I'd like some spells that are designed to be channeled through a weapon for Gish characters.

Perhaps a generic "Arcane Strike" spell that grants the user some extra damage dice to his attacks for one round.

Then, maybe have spells that poisons, elements, or hexes to weapon attacks.

While I like the thought, I wonder what would be more practical spells like this or a feature that allows using spells this way.

If you were allowed to make an attack roll as part of the cast, it probably wouldn't be too weak.

As far as having "spellstrike" feats that could work, but the limitations on these have been pretty bad historically, (except for 3.5's spellsword, which had zero restrictions and led to questions about what happens if I spellstrike with something like Create Undead).

More spells that use/based on/are made of force, light, positive energy, negative energy, sonic, and crystal.

Also a lot more alignment based/infused spells.

I think we can assume a spellstrike feat is going to be a given. Magi, whenever they wander into PF2, will need it to function. It may well be class restricted though, and may be limited to spells that require an attack roll.

Magic, whether as items, spells or rituals, for making life more comfortable when you are slogging through the wilderness. Tiny Hut, Heroes's Feast, Unseen Servant, Conjure Carriage etc. Because nothing says 'I am a ridiculously powerful wizard' like strolling into the BBEG's stronghold bathed, wearing clean clothes, hot croissant in hand.

It would be nice to see more spells that are useful in everyday life then just adventuring.

A hot Croissant! Are you nuts? That would be totally broken! Maybe a warm bagel, and at legendary levels.

**Sheeesh! Next thing you know, someone will want to bring back underwater basket weaving!**

A cantrip that creates a single mundane weapon and/or tool would be interesting.

I guess Since there is a domain power that creates tools for spell points, that there wont be a cantrip like that.

More specialized summoning spells. Examples would be sticking to an alignment type, creature type, grouped by deity, etc.

Spells that temporally create golems and other constructs.

Also that we get all the polymorph spells for each creature type before the end of the edition.

Personally, I'm curious if they'll play around with those, and the type/subtype templates in simplified monster creation. Starfinder's summon monster spell was an interesting way to go about it; I could definitely see polymorph working to let you take the form of that creature rather than summoning it.

I thought of something while in the blasting thread: what about a spell that lets you exploit a creature's weakness? Maybe it doesn't do much base damage, but it triggers a creature's innate weakness. Possibly several times with a critical failure on the save.

I could definitely see that as a witch cantrip, or a hex (I assume Hexes will be Witch cantrips or powers, or both).

I like the idea but sounds more like something an inquisitor would cast. Something that could be very witchy is a spell that curses enemies with weaknesses.

PF1 is down to only missing construct and aberration. Construct kind of has Possess Object, and aberration seems like the hardest one to write.

I hope the remove portection spells from being alinged. A chaotic good cleric should be able to get portection from a Promethean with out causing alingment changing issues.

On the bright side, protection spells provide an easy way for someone to control their own alignment.
