Stunning Fist vs a Hydra

So Hydras have many heads. Someone uses stunning fist on one. How would that work out, anyone know?

Stunning Fist per se doesen't necessarily aim at the opponent's head, and the Hydra doesen't have any special protection from the stunned condition, so it would be affected like any other creature.

The whole creature is stunned.

That sounds so hilariously broken lol

...That an ability works as intended on a creature that already has a high Fort save vs a pitifully low DC?

Yeah, super broken.

Broken in a fun way. It just in my head sounds supply that a 12 headed hydra gets stunned by a single stunning fist.

You can stun someone without hitting them in the head.

Have you ever "had the wind knocked out of you"? A strong enough hit to the solar plexus -- basically, the diaphragm -- causes a muscle spasm that keeps you from breathing, and the sheer shock can cause effective disorientation to the point of paralysis. (It's not pleasant.)

A hydra can have as many heads as you like, but it only has one set of lungs, and one diaphragm.

As stated, stunning fist will work just fine on the hydra. It has no special ability that says otherwise. Similarly, a single blindness/deafness spell will remove sight or hearing from the hydra, regardless of how many eyes, ears, or heads it has.
