming otherwise?

And if so, is the looting since I was last here, or pre-existing?

Samaerew:
You know that ancient tombs usually connect together and allow you to emerge relatively far from where you started after traveling through the necropolis. I had assumed that you had done this before in other tombs, but never specifically used this entrance. That way I can still surprise you with what is inside. The one thing you would know that no one else does is that the first level is usually a false burial chamber and there is a hidden staircase leading down to the true tomb. The unsealed tombs were also all looted a long time ago.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

I'll move into the room searching for anything that triggers my bardic knowledge and for traps. While doing so I'll say.

Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

doh dice

Camthi:
The moon was a legendary symbol for magic. I suspect this tomb belonged to a spellcaster we should proceed with caution and pay attention for strange magical effects.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

DM:
Sounds good.

To Timmon: Bu dinlenme yeri saygılı olmak, başkalarına söylemeyin Lütfen.

Sharrim:
Please tell the others to be respectful of this resting place. My ancestors would be honored to provide us with a shortcut in our hour of need, but there is no need to unduly provoke them.

Tama:
You can clearly see a scorch mark in the narrow doorway behind the statue, probably from a magical trap which has already gone off. Likely most of the traps which may have once graced this tomb are similarly spent. As the first one to actually enter the tomb you can feel a light presence. It seems reproachful but also willing to let you all pass safely.

Map w/ more accurate lighting.

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

About the Familiar:
The bird speaks Auran, which Byarsh also speaks. They communicate out loud and conventionally, though the language sounds rather whisper-like and involves some humming and whistling.

Byarsh steps through the doorway to join Tama. Drøm will remain perched on the mystic's shoulder.

Camthi:
"The raven is my companion; he shall trouble you little. Having just arrived, I have explained our current situation, and he has a little of his own to provide. The writing here and here is like the runes of the tunnel-folk who delved the Southern lands ages ago. I do not know the language, but I can recognize these as a description of the family of the entombed.

"I think it was clear enough from our guide's familiarity with this entrance, but there are signs enough that we are not the first ones here. Be wary both of inhabitants and traps."

Byarsh:
Map w/ Darkvision

At the very edge of your vision, far into the tomb you can see a dim, flickering light providing some illumination.(In what you can see of D14)

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Camthi:
I sence a strange presence, it is not hostile, but neither is it happy. Let us proceed with caution. I see signs of an expended trap here.

I wait for the group to join me, then I indicate the expended trap and proceed searching for learning moments (opportunities to use Bardic Knowledge) and traps. I'm more focused on what I can learn, and watching for traps than for mortal foes, I leave that to my companions...

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

"Onze gids heeft aangegeven dat we te werk moeten gaan zonder storende dingen te veel respect voor de doden en alles. Zelf ben ik niet lekker comfortabel binnen deze ingesloten ruimte dus laten we snel en vind het licht van de zon aan de andere kant."

Camthi:
Our guide has indicated that we should procede without disturbing things too much, respect for the dead and all. I myself am not feeling comfortable within this inclosed space so let us move quickly and find the light of the sun on the other side.

Timmon picks up the glowing rock he tossed in here and then tosses it further down the passage. He then turns to the guide. "Öncülük ve hızlı ve olaysız bizi diğer tarafa almak."
Sharrim:
Lead the way, and let us get to the other side quickly and without incident.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew nods. Çok iyi.

Sharrim:
Very well.

He strides confidently into the cavern (to B7).

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

I hurry after our guide.

Shoud we establish a marching order?

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Lylindra is wary and silent.

Stealth 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Actively sneaking from here on out

She moves slowly and carefully, looking for any dangers animate or otherwise,

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

She's actively searching for traps so long as she's in here, feel free to roll on your own and let me know the result as it matters.
her eyes dart around, trying to take in everything. She is reminiscent of an animal on the hunt. She will fall in behind Samaerew, whom she thinks of only as The Stranger. She will attempt to stay hidden from anything up ahead, though.

She does not speak, only nods. Her dagger is in her hand, as if she expects a foe to leap upon the group at any time.

