The Decemvirate.

Unless they already have...

Little surprised no one is saying Xin. No Xin, no specialized wizards, no Runelords.

I think this thread is the reason Nex is missing . . .

Theory: Someone already offed Aroden and the current Golarion is the result.

Most all of them...

(But yes!)

One has to wonder what certain important figures in line for the Padishah Emperor, alone...

I actually thought of that, but refrained because of this: how much of Golarion did they really impact?

I mean, Varisia, yeah, but, during their tenure, they mostly just stayed in Varisia and dealt with that region, and then were sealed away.

That said, I was wrong in one notable way: if you got rid of Xin, and thus the Runelords, you'd also may have gotten rid of an extremely prominent historical figure: Tar-Baphon. It's noted that Tar's rise was precipitated at least in part with his unknown relationship with the Cenotaph created by Zutha, (one of the?) Runelord(s?) of Gluttony/Necromancy.

Even if you don't get rid of Tar, it seems clear that you may well have weakened him, as Tar, being mythic, almost certainly used the Cenotaph (a location of mythic power) in his collection of personal mythic trials and power.

Abrogail Thrune I.

It's important to remember that when the Thrunes signed a pact with Hell, they were LOOSING the Civil War for Cheliax. The Faithless and Forgotten PFS scenarios go into their primary opposition's backstory a little bit, but it seems pretty safe to say that there would be a lot more Paladins in Cheliax if Thrune was killed off before (or shortly after) she signed the Thrice-Damned Pact.

???

(This lacks the "why" part.)

Whoever it was who misinterpreted the will of Sarenrae and decided it was a great idea to build the settlement that would one day become Gormuz.

No Gormuz, no Pit. No Pit, no Spawn. No Spawn, Katapesh, Nex, and Osirion aren't deserts, Ninshabur is still standing, Kho is still flying.
