Alright, should be all set! The extra 50gp for mundane supplies was extra fun.

Yeah, sometimes its the small stuff that get cut when creating a character that could be bits of fun down the road with unique uses.

@Astrid yes, critically important in my decision making process.

@ALL today is the last opportunity to make a submission for the RoW AP. Once we hit 11/8/19 12:00am Central Time submissions will be closed and I will make my final decisions.

I have been enjoying the read through I am currently doing. Getting some great ideas for character tie-in/incentives. I believe this is going to be a great time!!

Sorry for making this fairly last minute. This week has been a little nutty. I didn't have a huge amount of time to write this, so I hope it's satisfactory, but please feel free to ask any questions. I would certainly be open to expanding it more, if I get chosen. :)

Background:
Have you ever had the feeling that you just didn't belong anywhere?

That would probably be the name of my life story, if I ever decided to write it down somewhere. The only issue then would be trying to find some place to settle down long enough to write the book, and that's not likely to happen. Of course, at this point, it would be a fairly short book, but who knows what's to come.

My name is Fintan Vulca, wanderer and gun-for-hire, but I prefer that people call me Finn. I was born to band of roaming traders and entertainers who went from town to town making what coin they could. The only homes we had were a few carts and whatever ground we could find to lay our heads. Unfortunately, this kind of lifestyle comes with it's own inherent risks, but let's not put the caravan before the horse, shall we?

I was 16 when I was given my first tatoo, a kind of rite of passage showing that I was old enough to help work. Not to say that I wasn't doing anything before hand. Everyone helped out in the caravan. But I was becoming an adult, and so was able to start working myself. The first thing that I was taught was self-defense. My pa gave me an old, but well-kept, pistol and taught me how to use it and take care of it. From there, I learned a little bit of everything.

Unfortunately, that all ended when the family decided to move east, out of Varisia, into new territory. Unknown lands that tended to be less tolerant and easily as dangerous. Somehow, we managed to make our way all the way towards the River Kingdoms. I'll admit, it seemed like a beautiful place at first, with small areas of civilization scattered throughout. But we couldn't see the danger for the tress, if you catch my meaning.

We were set on by a group of slavers and thugs who weren't very picky about the condition over there wares. Turns out a group like ours isn't worth spending much time keeping them alive if they fight back too hard. Most of my family was slaughtered, practically in front of my eyes. I probably would have joined them if I hadn't been knocked off a nearby cliff into the river below and swept down stream. Lady Desna must have been watching out for me, 'cause I came to without much damage.

Eventually I made my way back to the camp only to find it litered with bodies and damaged wagons. Most of everything that had any real value was taken, but luckily the bandits seemed to be in too much of a hurry to do any thorough searching. A traveling caravan can't be too careful about where they leave their valuables. I was able to find enough money and supplies to keep me going on my own, once I set the dead to rest.

After that, there's not much to tell. I went back to wandering the road on my own, trying to make a living with the skills that I was given, keeping to my family's tradition of staying on the move, never really settling in. I grew to enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. Eventually, I made my way to Taldor and a small hamlet called Heldren. Who knows where my feet will take me from there.

Description/Personality:
Finn is a Varisian male, not overly tall, but lean of build. His strange blueish hair is kept short and scruffy in a way that seems almost natural. His eyes have a gold tinge to their coloration, making it almost seem like they shine in the light. He has a small, intricate tatoo under his right eye, marking his heritage clearly.

Despite the road his life has followed, Finn manages to be positive and upbeat, though he could be mistaken for seeming callous and flippant. In truth, the Varisian boy lives life one day at a time and takes every new experience head on.

Even though he tends to travel alone, he appriates good company and is not adverse to traveling with others, should their paths cross.

While not a devout person, Finn reveres the Song of Spheres highly, if for no other reason than the show of good luck he's been given in recent years.

I also need to fine-tune his purchases, but I also didn't get a response from my previous question about how I can do my initial purchases for his ammunition.

Background:

Karl has lived in Helden for most of his life, his father bringing him there when he was young. His father told him when he was old enough that his mother had been a witch, and she had fled another more dangerous witch. His father hid Karl and himself to avoid the clash.
Karl’s mother had blessed him, making him much more resistant to evil magic, telling Karl’s father he had a destiny involving witches and their plots. Karl was hidden to avoid such things. But fate has a way of not being denied.
As a boy, Karl was involved in the community and became a follower of Erastil, the huntsman of the gods. Protector of communities. At first, he thought to become a cleric, but Erastil had a different purpose for the young man. When he discovered a young Arsinoitherium, and hand-raised it, naming the beast Tiny, they became close companions. Erastil gifted a bond to Karl. So, he became a Huntsman of Erastil, a defender and hunter of monsters. Well eventually. He still has much to go. But with his friend Tiny, he is on his way.

In under the wire, but had to apply. Had been lurking since page 1, then saw the deadline come up.

Sadly, think I'll need to withdraw. Won't be able to get something together tonight. Happy gaming!

I haven't really got much already prepped for him - I usually end up building a backstory after playing the character.

Background:
Emil isn't a tremendously storied man. He has lived his whole life in the Sky Citadel Kravenkus, located in the scenic mountains of Taldor. He has avoided more physical labor all his life, favoring his studies and being close to the sky above. Most of his adult life has been spent mastering the art of law, and he's much closer to being LN than pure Evil - he's definitely motivated by self interest and a desire for a comfortable lifestyle, but he's not the traitorous type.

He works as a circuit lawyer employed by the Taldan government, travelling the countryside handling small claims disputes primarily - small town stuff, like "my neighbor killed by cow". He isn't a big fan, but knows eventually he'll be a proper court lawyer, so he's happy to do the work.

With submissions over, I want to wish everyone best of luck!

@Lethry It doesn't matter if you submitted the first day the recruitment opened or with 30 seconds before it closed. They all get the same look over.

@Astrid Sorry to see you go.

@ALL I have already been doing some initial combing through the characters last night and I must say that this, while being a fun read, is going to be hard to slim down. I'll be back soon!

Oh man... I thought today was the deadline! I was still kind of debating whether I really should apply to another game but I was going to do it anyways; I guess maybe it’s for the best that I missed the deadline, lol. Good luck to everyone who did submit on time.

*refresh button dance*

Lethyr watches the maiden in her strange dance, uncertain why she dances and to what music she is doing so, yet somehow certain this dance has been performed for years and shall continue onward.

Sorry for the delay all. Family stuff and still mulling over the final party makeup. You all did such a great job that part of me wants to run two games to have more of you in it, but I also know that I do not have that kind of time to dedicate to both.

I want to thank EVERYONE for submitting a character. So many good backstories that I would love to see get used.

That being said I am changing what I am looking for. We will have 5, not 4.

The Party
Calie Choros
Jujopotamous Jumbomanic the Third
Ottast Prumur
Randgrid
Trawets Aarock

Congrats guys and please make your way over to the discussion page for further instructions.

Once again, thank you to everyone who submitted.

Thanks for everything, Squirrel Ninja. And good luck to everyone. :)

Congrats and good luck everyone.

Thanks and congrats to those who got in
