30% off AP books? I didn't know that. This current one in the email does not appear to show that discount for me. I have no idea about previous months.

Checking this out and PF AP 147 was discounted correctly, but for some reason I'm seeing that 148 was cancelled Sept 25th. Is that correct, or should I un-cancel it?

With regards to Battles:

We're going to be sending out an email by the end of the week letting Battles Subscribers know about the unexpected size and weight changes that for many/most cases, increase shipping costs. Since my understanding is that they need to ship by themselves anyway, it shouldn't matter if the other October subscriptions have already shipped as there wouldn't be any shipping savings if they were combined (in fact, some folks with other subs over $100 will get the $10 shipping discount on both the order for the Paizo October subs and the order for the Battles case).

Subscribers can reply to that email and let us know if they'd like to see what the shipping will be and we'll be able to provide shipping quotes. At that point, subscribers can choose to go ahead and ship the case, or skip this case or the Goblin Village case premium.

We're going to try to make sure that even if a subscriber chooses to skip this case due to the shipping costs, they can still get the subscription discount on the qualifying Pathfinder Battles minis items like the singles. We're also going to have the new release singles up for a little longer than usual to give people extra time if they need it to figure out what they want to do.

When the next set releases, we'll go back to the usual subscription generation for Battle subscribers.

If you're reading this thread and want to get the ball rolling for your minis, you can shoot customer service an email letting us know you'd like a shipping quote for them. It would be really helpful if you put words like Battles, Subscription, and Legendary Adventures, in the subject line of your email.
If you don't care about what the shipping costs will be, just let us know and we'll set up and ship your case as soon as possible.
If you're feeling curious and proactive, you can also add the Legendary Case and premium to your cart and go through checkout just far enough to see what shipping is going to be and then let us know what you want to do.

Ahh, that's nearly 90 dollar shipping to Texas. Yeah if that's what this ends up costing I'll definitely not be ordering directly anymore, even with the subscriber discount it's wildly more expensive than buy from another (or several other websites).

Paizo's shipping prices have always been on the high end (even with the unimpressive first ten discount) but 87 dollar shipping is... well I can see why you know it needs to be improved lol.

I'd much rather by direct though, so I'll chill for now while you find a better solution. :)

Was that USPS Priority? Mine was about 30, but I am local to Paizo

Heh. UPS international is $528 to here. They’ve priced themselves out of consideration this time, that’s for sure. The promo box must be a really odd size/shape.

It was accidentally cancelled by Sam Phelan when I asked to have my Starfinder AP cancelled. Sam said they put everything back correctly.

Random PDF question - I noticed Age of Ashes 1-3 had only the single file version of the pdf, Age of Ashes 4 has the single and multi-file version. Are we going to get the multi-file version of 1-3, or was this just a one off?

Interesting. I got a quote of just over 80 dollars for shipping to New Jersey. I guess the fact that I live in a more densely populated area overcame the greater total distance?

Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

This information is intended to help fellow Battles subscribers regarding the Legendary Adventures case, Goblin Village set, and any choices he or she might need to make about one or both of these items. Obviously for folks in other areas of the United States, things will be different.

Location: Northeast Ohio (specifically, the Akron/Kent area)

Shipping Method Used: UPS Ground (1-5 business days, cheapest option available)

Scenario 1 = 2 Items/2 shipment packages:
Shipment 1: Legendary Adventures Case: $279.99 +($51.94 S&H)
Estimated Package Weight: 12 lbs.; Adjusted Dimensional Weight: 29 lbs.
Shipment 2: Legendary Adventures Incentive: $24.99 (+$28.97 S&H)
Estimated Package Weight: 4 lbs.; Adjusted Dimensional Weight: 12 lbs.

Subtotal: $304.98
Shipping & Handling: $80.91
Paizo Shipping & Handling Discount: -$10.00
Final Order Total = $375.89

Scenario 2 = 1 Item/1 shipment package:
Shipment 1: Legendary Adventures Case: $279.99 +($51.94 S&H)
Estimated Package Weight: 12 lbs.; Adjusted Dimensional Weight: 29 lbs.

Subtotal: $279.99
Shipping & Handling: $51.94
Paizo Shipping & Handling Discount: -$10.00
Final Order Total = $321.93

Summary/Thoughts: The Goblin Village adds an additional $28.97 in shipping & handling on top of the already steep $51.94 shipping charge for the Legendary Adventures Case. Add in the $24.99 Battles-subscriber cost of the Incentive itself, and that’s a total of $53.96 you can save by passing up on the set this time around. If you use dungeon dressing and set pieces, it’s possible you feel the extra cost is completely worth it. If, like me, you only use Creatures/PCs/NPCs in your campaign, you might decide it makes more sense to sit the Goblin Village out.

Not sure, I’m in Leander Texas, which is a suburb of Austin, so not exactly in the middle of nowhere either.

Are you sure you are going for the cheapest shipping? I seem to recall seeing a price around $100 for the second cheapest option when I ran the miniatures items through the checkout process to check shipping prices.

The price I got does seem to match up with Pigraven's.

Sadly, it's just that terrible.

Options are:
USPS priority for 87.89
UPS ground for 162.86
UPS second day air 348.82
UPS Next day air 531.47

Absolutely bonkers.

My understanding is that there's a bunch of different factors that go into shipping calculation including the proximity to sorting/distribution centers, and how many other packages in general are going out in the similar direction.

