Well, that combat was dangerous for a level 3, and katanas have a 18/x2 crit. Somehow I feel it would have happened to anyone receiving the attack, but perhaps Peck who has the highest AC and HPs.
I don't think the combat will take much more, so, right now, you should start deciding if you want to resurrect the character and whether if you want to pay PP or gold.

Luminos, if you wish to raise, the raise dead spell costs 5.450po, but can be also purchased for 16PP. That gives you 2 permanent negative levels.
1280po/4PP for a restoration spell to restore a permanent negative level (you can repeat it after 1-week).
5910po/16PP for greater restoration spell that restores all permanent negative levels.
You will earn 1299po as for this scenario (2293po those of you who are level 5 or higher).

Nice work everyone. It is a good thing our samurai was able to get back in the fight. I am down to two spells which rarely happens. :)
After this adventure I will have enough to purchase the staff I want. however I am a dozen PP from being allowed to buy it. Luminos, you can also sell some of your stuff (at half market value) to cover the raise cost. I can't read your sheet but it looks like you have 2k and a handy haversack (1k). If you raise enough do you want to copy something from my spellbook?
GM I don't think we saw any, but if there are any scrolls we found Aikio would like to add them to her spell book.
I need to know finally if Luminos raises before reporting. We are supposed to report tomorrow as that is the end date for the Gameday 3.

No idea. My guess is GM boons are tradable whereas player ones not. But you better ask in the PFS forums.
