Did this when the game came out, thought it would be fun to do again! What new characters are you excited to make?

1) Orc druid with the mauler archetype to get some THW support. Plant order. His name is Stump, and his leshy familiar is Twig. Hes just happy to be here.
2) Ratfolk Primal Witch. Gonna be as creepy as possible.
3) Catfolk Swashbuckler, as that sounds like a lot of fun.
4) Tiefling Flame Oracle who cant contain thandie of his demonic ancestry

5) Elven eldritch archer + beastmaster archetype (not sure about main class yet) who is just a general dick and shoots everyone from his riding drake
6) Dragon Totem Kobold Barbarian with Dragon Disciple Archetype and Monk/Martial artist dip for Dragon Style - he wants to be the most draconic Kobold ever!
7)Male Nymph Bloodline Sorcerer with Dandy archetype and a lack of the ability to keep it in his pants (and out of trouble)

Antonio Banderas impression is obligatory.

8) Monk + Shadowdancer archetype for the ultimate shadow boxer.

9. Beast Master Ranger with a dip into Witch for a familiar and that “pet cache” spell. Tactically commands their beasts as they battle and swaps them out from their pocket dimension when the going gets tough. Styles themself a dungeon monster trainer.

10. The character I'll be playing when the APG drops, a Half-orc liberator marshal! The master of battlefield tactics.

11. CN human rogue medic. Fights with her trusty scalpel, and you won't wonder why she lost her medical license.

12. Dhampir Elf Swashbuckler Pirate that Captains the Sanguine Penguin turning the seas blood red one throat at a time

I might update my "angel of death" human socerer as either an Aasimar or Duskwaler, and/or maybe pick the Psycopomp bloodline in place of his Celestial bloodline. Beyond that, my playtest Witch will be getting a full release write up, AND my PF1 Tiefling Investigator can get ported as well! As to wholly new characters, I have a homebrew-gun using Dhampir Champion of Sarenrae who hunts Fangs while looking like Alucard

14. Beastmaster Transmutation Wizard, their family made a pact with a beast generations ago and it's now this Wizard turn to take the burden. Use Physical Boost to increase the Animal companion chance in combat maneuvers.

15. Orc Barbarian Marshal with the hunter background, leads small groups of hunters and scouts to capture fearsome beasts.

17. Loremaster Lore Oracle, for maximum knowledge

18. Tengu Wit Swashbuckler Linguist, for a character who is able to banter anywhere he goes!

Quest #10: The Broken Scales spoiler:
Sewer Dragons background from the Q10 Chronicle

21) Kobold Chirurgeon Alchemist with the Blessed One archetype, he is a good boy.

Liberty's Edge

22) kobold dragon-blooded sorcerer/dragon disciple/draconic instinct barbarian. Dragon.

23) Evil Elf Mutagenist Beastmaster, it tests their drugs and mutagens on the poor companion (someone save it).

24. A Tiefling Shoony Witch Necromancer who raises the fallen of their ancestry to serve them

1 person marked this as a favorite.

25. Kobold Tiefling Investigator with the Witch (Occult) multiclass feats, a diabolist worshiping Mammon for occult knowledge to gain an edge in their work. (Or should it be Scroll Trickster for a bit more of a material goods angle? Perhaps Witch with Investigator multiclass?)
26. Human Changeling or Tiefling Witch (Occult or Arcane) Archaeologist, seeking to uncover some artifact to curry favor with their inhuman progenitor.
27. Kobold Monk Dragon Disciple taking the drunken monk feats. The flagon dragon.
28. Human Giant Instinct Barbarian Vigilante, taking multiclass for Wit Swashbuckler. Bruce Banter.

29. Half orc investigator with martial artist archetype.
30. Ratfolk swashbuckler.
31. Human beast master barbarian with an ape.

33. Human fighter

34. An Investigator/Barbarian. A different take on the Jekyll and Hyde build!

Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path Subscriber

We'll have to see how the multiclass archetypes pan out specifically, but...

35. An Investigator who will do anything to seek further knowledge, and someone answers his call. Just not the way they expected. (Picks up Oracle multiclass with Lore mystery/Curse of Torrential Knowledge.)

In general I'm fascinated by the idea that a character may actually pick up the Oracle's curse *during* the campaign as a quest for knowledge or something else gone wrong.

36. Orrin Neville-Smythe - Human champion cavalier marshal (see Flighr of Dragons)
37. Hu Manum Pullum and his raging battle cock - Human barbarian beast master mauler in a chicken suit and pet dire rooster
38. Foerth - Orphaned human ranger spell warden raised by spriggans to hunt fey

1 person marked this as a favorite.

39. Ratfolk Alchemist Scroll Trickster, eventually into Talisman Dabbler. Kit the party out with a never-ending supply of one-shot items. If it's an urban campaign, consider flavoring yourself as a master petty thief who repeatedly commits the perfect (but small) crime, swiping increasingly valuable trinkets that nobody will miss.
40. Kobold Investigator Archer, selecting silver scales. Sterling Archer.

