Long-running Carrion Crown game in need of GM again

Recruitment

Hello, Boards!

Anna Dunsany here. I'm one of the adventurers on an epic quest to stop some evil necromancers from... doing something bad. I'm still not sure what their endgame is. They've already kidnapped a ghost from a prison, framed an innocent beast, and stirred up a bunch of werewolves in a creepy forest.

But just as we're about to take the fight to these guys and maybe get some real answers, things stalled. It's like we're all in some sort of weird limbo, and nothing's happening. But my friends and I, we're determined. We're dedicated to seeing this thing through to the end.

Yeah, we've been at it for a while. Four-and-a-half years, by my count, although I could swear it's actually been a few months. Time gets weird, sometimes. And yeah, there's been a different voice that's been narrating what I'm seeing from before. But that's not a bad thing, is it? I think that means we're a great bunch of heroes that would welcome someone else to pull us out of this limbo and get things moving again.

Check us out. My friends and I would love to help catch up anyone willing to take on this task. Ease the transition, as it were. I can understand 7,700+ posts being a lot to read through, but we can show you the highlights, the key scenes and the little moments that make our story something truly special.

So, is there anyone out there willing to pick up our story from where our last narrator left us off?

Thanks!

Four and a half years and close to 8000 posts... That's a lot to go through to be up to date.

I see that you guys are level 8, so I think that put you near the end of book 3. I must admit it's tempting to help get to the finish line. However, I must admit I don't know much about roll20, which you guys seem to be using. It's something to think about.

We only used Roll20 briefly with our last GM, so we're actually hadn't used it much. So no worries if you'd want to drop that.

Party wizard here. First Yes, we are certainly in last half of book 3. Seems like we are just getting started on a series of big fights there though, so we will be at it for a while. Second roll20 is ok for maps but its not my first choice either. Too much overhead for what you get if you are using it just for maps I think. So please do not be put off by that. We would be fine and would likely prefer whatever mapping choice you might make.

We have a new Paly in the group (He is a good friend and I can vouch for his role playing ability and dedicatoon to posting regularly too.). The rest of us have been with the game from the start (or very near the start in one case). When the game is up and running we are all regular posters and decent role players. We have had a great time so far and hate to see that stop. So if you want to try your hand at medium level game that already has a loyal set of regular posting players please give us a look.

I'm going through the book and the thread to see what was done and get a feel of the game. That involves a lot of reading. Not really a problem, but I might need the time. If you guys are willing to have me as GM and to wait until at least Monday to restart this, I'd be willing to take on the challenge.

I know about Tolvan RP quality of posting, I just got in a game with you and I've been following The Walking Dead of Golarion, by GM Fiendish for a while now. So on that side, I'm not worried.

If, like you say, no one mind dropping the roll20 for maps, that's even better for me. I will need to get a general idea of where you are at in the battle, so please make sure you have your sheets up to date.

Let me know what you think.

We have been waiting for a while Rannik so Monday is not at all an issue. Glad you are considering. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Hi. I like any map tool as long as I can see it.

BTW I am the local healer in the group. and the one that tends to freak out Anna with my haunted curse.

I know I'm up to date on my character sheet. And I don't mind losing Roll20 at all.

I'm the rogue, having been converted to the Unchained version about a year ago.

And yeah, thanks for that, Kimberly. I'm the snarky, pragmatic scoundrel who isn't afraid to show that she's really scared. If it hasn't been for her friendships with the other party members, she'd have hightailed it out of Ustalav long ago. :)

I'm interested, but late. Let me know if anything else goes screwy. :)

Will do! Thanks for stopping in and showing interest, but yeah, we've picked up a new GM. Thanks!

Hey Ace.... hows our favorite kitty? Tikkle

Hey Ed! I'm well and have returned, a prodigal poster. Haven't played much since Cadranite, and thinking about starting back here again. Hope you've been well too!

And anyone can feel free to message me if you have need of a GM or player in the future. :)

Rannik - I have been running Carrion Crown here for over 3 years and we are 12k posts in and just starting Book 6.

So I have plenty of resources/ideas if it helps you pick up the baton?

As a side note, I am playing in Fiendish's Walking Dead game and have always found Skorn to be a great roleplayer and regular poster. I'm sure the other guys at this table are just as good so I think you will be inheriting a great game :)

Good luck to you all!
