How to create your PFS character for PbP

I want to propose you The Way of the Kirin as my new PbP game for the next month. This game will be run as part of the PbP Gameday 3 initiative kicking off on 1st november 2014.

SCENARIO BACKGROUND
On the eastern continent of Tian Xia, the Pathfinder Society remains a small player in the greater political landscape, but Amara Li, head of the Lantern Lodge in the teeming city of Goka, has plans to change that. In order to secure the Pathfinder Society's place as an influential organization on the far side of the world from the Grand Lodge in Absalom, she must orchestrate an alliance with the mysterious Way of the Kirin. But the longtime rival of the Pathfinder Society, the Aspis Consortium, has plans to form an alliance of its own, and if the consortium succeeds, the Pathfinder Society's hopes of cementing their place in the Dragon Empires could be dashed forever.

Written by Dennis Baker.

RECRUITING RULES
System: Pathfinder Society sanctioned play
Player Count: 4-6
Style of Play: Fast pace with RP opportunities
Allowed Content: Anything legal for PFS play (but I would give priority to Core if more than 6 players request the game)
Tier: 3-4 or 6-7, will depend on applications
Recruitment policy: In case more than 6 players request the game, I will follow this criteria
1) Balanced party
2) Priority to Core and APG races and classes
3) Availability and time-zone
Initiative policy: Characters losing initiative to the enemy must wait, for the rest, first arrives, first plays
Inaction policy: Control can be taken by the GM if required to maintain the pace if there is no single post in 1 day
Encounter management: I will prefer to use Roll20, but if party has problems to access at some of its usual posting places I will use Google Docs instead
Dice policy: Players through built-in dice; GM may roll AoO, initiative and other reactive rolls
Roleplaying policy: At least minimal roleplaying is expected (try to avoid lengthy passages not directly related with the scenario action though).
Kick off date: PbP Gameday 3, this is 1 november 2014

Refer Character you are presenting for recruitment along with any other information you think to be relevant.
Please no RP in the recruitment post.
Remember you cannot be playing two PFS Scenarios with the same character at the same time.

Disclaimer: I am not English native, so expect weird structures from time to time. Please, ask if there is anything you don't understand or you find a ruling was not fair.

Lantern Lodge

I have GMed this before but would be more than interested in playing if you would have me.

The Exchange

Is it too late to joint as a 4th level dirge bard? I have posted on two different threads for a chance to play

I can join with a fire wizard or cleric. Both are 5th, though that may change on Monday. :)

Sure! I have decided to start this game a couple of weeks after the gameday kick off, so not all my games will overlap in time.

It seems we have 3 free slots sill:
1. DaWay, ?
2. Nulfevah, bard 4
3. Curaigh, wizard or cleric 5
4.
5.
6.

Please, let me know if you are not ok with the starting date, or get enrolled in a different game.

I am quite Madly interested. Let me please check who is free atm. Is it possible to play a standard pregen and apply it to another char. My samurai is unfort in another secenario and I would "LOVE" to add this chronicle to him.

Ive got a Kitsune Sorcerer 6 or a Warpriest 3 i could bring..

Grand Lodge

I would be most honored to join this group.

1. DaWay, ?
2. Nulfevah, Bard 4
3. Curaigh, wizard or cleric 5
4. Jules Stonecutter, Human rogue 3
5. Joreal Krieger, Half-Orc Warpriest (Champion of Faith) 3
6.

The planned kick off date for this game will be the 9th of November. Approximately one week later than the Gameday 3 other games kick off, so there is still room for other players to join.

So far it seems we will play in Tier 3-4.

It is my intention to use Roll20 to present maps and movement, as it is the tool that most helps me and simplifies my job as a GM. I know some people have problems with it and don't want to play in that way. So please, let me know now before we start.

Roll20 is a problem for me as well.. I cant access it from work and we just moved and have no internet at home. If there's a google doc screenshot though i can tell you movement etc, if thats ok..

I am Roll20 subscriber, so in case you have a tablet or similar device you can access to Roll20 from everywhere and even move your token (does not work with Opera Mini though).

Problem with screenshots is I would have to create one for every character in order to represent Roll20 line-of-sight and light effects.

I will save the group/gm some trouble and just bow out.. GL and have fun!

Lantern Lodge

I will be playing my Bard 1/Rogue 1/Shaman 1
party face and back up healer never hurt.

I would play a standard pregen samurai. If allowed

It looks like there is a lot of divine casting already, so I am leaning toward the Aikio the Red. Though I can still go either way.

I have never used Roll20, though I am familiar with it. Can you provide a link so I can take a look? Even if it is not for this particular game yet it would be helpful :)

Scarab Sages

This is the standard pregen. Ready to hold the line.

Ok, I made a test campaign so you can try it ;)

Roll20 Test Campaign
I have not set the light effects nor your player.

1. DaWay, Bard 1/Rogue 1/Shaman 1
2. Nulfevah, Bard 4
3. Curaigh, wizard or cleric 5
4. Jules Stonecutter, Human rogue 3
5. Joreal Krieger, Half-Orc Warpriest (Champion of Faith) 3
6. Helikon-Samurai pregen 4

Seems we are complete. Please go to the discussion thread.
You have time to report in the discussion thread until 3rd November. I will continue recruiting if anyone fails to report.

Lantern Lodge

I don't see the tab at the top. Where is the discussion thread?

The Exchange

I'd love to jump in with my level 3 tiefling alchemist (mindchemist/trap breaker).

Rutseg, would you consider running 7 players?

Given the current levels I think with 7 players each of you will find little to do.

Anyway, keep an eye here, as if for next Monday there is someone not reporting you can jump in.
