Makes me think of Danny the Ambulance from Doom Patrol (except Danny doesn't have an avatar). That could be fun. I think you can apply construct rules (no Con, Immune to Fortitude saves) to a character in M&M.

I would think that to make something like Voltron feel right, the combined form would share some points between all members (some sort of alternate form that everyone pays for). It would probably also need to function at a higher PL (Power Level) than the loose people.

I've seen games where people played characters at one PL and Mechs at a higher PL.

In other thoughts, I hope I haven't skewed people too far in the sci fi direction. This is definitely space opera/space fantasy/high weirdness campaign. No reason you couldn't play a more savage character brought into the setting. From a primitive planet, frozen for years, Planet Hulk, etc.


Sure, having some diversity among the character backgrounds would be great. The character I have in mind is very tech-savvy but leans very heavily towards magic (and not science) in his power set. I would age my character a little (he would be a full blown Mad Scientist now and not a graduate student) as it is a mature PL10 game and not a starter PL6 game.

I am looking forward to seeing what people have in mind in terms of their character builds. :)

how many points each for a craft?


This is still not a recruitment thread. I am way too busy this week to run a recruitment thread.

That said, I've been working on the campaign. I can safely say that build rules will be 170 points, PL 10, and maybe an additional 5 points reserved for a ship/ships.

I expect to post an actual recruitment thread on the 17th or 18th.


Well GM Tumbler not only would I be interested in playing but I could even help with the game if you like. I have ran numerous MnM games as well as played in numerous games as well.

Be more than happy to help you create a quality game. Thoughts?

Things will get back to the normal level of chaos on the 17th. That is why I planned to run this at that point.


Been lurking for a little bit and have really loved everyone’s ideas so far. I know it’s not a recruitment thread and hope this doesn’t step on anyone’s toes but I’ve been trying to suss out a fitting concept and so far the idea I’m working out is a living White Hole in humanoid form.

Aesthetically they have the coloration of a negative picture and wear some gear that help regulate their powers. I plan on giving them some Radiation blasting, Gravity control, and most importantly Dimensional pocket/grab & Summoning powers to represent their ability to pull various items(flora, fauna, stellar objects) from their form, as if those objects had entered a black hole elsewhere and are expelled from my character in a bright light. Similar to a white hole, this stuff only goes one direction so once it’s in this universe, it’s here and does not act like a two way wormhole.

Hopefully it’s comic booky enough to fit, I’d be open to mechanical or conceptual input from ya’ll as I’ve only ever played 2nd edition.

Just for fun I thought I'd make a new character/icon. This is RH's replicant. I still need to spend a few points. Looking at more points to his weapon, or possibly a 'powered' shield, or something to improve vision.

Still need to consider how the group would communicate. Hopefully a radio that is equipment will be cheaper than what seems to be listed.
