Hi team - I want to confirm the $15 from the PF2 playtest can be used towards our Subscriptions. Is that accurate?

It's store credit applied to your account so if you have the box checked for use store credit for your subs, it should automatically apply next time we generate subscriptions.

Subscription Update: Speaking of the next time we generate subscription orders, we will be creating August's orders on Tuesday, August 14th. This will give both customer service and the warehouse to untangle from Gen Con a bit.

Since you apparently haven't started spawning the August orders yet, I think I see a potential problem in that my Pathfinder Player Companion and Starfinder Adventure Path books for this month have already disappeared from the My Subscriptions page as they do during the order spawning process.

Or did you start the process just long enough to get that page into that intermediate stage?

Edit: Never mind, from looking at other pages it is indeed obvious that the latter indeed happened, as they too have the August items missing as options for starting subscriptions.

Why can I not start my AP subscription with AP #133: Secrets of Roderick's Cove?

Hi Upaynao,

This is a bug that we had thought was squashed, but decided to pop back up again. This should be fixed for the time being, so you can start your subscription with #133 on the subscription page now.

Hey everybody,

I've done some poking around to make sure that things are good to go, and it seems like we are all clear to start up the subscription process. Going to start turning some knobs and pulling some levers, and things should start moving soon here. I'll be sure to update in this thread if we hit any snags or have any pertinent information.

Woo Hoo!!!

Got more order email just now!!!

edit: AP 133 only

I know this is an unusual question, but can you please ship my order last (On the 23rd or the 24th)?

Paizo Employee Customer Service Representative

Hey folks,

It looks like the order generation process crashed a bit after I left yesterday, so not everybody will have their orders generated yet. Due to our technical difficulties today, we were not able to resume that process, and the tech team has asked that we hold off until tomorrow to make sure that everything is stable to continue. I'll be letting you know once we start that up again.

Thanks so much for your patience!

I just took a look at my account because I wondered that I hadn't gotten an order mail yet. While I guess I'm in those whose order wasn't generated I noticed something else:
My subscription page doesn't show my Starfinder AP for this month, just the volumes after that. My order hasn't been generated yet.
Is this just a side effect of the order generation?

Yeah, that’s a pretty usual effect around subscription time. Once they start the process the “current” volume disappears for everyone, then gradually reappears for each of us individually as our respective orders are spawned.

I don’t think you should worry unless they get to the “we’ve finished!” stage and you still haven’t seen a confirmation email or don’t see an order in your order history showing AP7 on the way.

Hi Katrina-

Is this the same bug that is causing Return of the Runelord #2 to appears my next subscription rather than #1 after War for the Crown #6? Thanks for all your hard work!

I'm pretty sure it's a different bug. I have the same issue. I don't have an authorization email for August yet, and it's in the August shipment that I would expect to get the first adventure in that AP. As I recall, once the authorization process is started, the display of things that will be in that shipment often becomes wonky in some way. The system knows what's going, it just doesn't display it properly. The bug discussed above sounds like it may be connected, but a different bug. Or maybe not. :-)

I have not received an authorization email yet for my August Subscriptions for Starfinder. Should I be concerned? I see the Authorization was supposed to go out on the 14th and shipping is set to go out today. If someone can look into this for me I would appreciate it.

So what is the current status of shipments for this month? Did shipping begin during the outage, or do the expected dates for beginning and ending the shipments need to be moved to the right?

Hello everyone,

We haven't been able to post any updates as the website has been down. We were able to finish running the auth on late Friday evening. We have not been able to ship anything due to the technical difficulties so no shipping has begun. Our website and our internal software is back up and running so we are looking to start shipping on Monday. One of the reasons we usually start shipping the Monday after we run the authorization is so we give folks time to cancel or change orders. Since everything has only been up a very short time we have not been able to go through all of those yet. As soon as we are done with them, which should be sometime Monday, we will give the warehouse the ok to start shipping.

Thank you for keeping us updated.

After dropping my subscriptions at the beginning of Iron Gods, I am finally back to subscribing, and am anxious.

Sigh... between the debacle with Amazon with the playtest materials and this, it's been a rough few months to be a Paizo customer. The two most anticipated APs of the year for me (Return and Aeon) and I'll not likely have the pdfs before or even on the release date, much less the books, which will now likely arrive at least a week after the release date.

Stuff happens, but my parade has been thoroughly drowned in all this rain.

