I want to make a character focused on dealing Sonic Damage, any suggestions?

As Said Above

Bard with Sound Striker archetype is exactly that.

The downside is that the sonic attacks are counting as a bardic performance, so you cannot also do Inspire Courage until you get the ability to have 2 performances running.

The teamwork feat choral support can turn the energy damage of your spells into sonic damage, you just need an ally with that feat to spend a standard action every turn you cast.

The best solution to that would probably be to get a familiar with the valet archetype to do that for you.

Weapon Shift, ally with Choral Support, and the ability to cast Flame Blade or Shadow Weapon (Battle Poi).
Cast the spell and convert it to Sonic damage with Choral Support. Wild Shape and activate Weapon Shift. Now all of your natural attacks deal Sonic damage instead of physical, which includes your Str bonus and Power Attack.

A single-classed Druid can make it work, but I'd take four levels of Weretouched Shifter and work myself from there if you want something more martial.

A 6th level alchemist can get the concussive bomb discovery to do sonic damage. Optimising bombs is in a couple of guides if you need further help from there.

Some thoughts:
- Sorcerer, focusing on sonic-based spells, with the Choral Support and Concussive Spell feats can probably work well. The sorcerer/wizard spell list may work better than the bard list for sonic damage.

- A dip in bard (no more than 1-2 levels) to qualify for Discordant Voice may also be an option.

- Choosing boggard (Race Builder) for race allows access to the Sonic Croak feat.

A boggard bard 2/sorcerer X with a selection of sonic damage spells, the Choral Support, Concussive Spell, Discordant Voice, and Throat Pouch/Sonic Croak feats, plus a familiar (either through the Arcane bloodline, Aberrant bloodline and Tumor Familiar feat, etc.) that also has the Choral Support feat looks like a character with a lot of options for sonic damage.

The Phrenologist Bard has a Performance that increases Sonic damage when Sonic damage is dealt...

Skull Sonata (Su): At 1st level, a phrenologist learns to use the resonance of other creatures’ skulls to increase sonic damage. All enemies within 30 feet of the phrenologist that have skulls take an amount of additional sonic damage equal to half the phrenologist’s bard level (minimum 1) each time they take sonic damage. Skull sonata relies on audible components.

This ability replaces inspire courage.

Shadow Lodge

Its 3rd party, but Spheres of Power is excellent for themes like this. Destruction has at least two ways of providing sonic damage.

SONIC PISTOL

You'd need a VERY permissive GM to allow this outside of the Iron Gods adventure path ... but I don't know your GM?

(In the unlikely even that this is the option you go for and your GM allows it, the batteries to recharge it cost 100gp each and hold 10 charges, so it's ~10gp per shot with this weapon.)

I forgot the optional Words of Power rules can be a way (by taking the Experimental Spellcaster feat twice) for an arcanist, bard, magus, sorcerer, or wizard to pick up the three Sonic effect words for some flexibility (using the Target words) in using the same "spell" (effect word) to affect a single creature, different areas, or creating a "wall" of damaging sound.

Boggard Phrenologist Bard

Feats: Choral Support, Concussive Spell, Discordant Voice, Experimental Spellcaster, Experimental Spellcaster, Sonic Croak, Throat Pouch

That right there puts you at level 13, and gives you the ability belch out a Sonic blast in a cone, add Sonic damage to all your allies attacks, amplify all Sonic damage dealt near you by a static amount equal to half your level, and convert almost any damaging spell to deal Sonic damages.

Did anything ever come of this?

Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I would just post something here. It's no Words of Power Boggard with Sonic Croak, but I think this does pretty well with Skull Sonata and Discordant Voice working together. I also am in the camp that Bardic Performance and Masterpieces can be ran together symultaneously, so I think Skull Sonata can also work with Vindictive Soliloquy.

I gave up a 4th level spell for the Masterpiece at level 12, so at level 13 I took Expanded Arcana for two 4th level spells. Lol. Could have just given up the 13th level feat for the Masterpiece, but this way actually puts me one 4th level spell ahead... and I still get my Masterpiece.

You would probably be better with a Bard, with as a Wand Crafter.

If you have a Wand of Ear-Piercing Scream or Thundering Drums, you would be good to go :)

I'm not sure I understand... wands always have pathetic DC's and damages except for a new corner cases like Magician Bard that can use their CL for wands they use. But Magician Bard doesn't stack with Phrenologist, and Phrenologist is what gives the bonus to sonic damage... which is what this whole thread seems to be about maximizing.

At level 13, J'onn can give all his allies an additional 1D6+6 sonic damage to all their attacks, whilst calling down bolts of thunder that do 5D10+6 sonic damage each... I'm just not seeing how any wand is going to replicate these effects, much less prove to be better than them.
