Tomorrow night I'll start an actual recruitment thread. I'm almost done writing out everything I haven't forgotten in a text file. It's just the modifications to be applied to pathfinder1.

That thread will be to sort out the ones actually playing, it'll be nice if everyone here stays and play but experience says unlikely to happen. And character creation and everything will happen there.

Still around, the lore is interesting and I'd like to read more ;)

Also... Is the Allmother lawful or chaotic? I clearly see her as a benevolent and good deity but it looks a little weird that she doesn't allow the existence of more Gods... Wouldn't she like a little help at running the cosmos or sit back and leave minor deities handle smaller things? Or perhaps she'll see these as upstart mortals that will ruin the universe..?

The Allmother is actually LN.

She doesn't allow other true gods because she all the problems and fighting they caused, and also very much the fact that she made this universe and doesn't want it screwed up.

The mortals is something she can handle or even wait out. Even if mortals ruin a world, well, the mortals won't be around a million years later even if she doesn't intervene. And it'd be interesting to see what happens.

She seems benevolent, but she is kind of both good and selfish. She was born to the standard drow society, then made it to the surface, escaping to survive rather than distaste, but she was curious how the surfacers could be so powerful as to drive the drow underground while being so weak. Figuring that out led to logically understanding the value of many good traits, such as trust and friendship, but that is still more of a logical understanding and acceptance, rather than something at the core of her character.

And alignment is in my opinion at the deep core of a character. People don't choose to be good, they either are or aren't, but they can choose to do good. A good aligned person by nature acts good without much thought, even in situations where it is not the smart thing. A good person needs a reason and lots of persuading to stand aside and let bad things happen. It is like My Hero Acedemia, "my feet just moved on their own." Anyone else might believe in good and choose to do good, but their alignment is not good.

My ideas of alignment are influenced by my minor in psychology, and personal experience. Like ability scores, you can roll 3d6 for each axis alignment. 3-5 qualifies as evil/chaotic, and 16-18 qualifies as good/lawful. And that gives you the general distribution of alignment.

My personal experience is that when bad things happen, I react with no thought of consequences for me. That's not what the Allmother would do.

Linky

I probably forgot something, but someone will chastise me for it eventually. :)
