Yeah, imo the game is a lot better when the players aren't focused on how much more xp they need before leveling and consequently killing everything in sight.
Agreed! I've only had one GM who thought XP was a good idea. I think a story flows more smoothly when XP is ignored and leveling occurs when it makes sense. As much as I love the Pathfinder system, I generally look for less crunch more RP. Nice to hear others have the same mindset. :)

I don’t mind collecting xp in regular games but in play by post leveling by GM fiat makes more sense.

Name: Sabha
Race: Peri-born Aasimar with Scion of Humanity alternate trait.
Class: Flamedancer Bard 3/Life Oracle 1
Role: Support/Healer
Sabha had been living quietly in Bloodcove with her family for many years. Her affinity with fire magics was generally taken as a sign of her family's devotion to Sarenrae, though she did not appear to be particularly devout. She had been troubled by occasional nightmares since childhood, but thought that was normal for children.
And then Sarenrae chose her. Suddenly gifted with healing abilities, but finding herself only speaking and comprehending Ignan in moments of stress, she now seeks to leave Bloodcove, and track down someone who can tell her why the nightmares have become more numerous, and even darker, or at least get away from this place before she hurts someone...

Thank you again everyone for your interest. It was really tough to narrow the party down, as I found merit in each entry. I struggled over whether I would just run a second table, but I think in the end I would have been doing a disservice to both groups in that case.
Here is the party to start with:
Selena Shadethorn - Generic Chick
Shakaro Jun - Peet
Stígandrr the Wise! - ClevrGamer
Shwarto - pauljathome
Waseem - speaker for the dead
Please check out the Discussion Thread.
Thanks again everyone else!
I consider all of your characters still in Bloodcove trying to make ends meet. If we ever need a replacement, I may come looking for you to see if you are still interested.

haha, I honestly did not even catch that at all. I must have had a 12am bias towards the letter S.
I had a definite reasoning, and I am happy to share if anyone wants to know.
Really, I thought about whether to go to 5, 6, or a second group all day long. That was a tough decision, especially since I read some posts from all the experienced players out there and liked everyone. Also I hated not including some of the other concepts as well. If I thought I could manage a 2nd group, I would have taken everyone.
