[Kickstarter] World of the Lost Lands

Product Discussion

Scarab Sages

Frog God has released their World of the Lost Lands Kickstarter today, and it has an option for a Pathfinder rules addendum as well.

Quote:

Over 42 years in the making, this is the definitive guide to the world of the Lost Lands!

This massive volume includes the history of the Lost Lands, a wealth of detailed maps, cultural information about its nations and peoples, and a huge gazetteer containing descriptions of the world's countries, cities, waterways and geography. For the first time, readers can explore the length and breadth of the great continent of Akados, including regions never before described, and far Libynos, home of the Desert Kingdoms and many ancient cultures alien to the folk of Akados.

The book weighs in at approximately 700 pages in full color, with maps by award-winning cartographers and beautiful, original artwork to place you directly into the world itself in all its glory and terror.

PF Rules Addendum

Looking forward to Greg V's last FGG Pathfinder contribution.

I'm in.

Is FGG leaving Pathfinder?

Yes, what's that about?

I'm pretty sure FGG is moving on to 5E, S&W, and probably Pathfinder 2E? We may still get the occasional 1E supplement, but I think the focus of the company is shifting away from those as core products since they aren't quite as popular anymore.

Also, this project has met its initial funding goal. FGG has successfully delivered *many* Kickstarter projects, so I'm very comfortable with their odds of delivering this one as well. XD I've backed for a physical copy.

With Paizo mooving from PF to PF2 ans 5e being verry popular. I think making their LostLand CS system neutral is the best option available and as someone who will stick with PF I'm realy glad they choose to make it that way.

Also backed for physical copy as soon as it went online, the System neutral made it a no brainer.

Also, a small thread derail since I think the people who will come here may know..

I remember seeing Something last year about an adventure path in the Lost Land but, if I remember corectly, it was to be done by another compagny rather than FGG. It was realy Something that interested me but never heard about it since then.

Someone know about it and can point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I believe you're probably thinking of the AP that Greg Vaughan is working on. That will be set in the Lost Lands but not published through FGG. My understanding is that it is still being written at this point in time.

Yes, Legendary Games is doing an AP in the Lost Lands.

My understanding is that Greg V is no longer with FGG, but I might have bad info?

He sold his share of FGG about a year ago but retained the right to produce materials using the Lost Lands IP. That is very likely the AP that Legendary is publishing (though I'm less certain on this point).

They've been moving away from Pathfinder books for a couple of years now. From what they've said they are actually loosing money on the big projects, that why the last PF1 friendly KS was the Quests of Doom 4.

They have been doing PF stuff on Indigogo, but those are intended for small print runs.

I haven't heard about the Legendary Games AP. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks, it's indeed Legendary Game AP that I remembered. Ashes of Empires by Greg Vaughan. Hopes we get some news about it soon.

That and the Lost Land Campaign Setting are the 2 things I'm realy looking foward to.

You are correct. We're working away behind the scenes on Aegis of Empires! Adventures 2, 4, and 5 are complete for Pathfinder, with conversion started for 5E and conversion planned for PF2 as well.

The maps are in process, but almost all of the artwork for those three adventures is now complete. With the next batch of art orders set to go out later this month. Things are moving along well, aiming towards getting at least the first two adventures done for both systems for late spring/early summer (and the first two PF2 versions available at or shortly after GenCon), with all the rest of them getting lined up so we're ready to rock and roll in earnest later this year. Working ahead is so much less stressful than working behind and trying to catch up!

Thanks! I didn't notice the error until I came back and it was past the editing window.

Is this compatible with PF?
hope so:-)

If you're talking about the Lost Lands kickstarter, the main book is system agnostic and they are also releasing a Pathfinder Appendix for PF rules.
