This is wild speculation but I imagine that they'll NOT have pickups available there simply because of the hassle of verifying a Paizo Account on the most congested 4G network within 800 miles and the complications that would entail at the booth.
More wild speculation!
A second sales booth up near the Sagamore Ballroom by the PFS Room that is open for 4 hours on Thursday and Friday before they sell completely out of physical books. They'll dig up another 300 books on Saturday and those all go to the Show Floor and sell out by 3pm. Sunday they find another 150 books in James Jacobs Hotel Room stashed in closet that they sell most of by the end of Family Day Sales.

I can't imagine we won't have Gen Con pick up for subscribers as that code is already in place. But we had difficulties with a few of the technical aspects of offering the Playtest as Gen Con pick up for non-subscribers and in addition to deciding how things should operate, we need to be sure they can be implemented.

How did it work in the past? Pay for it on the website then they hold it for you there?
It used to be that you could pick up your subscription items at their booth at GENCON. Last year you could pick up your preorder for the Playtest. I would imagine they would go back to the subscription model this year, since a) you couldn't "subscribe" to the playtest and b) Paizo REALLY wants you to be a subscriber and c) you can just cancel your subscription at any time.

Everyone is on board with having the new releases available for pre order pick up at Gen Con 2019. I'm checking in with Rai & her tech team folks to be sure we have the process for selecting this option when placing orders and to change it on existing orders before I put this out into the world officially.
Opting in for convention pick up should start happening around June 10th and the last date to make that choice will depend on when Will needs the truck to leave for Indy.

Thanks for the update Sara, I really appreciate Paizo's hard work in keeping their customer service top notch.

Hello, I probably should be patient, but who are we kidding? So any more on this.
Thanks!

Well, I already had to cancel my pre-order since some vouchers I got at origins can’t be applied to the order AFTER checkout. So, before I go through the rigmarole of putting in another pre-order, I need some way to know if selecting gen con pick up will be an option and when I’ll be able to choose it.

So if I were to choose to pickup my subscriptions at gen con, and purchase the second edition material, and choose to have them ship with my subscription, would they be available for pickup at gen con? I might be a bit confused now...
I believe that's the case. I have several subscriptions and have chosen pickup at gen con and the non-subscription pf2 items I've ordered (the GM screen and the Plaguestone Flip-Mat) are listed in the stuff I'm able to pick up there.

The option is up for subscribers to opt in. I'm working on an email for that.
So, I saw the Bestiary showing up part of my subscription, but not the Core Rulebook itself? o.o

From rooneg's post, it looks like you need to subscribe to at least one product line that has a July/August/Gen Con release and then you can have every July/August/Gen Con released product you preordered that is part of any subscription available for pickup there. If that is right, then people starting subscriptions then are fine, but complete non-subscribers are probably out of luck.

I’m more than a little perturbed at the moment.
I tried to subscribe so I could get this stuff at Gen Con, but the system wouldn’t let me use the vouchers I have to pay for it. So my only choice was to prep-order them.
If I can’t pick them up at Gen Con, I’m going to be pretty unhappy. I do understand the need to let subscribers have some advantage (they get free PDFs) but this isn’t just a standard release.
I wish we would hear SOMETHING.

I was under the impression that you paid for the items in your side-cart when you picked them up, so you could use them for that? Unless I misunderstood, :-(

The vouchers have to be used when you “check out” which I have to do to move the subscriptions to the side cart.
It’s a total no-win scenario. I earned $140 in vouchers and if I want the books in day one, it seems I’d have to shell out 200 bucks of my own money, when I have perfectly good vouchers. That seems a bit unfair in my view.

I saw the email blast this morning about needing to place a preorder by this week if you want to pick them up, but there was no mention of Gencon specifically. Also, the 6/10 date that you mentioned for potentially opting into GenCon pickup has passed. Could you please let us all know how to best go about ordering for GenCon pickup? Many thanks.

I successfully got it setup for Gencon pickup.
I placed the order just now and went to My Account > Account Settings.
From there, scroll down and in the right column you should find "My Subscriptions."
Click the Manage Subscriptions button and you should have an option to pickup at Gen Con. You may have to select that option first before it shows you what items that you have purchased which are available to pickup. It shows all of mine.
However i still have two questions.
1. Can i preorder multiple copies to pickup?
2. Is this a means to guarantee myself a copy before they sell out? For example, do i still need to stand in line on Thursday to guarantee i get a copy before they sell out despite that i have already paid for the item or items?

What email? I have a pre order I submitted Wednesday but have no way to modify it for Gen Con pick up.
There's an email I received at 9 AM EST this morning from the "Paizo Goblins" aka news@email.paizo.com with the subject line "Preorder Your Pathfinder Second Edition Launch Products Today!"
If you didn't receive it, maybe it went to your SPAM filter or maybe you aren't on the mailing list due to preferences, etc.