Hello,

I'm trying to start an adventure path subscription starting with Secrets of Roderic's Cove but it keeps swapping to The Six-Legend Soul in checkout. How do I get the subscription but not get The Six-Legend Soul which I already own? I see near the top of the thread it's a bug but is there a workaround for it?

I have to echo this. It devalues subscribing significantly every time product hits store shelves before they hit our mailboxes, even more if we don't even have the PDFs by that point.

Subscription shipping often takes 5-7 business days. If shipping is only starting tomorrow it could be September 4th before some of us get access to the PDF - a week after SF AP7 is on store shelves and available to non-subscribers.

That's unacceptable. Please do better.

I have to disagree. I have been a subscriber to various Paizo products since the days of the Dragon and Dungeon magazines. Including this month, what you are describing has happened, I think, three times in these more than ten years, each time due to unusual circumstances, just like this time. For me, it may be annoying, but it's acceptable. The world does not stop if you get an AP module a week late. Other companies I order from, including, for example, Amazon, do much worse on a much more regular basis.

I also use UPS international shipping, which may be a bit more expensive, but it usually gets me my books to Germany, before the shop here have them.

Amazon would never tolerate their website being down for a day, much less a week. In 2018 websites are so mission critical to business they're hosted redundantly such to never go down, and if they do pink slips start raining down on the responsible team.

Also, when Amazon messes up an order they offer to extend your Prime for free.

I am afraid I have to echo some of what Arc Riley said: One of the reasons I subscribe is to get product earlier than street date. That may not happen this time around and that is very disappointing.

I have never had an issue with ANY other company, including Amazon, on shipping on time. I just ordered from Maple Reality 2 weeks ago and they were back ordered on the product they stated it would be 3-5 days of delay. 2 days later my item shipped. Every time I order from Amazon (which has been about 10 packages in last 2 months) Not one of them ever shipped late.

The fact the website was down for as long as it was is truly unacceptable. There should be at minimum 3 sites. 1 production, 1 beta, and 1 test. Any updates the need to push need to be tested first then ran on beta. The beta should be identical to Production with the exception of who has access to it. We had people not able to access their downloads to download society scenarios.

Also Paizo Mobile is GOD AWEFUL. Anytime you click on the link it shows the dropdown then opens the link before you can select an option. Then when you click then when on the phone you click the button in the upper right to display all of the options you get really big pictures and really small text. I will state it again the menu bar is backwards. The links should be on top and then the search bar should be on the bottom.

I don't truly mind them hitting stores before I get them, but I hate when a non subscriber gets their shipping notification before I get mine as a subscriber. This happen once for sure that I know of.

Sometimes if Amazon screws up they send a second copy of the product and if you receive both you get to keep both. I have had friends have this happen.

Perhaps Paizo can do again what they did with backorders of Incident at Absalom Station, if subs are going to ship past street date. Namely, allow subscribers to purchase the pdf on street date and then get refunded when their sub ships for the cost of the pdf.

I have to agree with Zaister. This is the only time this has happened to me since I started my subscription. It is unfortunate. It is frustrating. You know who's probably even more frustrated than we are?

The staff at Paizo.

The world is not ending. We do not know the cause of the website problems. Declaring this unacceptable and ragging on the Paizo staff for something that seems to be out of their control is not going get anything out faster.

If this were a frequent occurrence, that would be a different story. Talking about the subscription being devalued right now because of one bad week is ridiculous.

Subscription Update: The instability of the website over the last two weeks of August has also affected our internal shipping system and we are just beginning to ship August subscription items. During this downtime our warehouse staff staged and prepared as many new release shipments as possible and are hard at work shipping orders as quickly as possible. I have put the end shipping estimate at Friday, September 7th and will update here if that changes.

Declaring something unacceptable is not hyperbole. It is a statement of disatisfaction and well within the rights of the customer.

Your hyperbolic response to legitimate concerns is unwelcome by me. I'd consider it a personal favor if you'd let the customer service staff handle the customer service in this customer service thread, eh? That'd be great, thanks.

Getting it early is one of the main benefits for me too. Having said that, it's worth bearing in mind that early access is not actually one of the promised perks of subscribing (though it works out that way 99% of the time).

I think it's totally reasonable to be disappointed, but I think it's worth bringing up that early access is not actually one of the things we're promised. (In my experience Convention season is the period most likely to miss the mark - though that also often correlates with big product launches, so the real cause may be somewhere else).
