Combat, then Spells, then Skills—the core engine, the mechanics, what I'll need to GM. Then maybe monsters.

Only once I really understand all that will I head over to character options.

Same. And I have a ton of free prints from college that I'm not using, either, so you can bet I'll be getting my $18 of character sheet prints.

Rituals!!! We have no idea what these will do or be like, but since they don't require a feat, it seems like any character can pick them up and it seems like it could go a long way to neutralizing the assumption that casters rule for all magical utility. I was hoping for a blog post about them, but that is starting to look unlikely.

I am not organized enough to have a plan. Probably going to be character creation, though.
Maybe...

They require skill training though so while it might not be a ritual user feat classes without religion/nature/arcana/occultisim as class signature skills will need to invest feat(s) in order to compete with spellcasters on rituals.

Yeah. I'll probably be going for whatever is shiny. But character creation is a good bet. That and weapons. For some reason I always like to look at weapons, and I'm curious if they've done some of the changes I'd like (getting rid of Composite bows and making all bows use those rules instead, one handed spears, crossbows that don't suck, and no arbitrarily exotic weapons). Oh yeah, and I'm curious how bucklers are being handled.

Me too, I feel a better look at arms and armour will give me a better feel for the whole system. I am concerned weapon properties could slow down play.
