Enhancement bonus to Charisma

Advice

What else can give it to my character besides headband? Maybe there is a way to get +6 to Charisma without headband permanently?

Thanks!

Headband is only a example you can changed to a cape, ring, amulet, etc

Optional magic rules let you craft something in another slot for 50% increased cost.

Pink and Green Sphere Ioun Stone gives +2 to Charisma, costs double that of a headband.

There are more expensive Ioun Stones that give +2 to Int/Con, but those cost 24k gold each, 72k gold total, which is again double the price of a Headband or Belt of +6 to one stat. There is no stacking Ioun Stone for Str/Dex/Wis/Cha.

I should ask, why do you want your Headband slot open? Headband and belt slots and very dull most of the time, since they are in direct competition with two of the biggest items in the game for every character.

There is an artifact, that our master designed, that SOMETIME occupies a headband slot. Artifact is great, but if I not wear it in it's wanted slot it will cease functioning for 1 week. So I try to find an alternative to my +6 headband, because it's my primary stat and +3 HP per HD ;)

If you go to aonprd.com and do a search for "enhancement bonus + charisma", you will find every magic item by Paizo (for PF1 or D&D 3.5) that grants an enhancement bonus to charisma (including a few false hits). However, the only one of these items that grants a +6 bonus and is not a headband or an artifact is the master mirror of Vanity's Eye -- and it requires a slave/victim to donate 6 points of their charisma for that effect to work.

D&D 3.5 had a "cloak of charisma" that filled the shoulders slot and cost the same as the corresponding headband, but it would introduce the problem of how to get resistance bonuses to your saves with the shoulders slot filled.

d20pfsrd.com has some 3rd party items that grant enhancement bonuses to charisma. One of them is the Captain's Charm, which given the date of its publication must have been written for D&D 3.5. That item grants a +6 enhancement bonus to charisma and fills the neck slot.

What optional rule? Page 549 don't show me that optional rule

Something from the book Ultimate Campaign. It doesn't actually say much about cost, just for GMs to be careful due to balance.

There are rules for adding stuff at 50% increased cost, but that requires same slot.

Ring of Resistance should do the trick. Not many people seem to know about it, at least in my experience.

Probably because they are from a relatively recent adventure path. I only found them (and subsequently forgot about them) because I was searching aonprd.com for items that gave resistance bonuses to saves.

I thought they'd always been around, since they were a staple magic item in the 3.5e D&D. Rarely ever used them, but I knew they were there. I am surprised Paizo waited that long to officially print them.

That only apply if you wanted to add an additional ability like +6cha, +4 con since+6 is superior it cost 50% more

He what to change the location not to add additional ability

A series of wish spells can get you a +5 inherent bonus to Charisma permanently, if you have a way to get five individual wish spells cast on you one after another (and if you can afford the 125,000 gp in spell component costs before taking into account scroll/spellcasting service costs that may apply). It's not +6 and not an enhancement bonus, but it may help some.

The link mentions changing locations. It is basically up to gm with possible story sub plots needed.

Shadow Lodge

The ring of resistance costs 50% more for a cloak of resistance on a different slot. So it follows that +50% for a headband of charisma changed to a different slot.

Silver Crusade

Rod of Splendor

that because you pass from craft wondrous item to craft ring it's a use a different system of enchantment

Ask your GM if you can get a hat or mask of Charisma. Both of those slots would "fit" for Charisma (as opposed to, say, boots or undies* of Charisma), so more likely to get an ok, with or without the 50% boost in cost.

*Yes, I know there's no "pants" slot.

It is really a pity that Purple Duck Games stopped selling their PDFs through Paizo. I really loved their "Magic Pants" supplements.

Try DriveThruRPG, it's not like they stopped selling their PDFs entirely.

Yes, I am familiar with DriveThruRPG. I had to go there for the 2nd "Magic Pants" supplement.

But I just happen to prefer getting my PDFs here when possible.
