I was mildly bugged by the fact that every element dealt bludgeoning damage
At first that bugged me, but then I realized that if you're hitting someone with a big rock, or a big ball of water, or a big gust of air each sufficient to do damage- what kind of damage is that going to be if not bludgeoning?
Blood Magic being something that just happens, and you have no real control over it is pretty appropriate, and shouldn't give you fine control.

I could see something like spears of rock, or cutting winds being a thing, but by and large I agree with you. If I had a player come to me and ask to change their damage type on their character as well, however, I wouldn't have any problems with it since it also looks like the monsters have a nice mix of resistances overall.
And if nothing else it gives the eventual (I hope) revamp of the kineticist another possible toy to play with.

Oh!
And I LOVE the deity cleric alignment thing getting tightened up a bit- the "one step" rule from 3.5 always left room for some head-scratching corner cases.
Sure, it may cause some conversion hiccups, but it allows for more thematic coherence.
Additionally, I've been in love with the concept of edicts and anathema since they were mentioned.

I had a great time creating a 2E Druid today. I wasn't able to do everything I wanted at 1st level, but I'm hoping that if I ever get to play her and gain a few levels, I will. I was also surprised to learn that Druids no longer have to have "Neutral" in their alignment!
I really like this attitude, the looking forward to the process of getting the cool things you wanted as you adventure. I've seen a lot of people with... very high standards for what they need to have access to at 1st level to be satisfied, but this is a refreshing take.

I really, REALLY enjoy that half-elves and half-orcs are no longer limited to human as their other half! I finally get to play that dwarf-elf hybrid character I always wanted!

Happy thought of the day: This thread has hit the second page with all posters respecting my request for keeping things positive! Thank you, posters!
Makes it easier to read other threads with a positive helpful attitude to have this to come home to.

In session 1 of Fall of Plaguestone my Draconic bloodline sorcerer got to use her Dragon Claws and... I forking love the side effects from the bloodline spells. My GM did an awesome job of describing the bronze scales that shimmered into appearance.
I really love the character creation overall. That's probably my favourite part of any game lol, but to echo a few people here, I really just want to go play around and make a bunch of different characters now.
Also sorely tempted to convert my DnD5e homebrew into PF2e.

Los Tibaron, Shark of the Land!
Yea the size increase just let's you do it before legendary and is a cool image. But not the most optimal choice

Who dafrick cares if it's optimal? It works plenty well and it's awesome. PF2 in a nutshell. ;P

Ooh, aaah!
I need to read up on lore again. I take it that PF2 sort of resets the setting, or does it continue where PF1 left off with things?GameDesignerDM |

It picks up right after the end of Tyrant's Grasp.

The monster design. OMG the monster design is so good. I love that some monsters can just totally mess with the action economy to make them viable solo encounters. Like there is a monster that can grapple one person, then cart them around the battlefield while making free attacks on the whole rest of the party. And then run away (with victim still in mouth) if anyone approaches it. All in one turn.
Even "boring" animals do cool things. Hyenas trip you and drag you away from the pack. Bears chase you down and maul you.
It's really easy to look at a monster's abilities and immediately understand how to run that monster in combat and what makes it stand out from other monsters, and I love that.
This is one of the best parts of the system. I would LOVE if Paizo eventually came up with ways to spice up monsters with "surprises." You know how zombies have those extra optional abilities that a GM can throw in at their leisure? I think it would be great if a future book had similar options for all their monsters. A bear should not always bear should always a bear!
I want players to look at monsters and not be like, "Oh, it's X. It will do Y if we get close to it." Although the abilities in PF2 are so much better and surprising than in previous editions, I think even those can get samey after a while. Players should be on their toes!
PF2 is doing great things with its monsters and has me looking forward to the future!

I think I'm just stuck at a point where i keep making characters that are super interesting to me, admiring the artwork (which is sooo freaking amazing!), or just being on these forums seeing cool things that people are talking about. It can get pretty heated on some things, but i have to say just having this topic makes me glad I picked up pf2 when I did. =D

I LOVE that there are no modifiers for age or body shape. I can play an obese monk that can jump about like he's weightless or a harmless-looking geriatric grandmother with the strength of 20 men and barbarian rage.

My preference is for the whole "forming an element into a spear, a snake, a cloud, a pillar, a spindle, etc." to be the province of what the Kineticist gets from class feat(ure)s, rather than what the Elemental Blooded Sorcerer gets from blood magic. If a elemental sorcerer wants to use spell slots, they can do those sorts of things though.
Blood magic really shouldn't be a thing you have active control over, any more than you can just decide to stop bleeding when you cut your finger. Unlike cutting your finger, it's always good, but it's just a thing that happens when you magic right.