Anyone getting shipping quotes/shipped, be aware the price in cart seems to be working correctly, but when trying to checkout on the phone just now it wasn't giving the proper subscriber rate (279.99 ) for the base case part of the shipment. I've noticed it's done this on a number of sets in the past until an update was pushed or something for the set. Make sure it doesn't charge the wrong amount before giving the go-ahead.

If you have a subscription, you should not be completing check out. Use it to calculate shipping by going through the checkout process just far enough to see what shipping is going to be, and then let us know if you want us to generate the subscription order. If you want to skip it, you don't need to do anything, (though it would be helpful if you let us know that shipping was the reason you are choosing to skip it).

Yep I know, (if that was a reply to me). I was just calling attention to it because the price when Virginia (or was it Victoria? I'm terrible with names). Anyhow when the lovely lady on the call earlier today helped me process my order. It tried to set the case price as 399 originally, but she got it to work properly after some fiddling. Almost didn't catch it at first, that would have been a bummer @.@

This seems to imply that we have to tell you if we want this Battles subscription shipped. Is this correct?

You can if you know what you want to do, or you can wait until the email goes out and reply to that:

Not sure an email has gone out yet, I didn't receive one either. I emailed support after identifying the shipping cost and had my shipment sent out.

Will we also get notification of the cost of the PFB set. If the cost of shipping is so much higher I may be forced to cancel.

I updated the order and your subscription to what I believe is the correct new number. Please review the email confirmation I sent to ensure its correct.

I also set up a suspended order for the battles case so you can review what the shipping would be on that, I sent you an email of what the order looks like currently.

Thanks, replaced a few days ago. Happy to go ahead with this one.

It's showing the cheapest shipping for me is $100 through UPS. That's freaking crazy! I've had couches and a very large treadmill delivered for much less. I'll go ahead with Ignatius time, but hopefully Paizo finds a way to never let this happen again. There's no way I can or will pay this again.

Just in case someone didn't get their email - I received mine today, so presumably they've all gone out.

I think it was a general e-mail to all Pathfinder Battles subscribers -- I got the e-mail too, and I had already sent them an e-mail giving them the okay to ship the minis to me. And the e-mail did say for us not to bother to reply to the e-mail if we had already done that.

There was another e-mail sent out just before they ran the October auths, but it did not reflect the unexpectedly high weight and shipping cost of the minis and their decision have us opt in if we still want the minis.

If I am reading this e-mail correctly, they won't ship the minis to anyone who doesn't contact them and say that they do want the minis.

Yeah. There were some queries about whether the second email had gone out. So just in case...

eh, „Mail Innovation“ to Germany (= UPS + local postal service for the last mile) only went 30$ up to 100$ in shipping, I can work with that.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

It's $60 to Arizona, that's a bump of about $20.

Thanks to my Nest doorbell, I know my third set of mini's has arrived (I'm feeling a bit under the weather, I think I may need to leave work early). But my china cabinet no longer has any more room, how do you all display (store) your mini's?

My battles sub still says pending and payment method required. I checked the new payment according to the email and it appears correct. Is there a issue I should be concerned about?

I have the same issue, and emailed them about it the other day. They said they are having some issues with UPS Ground shipping, and that's apparently what's caused the weirdness. I use store credit to pay for my order. It's already taken payment out of my store credit (and the email assured me I wouldn't be charged for shipping again). So all I'm waiting for at this point is for them to literally ship the boxes out.

I'm not going to lie..at this point it's getting a bit frustrating. I won't air my grievances here, but it certainly seems as if it's been one thing after another.

Shipping of minis has definitely begun. The tracking info says that Paizo slapped the labels on both boxes in my order. If they were a different sort of product, I would have their PDFs now.

Hm. Maybe instead of pdfs, battles subscribers should get formulas for "printing" the minis on a 3d printer. :-)

We're getting through the emails for battles subs as quickly as possible and taking those orders down to ship as soon as possible. We had some unexpected outages and its just me and Diego today, but we're working as efficiently as we can on the Battles and other CS requests.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi Sara Marie, I called last week and spoke with a CS rep and asked them to ship my Battles & incentive. I have yet to receive the order email. When should I expect that?

Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Sara Marie,

I sent an email about this early this morning but decided to post here, too, because sometimes the system gets weird with my orders. Like Fumarole above me, I notified a CS rep last week and asked them to ship my Battles & Incentive. They put the order through, it charged me (store credit, like I have it set up), but it's still marked Pending. I know sometimes it takes awhile to go from Pending to shipping out, but it's been over a week now.

I know you've been having issues with UPS Ground, outages, and short-handedness. But recent history has taught me that sometimes even when I think everything is okay with my order, there's a small hiccup somewhere. So I thought I'd mention it, Order 8189904, just in case that's what's happened here.

Please let me know if there is something else I need to do on my end. Thank you.

Okay, I am confused about my Pathfinder Battles subscription. I got the email, but it left me even more confused.

I would like my subscription, but it does not look like it is on it's way. How do I get this thing rolling?

They'll probably see this post, but best is to email them (with prominent PFBattles in the subject line) confirming you want the full sub shipped.

(Fwiw, I think its worth estimating the shipping yourself. My "usual" shipping method jumped to $530 or so - way higher than its ever been before).

I haven't received a response either, and it's been at least a week since I sent the email, so I wonder if they're just overwhelmed.

It is very unusual not to hear something from them. I am very surprised. Overwhelmed may be it.

They've been running behind since GenCon, as far as I can tell. If it's something time-sensitive, I'd definitely recommend calling during office hours if possible.