41. (technically a NPC with GMG optional rules used) an Orc Tyrant // Cloistered Cleric of Asmodeus trying to take over the world with an army of heavily armored and disciplined evil orcs (a.k.a. not-Ganon).

3 people marked this as a favorite.

42. Ratfolk Mastermind Rogue multi-classed into Barbarian. Play Ratigan from the Great Mouse Detective
43. Orc Paladin Champion from Mwangi exploring the lore that Mwangi Orcs are demon slayers.
44. Elf Enigma Bard Loremaster with the Elven Longevity feats. Know more about everything than even the GM.

45. Abjurer Wizard/Bastion. Has one very large scar, and has sworn to never get a second.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

46. A longhaired white Catfolk Swashbuckler with the Marshall Archetype, a charismatic leader.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

47. An Oread Monk/gladiator that fancies himself 'The People's Champion". You may or may not smell what he is cooking.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

48. Human Battle Dancer Swashbuckler Assassin who maxes out Performance and Deception (and feats that boost disguise) and takes the Arcane Tattoo line of feats (Ghost Sound, Illusory Disguise, Illusory Creature) -- when you want to assassinate a rival AND make it a humiliating public spectacle, you hire Candy the Dandy Assassin

49. Bodybuilder Tiefling Barbarian with the Dandy and Celebrity archetype, the weapon is a Great Mace that is actually a big dumbbell.

Unfortunately, Oreads aren't one of the heritages showing up in the APG.

50.) Dhampir Iruxi Monk. Good at biting stuff, and able to converse with an eclectic array of different animals.

51.) Aasimar Goblin Oracle of Flames, who worships the Sun as an incarnation of Sarenrae and refers to it as her "Sky-Mom."

52.) Human Duskwalker Bard with the Familiar Master archetype. Both master and familiar look really drab a dreary, but they're actually really upbeat and only play happy songs.

Verdant Wheel

1 person marked this as a favorite.

53) Ranger (Outwit, Monster Hunter) / Marshal who uses their superior skill bonuses to, um... we'll see!

54 Hobgoblin Witch with a Shaitan patron and some alchemy training. Opening up a portal to the Elemental Plane of earth had all sorts of repercussions in Opprak.

54) half-orc primal witch. Want to recreate a shaman I had in a different campaign

56- Elf Nature Domain Cleric with Beastmaster and Herbalist Archetype.

57- Orc Ruffian Pirate with a Parrot familiar.

58 - human investigator rogue. He decides who's guilty and how things went.

HumbleGamer wrote:

Does he need both hands free to properly use his perception skill to search for clues?

59.) Tengu Champion. A bird in full plate is worth two in the bush.

60.) Half-Elf Investigator, who was just a typical baker until they accidentally figured out who a serial killer was due to a series of small clues. Despite the danger, solving mysteries was fun, so they decided to do more of it.

61) Sthama, human Half-Gorgon Oracle of Lore, blessed by Athena. A character with a homebrew heritage I'll be playing in an upcoming Planescape game my girlfriend will be running (debating between Oracle and Wizard, but Wizard wouldn't fit the theme of the thread).

I was thinking about some sort of lawyer able to twist what really happened by diplomacy, deception and thievery.

Not necessarily for evil stuff, but maybe to cover up for the real culprit if he thinks that person deserved justice.

Don't know if you happened to play Sherlock Holmes crime and punishment, but the way you confirm the case is partially like how I'd like to play it.

Oh. I thought you were making a Monk reference.

"Here's what happened..."

62) A Wizard w/ the Cavalier archetype, an idea I had since the playtest and saw Cavalier as an archetype. A mounted caster who uses said mount to move about the battlefield.

I was playing and learning about Fire Emblem at the time, and I discovered those horse-mounted caster units. Seemed like something that was really different so I got interested in making my own.

So close!

63) I have a Gnome Illusionist I want to make that I hope the Staff thesis makes cooler-and especially looking forward to the feat that lets me make a deception check to re-fool someone with an illusion they mentioned in the new sanctioning stuff

64) Depending on how exactly Eldritch Archer works (whether it works with focus spells) a bow wielding Champion / Eldritch Archar that fires Litany arrows at bad people.

65) A Gnomw-Tiefling Outwit Ranger that is just the most annoying prankster.

Silver Crusade

66) A Tiefling Barber Rogue Vigilante with a war razor, of course.

67) Chameleon Gnome Swashbuckler that uses his ability to change his skin pigment to enhance his own particular idiom.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

68) Asimair Tengu Swashbuckler/Bard named Alber T. Ross

69) Kobold Investigator named Turok Dromes

70) Kobold Alchemist Charlatan with Trick Magic Item that claims to be a Dragon-Blooded Sorcerer (possibly sells Drake Oil cures on the side)

71) Tengu Occult Witch named Edgar A. Poe. With a monkey familiar and casts spells by writing elegies

72) Changeling Barbarian Witch; uses Cackle to sustain spells like Phantom Pain while beating you with a giant Shillelagh

1 person marked this as a favorite.

73) Frilled Iruxi Monk with Cobra stance line of feats (apparently it does poison and eventually gets reach) - be that poison-spitting dinosaur from Jurassic Park
