There's a Pathfinder Roleplaying Guide Supplement book from the Vampire Hunter D Kickstarter.
and a Niobe Pathfinder Paizo Roleplaying game module from the Niobe Kickstarter.
But other than that, is there other books? And is there any way to get the Vampire Hunter D book. The Kickstarter has ended, so I can't pledge for it anymore.

![]() |

Last I heard, they were still in discussions with the Vampire Hunter D owners about expanding the license for that sourcebook. As I understand it, it was published under a license for the kickstarter, which allowed for certain flexibility for stretch goals, but didn't allow for those flexible definition items to be sold for profit later.

I wonder if the books will be reviewed for PFS.
I may be misunderstanding your question, but I would have to say no; why would a book than cannot be legally purchased or obtained (anymore) be permitted in PFS? and if it were, then those lucky few who DID get the book when it was available have a distinct advantage in options that almost no one else has (comparatively).

They already do things like that with convention and auctions boons. I think one even let you take the Assasin prestige class.

This might be a good start: https://www.worldcat.org/search?q=pb%3Apaizo
Although, I couldn't find either of the items from the OP.

...are there other books that Paizo has worked on ...
A number of writers in their boiler room publish 3pp and have interesting angles on things. Many are quite good and fill in low points in the rules where the Golem had too many irons in the fire. Misfit Studios has the Bite Me! series for gaming as Lycanthropes, Rise of the Drow from AAW IS a friend's campaign and Raging Swan has a number of premade village and tables for what is found in places. None are official, but the Golem has incorporated a few over the years.

The way I broke the anti-3pp at our table was showing up with non-CORE books by the writers of the CORE books we were using (3.0). Kind of took the wind out of some sails.
Pick a book that can really move your game to a higher level to introduce the others. There are several nice Monster books that are easy to add. Others introduce feats missing from CORE.
Your biggest problem will be finding early material, as the Golem is trying to sell everything in the warehouse. Some are already long gone, but might be found on ebay.

Ardencroft |

I can't see why it would matter who wrote the 3pp material, Bwang.
The problem myself and most other DM's have with 3pp is that it isn't balanced by Paizo. If something is broken or not working as intended, we have an FAQ or errata to guide us, and the company is very good about trying to preserve a healthy balance while still providing fun options to the players.
They don't errata 3pp material - and some of it is truly egregious - and so allowing it at the table creates additional work for DMs who already put a lot of work in.
The easiest answer for most DM's is just to say, "no 3pp, there's plenty of variety and room for unique characters already."

Alzrius |
I believe that once each of these are released, they will be available on paizo.com in limited quantities. (We're not talking "will sell out in an hour" numbers, but they probably won't last forever.)
Just to be absolutely clear, you mean dead-tree versions, right? PDFs are nice, but I'd love it if there were print copies of those books available.
Also, I thought the Vampire Hunter D book had been released to backers already?

Still shocks me people don't think of Pathfinder as 3pp content when it definitely is.

The idea that "Paizo's material goes through rigorous playtesting to ensure that everything is balanced, whereas (most) third-party material is barely edited at all" is one that seems to be fairly widespread, though usually as more of a vague idea than something concretely professed.

a lot of the crunch has since been reprinted. This includes thing like riffle scrolls from KQ14 and at least some of the monsters from KQ7. Someone with all of the issues at hand could tell you more definitively.

I am actually disturbed by how shockingly high-handed and condescending this post is.
And how thoroughly unhelpful.
Just rude. Pack it in.

I think they were kickstarter 'exclusives'. A term I despise and honestly believe is a terrible business practice. generally, the second an actual product becomes a kickstarter exclusive, is generally when I see my way out of that particular project page (there have been a very few exceptions).
There's actually a fair number of products from various companies that, for legal reasons, can only appear in Kickstarter stretch goals or similar reward venues because they can be distributed as part of the event but not sold for profit. This usually happens because of specific limitations to the license under which the product is being produced. The peculiarities of fundraising platforms occasionally allow things to happen that sometimes just can't happen otherwise. It's not necessarily about publisher-enforced exclusivity; the fundraiser may be the only way the product could ever exist in the first place.
Edit (Just noticed this thread was a pretty old necro, but leaving the post for anyone who may not have been aware.)

Well, I necro-ed it already so its okay. Didn't want to make a new thread since I'd have to repost all the same content.
Though I was under the belief that Paizo was working towards getting these Kickstarter rewards to be purchasable on their official website for some time.

I could be wrong but if it's the one for the Kingmaker CRPG, I think that there's a purchasable Music OST and Art-Book Extras DLC that also contains the module pdf?
Something new...
Would the Heroes of Highdelve(?) from an earlier Gencon count as another unlisted PF book?

So, I need a Steam account or something like that to get it? Hmm, I just checked and the Royal Ascencion DLC is £10.29
I already have the PS4 Definitive Edition of the game. That claims to have all of the DLCs on there, but I don't see how it provides access to the OST, art books or module.

Heh, there is that; thank you, LairdIceCubez- I stands corrected. :)
PS. Too bad that there's no pdf version available though. :(

There's also GoG, where I have the game and DLC at, and the HumbleBundle store, which usually uses Steam anyways.
Honestly not sure how it works with a PS4 either; mebbe it can be read as an omake on some computer if it's a readable disc?

Yeah, GoG is less invasive - you need an account, but then you can download the content and use it as you like. By now they have a browser-like tool for managing your games and automatic updates, but it's up to you whether you want to use it.
Steam enforces using their software - which has its benefits (like a huuuge shop for games as well as chatting), but can be a nuisance at times.

The guys behind the Vampire Hunter D Kickstarter got back to me that they would like to port their content to 2e in 2021. So I'm hoping that happens.
Niobe hasn't gotten back to me about it yet.
Kingmaker is already being ported so I got no worries there. Though I don't know if what they're bringing over include The Puzzle Box Module.

I got the Puzzle Box Module PDF through Steam. It wasn't out yet when I bought my copy of the Kingmaker cRPG, but was listed as part of the tier that I bought, so when it came out it was added to the game resources and auto-downloaded. (I bought the Royal Edition tier, which Steam no longer offers, but the Royal Ascension DLC includes all the extras from that edition. I bought the Royal Edition and the Season Pass separately because it was a little cheaper at the time than buying the Imperial Edition, which was the same as the Royal Edition plus the season pass.)
I've wondered how people with console "definitive" versions were supposed to get the out-of-game extras. I guess they don't? I'm guessing it doesn't have PC extras on it. If it were a CD- or DVD-based game, that might be a thing, but I don't think they expect people to have Blu-Ray drives on PC. (Most people may not even have disc drives of any kind anymore.)
Anyway, the Puzzle Box has a couple new creatures, which is what I look for first in a new module. It includes a toy soldier swarm. I frequently reference AONprd.com so I would like it if they'd add Puzzle Box to AONprd.

The Nethys guys said they won't add any Kickstarter material unless Paizo requests them to.
It's why the Niobe and Vampire Hunter D material hasn't been added. In fact, the Worldscape One-Shots haven't been added either, on purpose.
So unless a Paizo staff requests it to be added, it won't be.
But that's why I'm maintaining this thread, to track any content that won't be added. Like an Archives of Zon-Kuthon or something.

Just to be absolutely clear, The Puzzle Box adventure is a PDF-only product (i.e. no print version has been made) that can only be acquired as an extra if you buy a copy of the Kingmaker video game?

To be more specific, you have to buy the PC version of the game. It doesn't come with the console versions.