You proceed into the next room of the tomb, and the light thrown ahead of you illuminates yet more claustrophobic chambers carved out of rock. The walls of this room, like the last were once frescoed with a mixture of large images of people going about daily life and columns of a mixture of smaller, more stylized pictures. In one, people pole an elaborately painted boat through river reeds, on another wall, a man hunts a lion from a chariot, and on a third wall, a line of people bring gifts before a king.
However, the plaster frescoes have been ripped from the wall in many places, seemingly deliberately.

Near the edge of your vision (D14) there is a reddish flickering light which seems like it is coming through a doorway.

Map

Lylindra:
One of the figures in the line bringing gifts to the king is a dragon, although that fact is nearly obscured by a chunk of missing plaster. You think it odd that a dragon would be bringing tribute to a human and not the other way around.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Gripping his trident just a little bit tighter, Samaerew moves forward to investigate the light.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Lylindra will follow, still keeping to shadows and cover when possible, still wary for danger, still not speaking a word.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth: Can you add a figure for Batu on the map please?

As Timmon proceeds further in, he picks up the rock in front of him and tosses it a little further into the next room. "Het lijkt erop dat goed is dat ten minste een van ons een lichtbron gebracht, doet iemand anders hoe dan ook moeten de dingen een beetje helderder? Niet dat ik bang ben voor het donker, maar ik wil de zon alleen snel terug te vinden aan de andere kant."

Camthi:
It seems that is good that at least one of us brought a light source, does anyone else have anyway to make things a little brighter? Not that I am afraid of the dark but I wish to only find the sun on the other side quickly.

"Bu mezarlar sağ güvenli?Veya, burada ürkek gerektiğini bir sebep var mı?"
Sharrim:
These tombs are safe right? Or is there a reason that we should be timid here?

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew pauses to consider a response.

Sharrim:
The ruins themselves are safe, but they have long since been broken into, and I cannot now say what may live here. It is best we be cautious, so as not to be surprised by anything we might find.

You move to explore the flickering light and enter a relatively larger chamber with similar nearly obliterated paintings on the walls. As Timon throws your light source into this next room, it illuminates another life size statue like the one in the entrance chamber. This one, however, holds a copper tablet in one hand and a small cylindrical object in the other. Beyond the statue you can see tantalizing glimpses of a yet larger room.

The flickering light is emerging from a what was once you think a secret, plastered over door which has been smashed through. On the other side is a low fitful line of flames across your path. In the corner of the space on the other side you can clearly see a small pile of golden objects which look like they have been scattered there by a great force.

New Map

Byarsh, you can't see much more with your darkvision since these rooms are small enough to be fully illuminated by a single light source.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Desire to roleplay a respectful paladin warring with desire for loots warring with suspicion that it's a trap.

I move closer to the line of flames, slowly approaching and trying to get a better view of the room.

Daha önce böyle bir şey hiç görmedim...

Sharrim:
Never seen anything like this before.

Samaerew:
You move as close as you feel comfortable to the flames, but they do not seem very hot at all, almost as if they had burned down considerably from how high they were at some point in the past. You see that there is a second alcove with some more gold objects scattered in it to the right of the one you first saw as you peer into the room. You cannot quite see the near corners of the room due to the doorway you are in.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

To the others: Eh, bazı yazım atıcılar. Bütün bunlar burada ne?

Sharrim:
Well, some of you are spell-slingers. What's all this here?

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama moves forward investigating as he goes.

Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Do any of these frescos mean anything to me?

Knowledge History 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

He'll summon up some dancing lights to better illuminate our path while nodding at Timmon, and using detect magic scan the area.

Spellcraft 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

He'll share the results of his checks with the group using Camthi and pidgin to be sure everyone understands. Though I didn't get the most spectacular rolls, so I suspect he can tell the group that there are paintings on the wall, and wether or jot anything is magic.

Tama:
While you think that the paintings on the walls probably depict historical events, they are all beyond any of the stories and legends with you have heard.

You see a conjuration aura on the flames through the doorway. You can't tell exactly what the effect is but you can clearly see that whatever magic you see here is only a fraction of what the spell was when it was first cast.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama speaks to the group as he looks at the magical flames.

Camthi:
I see a conjuration aura on the flames through the doorway. I can't tell exactly what the effect is but it is only a fraction of what the spell was when it was first cast.

He moves up to the flames and searches for traps.
