Half kobold half orc

So off the bat I know there's plenty of reasons it might not be possible but in the off chance it is... I have a very naive but very ambitious kobold, hes more than proved a capable warrior on several occasions. He has a companion that is an orc... he's been around for a little while and I'd like for him to have an offspring to follow in his steps, break the mold of cowardly kobolds and my mind ran with the idea and was like well why couldn't it be done with him and his lovely orc companion? :p
I'm not sure how to exactly word it in a question but ultimately I'd like for there to be that possibly even if there has to be a little magic involved

make a half orc. half orcs count as human via race trait/faq

use the feat racial heritage. call it a day.

thats the easiest way mechanically to make what you want work. For all intents and purposes they count as orc, kobold, human, and half orc. Maybe this is how humans originally got made. who knows. it just works

So, you are aming to play an Orcbold...add a race that start (or end) with a "G" and you can play "Orcbolg"

Dragons seem to be able to procreate with mammals (see halfdragons) so why not kolbolds? If I was the DM I would probably allow it, as long as you didn't use it as an excuse to make a SUPER RACE.

Nah, not to make a super race just to make something unique and fun. Unfortunately in our server we don't really do much homebrew or 3rd party either. I'll try to see if my DM would allow the homebrew but even if he does im not sure where to start on the creation of it. Hopefully in time

see if your GM allow this item (or a variant of it) to work on humanoids as well\instead of animals.

not for kiddies:
"The wearer may interbreed with animals within one size category of the wearer’s size"

Look up the old Orcs of Thar gazetteer for ideas. This sort of thing happened regularly in the Broken Lands. The less said about trobolds the better.

For a more comprehensive approach, what I've done in similar cases is:
* choose which creature is going to be the dominant part (base race)
* halve the modifiers of base race (round down) (ability score, natural armor, etc.)
* halve the modifiers of the parent's race, add them to the base.
* add whatever racial abilities from the other parent that makes sense for the resulting critter. Subtract abilities from the base those that don't make sense (helpful, I know)

This is definitely in the art rather than science approach, but it has been moderately useful when I've needed to something of this sort.

The Bloodline Arcana of the Orc Bloodline for Sorcerers makes you gain the Orc Subtype. If the base creature is a Kobold, then congrats, you have a half Kobold, half Orc.

Also, there are rules (1st party rules) for making new races, and I believe you can make hybrid races (has two different racial subtypes). See if you can work something out with your GM in regards to these rules.

EDIT: Race Builder. If the type is Humanoid, you can choose two different subtypes denoting race, like how Half-Elves are Human and Elf.

Canonically, it doesn't work without magic, with only human-orc and human-elf being biologically compatible (and not even elf-orc, which makes those three races part of a ring species). You might work out with your GM something like a quest for a magical potion. Although apparently the outsider/human hybrids can interbreed with humans and produce mostly-human offspring.

From Bastards of Golarion:
"Why are there no half-dwaves? Although humans can have children with many other races, there are limits to this gift. Half-dwarves, half-gnomes, half-halflings, and numerous other combinations are all but unheard of on Golarion. Biological incompatibility is the first and foremost reason that such half-races cannot exist. Simply put, dwarves, gnomes, and others just aren't compatible with other races, even humans.

In a realm shrouded in magic, it would be foolish to assume no spell in the known multiverse could produce a viable child between a dwarf and a humanoid of another race. Indeed, dwarven aasimars and gnome tieflings are known to exist, arising through the influence of outsiders or because of magical anomalies understood by few. A miracle or wish spell could likewise result in the birth of a half-dwarf, though the individuals able or willing to practice such spellcraft are few and far between."

The Race Builder is your friend here. I'd suggest thinking long and hard about the image of your kobald-orc race you have in your head and then look for traits that fit. I'd also look at the half-orc features to take. A kobald-orc is not going to be as big and strong as a full orc. So Ferocity (an orc trait) won't make much sense but Orc Ferocity (a half-orc trait) would.

Alternately, assume that your orc-kobold's generation will be playing using the 2E rules, and treat the half-orc heritage as a versatile heritage instead of a strictly human one. All you need to change is that it adds the kobold trait and gives access to kobold ancestry feats, instead of human.

OK, OK, I'm joking. But only partly. ;)

Thanks for all the ideas everyone and if there are more people with input I'd be glad to hear it
