Transgender Iconic for PF2?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

In PF1, Shardra Getl was a Shaman who happened to be the transgender iconic.

Are there any iconics in PF2 that fit this bill?

I have a friend who is interested but asked me the question for PF2 and I *cannot* find any in my searching.

Please help.

Mios, the Iconic Thaumaturge, is non-binary.

Shardra has appeared in at least one piece of 2e art so far, even if we haven't gotten her class back... yet, anyway.

so queer representation in pf iconics

Shardra Geltl (iconic shaman) is a dwarven trans woman (pf1)
Kyra (iconic cleric) is a lesbian human
Merisiell (iconic rogue) is a bisexual elf
Zova (iconic shifter) is an aromantic human (pf1)
Seltyiel (iconic magus) possibly a bisexual or gay half-elf
Mio (iconic thaumaturge) is a non-binary human
and I THINK I remember hearing that Damiel Morgethai (iconic alchemist) was genderfluid, however I cannot find anything confirming that (pf1)

I could be wrong but I could have sworn the Iconic Swashbuckler, and Iconic Gunslinger(of 1e) we're some flavor of queer....it could just be that I am very gay for them though that is clouding my memory.(although that can be said about a lot of the iconics)

As a Trans woman just coming out. I’d be happy to hear of a trans pc.

Along the same lines, there are plenty of trans characters throughout Paizo Adventures and APs, such as Anevia Tirablade from Wrath of the Righteous, Selozè from Strength of Thousands, and Il’setsya Wyrmtouched from Agents of Edgewatch.

I'm certain there are many, many more, but that's just a few quick ones that I remember.

Pretty sure there was at least one transgender shopkeeper in Grand Bazaar, too. I think I recall there being more than one, but I'm less certain of that.

Rexus Victocora from Hells Rebels also is trans.

Shardra Geltl is trans and appears on the cover of LO: Highhelm. Here is her blog post introducing her when Advanced Class Guide came out (her first appearance) Meet the Iconics: Shardra Geltl

Kalabrynne Iomedar (who is on the cover of LO: Knights of Lastwall) is also trans.

And with today's fiction we can add Quinn in as somewhere in the queer family

Legendary investigator. Clueless AF. That's our Quinn!

I swear we already heard that Quinn was gay from somewhere, but now it's much more clearly confirmed.

There are a a lot of explicitly trans or nonbinary shopkeepers in Grand Bazaar.

I'm sure I've heard Quinn was gay before, too, but likewise have no source.

Reiko (PF1 iconic Ninja) is genderqueer/genderfluid and asexual.

Found a reference to it in the comments of the Order of the Amber Die—The Strange Aeons Experiment, Part 2 blogpost from 2016.

Dame Trant from War for the Crown was memorable.

Was she the one with the healthy monthly potions budget who habitually swapped back and forth?

Character Concept: As an alchemist, take Improbable Elixirs (lvl 18). On your days off, use reagents to brew up boxes full of serums of sex shift (about 60 or so a day, if you don't need your reagents for much else ) and go handing them out to the folks who could really use one but can't easily afford the 60 gp.

Bit if a shame it has to hit so late, though.

...weird lightbulb moment.

What does true seeing reveal as the true form for someone who's chugged one of those? I would presume they see whatever sex the person currently has, given it's instantaneous, can't be counteracted, and the alternative is some frankly yikes implications.

If that is so, I can think of about a million new uses for that serum in espionage. So you've got an enormous secondary market for that alchemist as well!

(also if you're looking for ways to do it earlier, I believe that witch Cauldron and Temporary Potions has you safely covered by level 13. The potion itself may only last until your next daily preparations, but it's duration instantaneous so you should be fine)

Oh, hey - Remaster has actually made that one a lot easier. Like, a *lot*. You get your temp potions directly off of Cauldron, and apparently all you need in order to have a potion qualify is to have the formula known. I assume that it can't be of higher level than you are, for "too good to be true" reasons, if nothing else, but even with that limitation, it comes online by level seven (if you can come up with the recipe on your own) or eight (if you have to wait for the feat to give it to you). Now, the batch sizes are quite a lot smaller (maxxing out at six per day with legendary proficiency and a follow-on feat), but it's a lot more workable as a character arc thing - especially if you start out as a character who accepted their patron's deal at least in part because they wanted that particular transformation for themselves.

Witch is still a full caster, which means that I won't be playing that one, but maybe someone else could have fun with it?

I like this plan. And hey, if an Infused Alchemical Item has permanent effects, it even gets around the usual "until next Daily Preparations" limitation on duration.

Yeah that's the brilliance of the plan. It's no different than creating an alchemical bomb - the effect is instantaneous.

Oh so many, of the shops with a double-page spread alone, there's eight either trans or non-binary characters, and there may be ones I missed.

Since it's altering your biology rather than putting up an illusiory front, I think it'd just show what your presentation is at that point.

No, she was from book 1. She was a noble, but also essentially a bully, thug, and low key gang leader. And none of that changed after her transition. She coerced all her male lackeys to stay at her heels even after she became Dame Trant.

Crystal Fraiser wrote really good female villains.

Liberty's Edge

Glaz Nixbrix of Punks in a Powderkeg is a transman.

You should read the Paizo blog from this last Friday, you'll get to see a lovely little surprise at the end of the article.

Lost Omen: Highhelm too, there's like 3-4 NPCs listed (not including Shardra who appears in art but isn't mentioned directly). But it is the home of the Rivethun Dwarves; the coven of trans shamans, animists, druids, and witches who practice the Dwarven old ways. Not all Rivethun practitioners are trans, but a core part of their identity is using spirit magic and potions for gender affirming care. Also they have a relatively important position as advisors in Highhelm.

Divine Mysteries is going to have a Rivethun Emissary archetype, which is hopefully going to be more useful than the Rivethun ancestry feats in Highhelm.
