2e PDFs before GenCon

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I'm very excited to play 2e, but I am -NOT- excited to lug this printed doorstop of a rulebook around a convention. Why are the PDF's not available BEFORE GenCon?

Seconded. But it's more because the global area where I live will be August 2 when the Paizo office hits 9:00 AM August 1, so I am doomed to get it a day later (scientifically not, but it's that cheated feeling that's important for me)...

As a fellow future-dwelling person I feel your pain.

I hope I sleep the night of August 1 but there is a 50/50 chance I'll stay up and click refresh every 15 seconds until it's out and once I have them PDFs I'm not sleeping until I've read at least all of the class feats.

Don't they drop at midnight PST?

I thought the playtest dropped 8 am PDT so they had somebody onsite in case things went wrong.

When starfinder dropped it was about 8pm est, I took a day off, that was a mistake

this time I take off the day after and just go to work that day, less time to wait and less frustration for me

I believe PDFs go live when the doors open at GenCon, which is 10 AM Eastern Daylight Time.

I do hope Paizo has bulked up the server farm a bit...

I believe that their PDF delivery system is cloud-hosted on AWS nowadays, so there should be no problem there. They just need to turn the dial up to 11 for a few hours.

That is the time that 2e.aonprd.com gave for going live.
