Reason I Traveled to Kenabres:

Losvarlinth traveled to Kenabres with an Oracle of Sarenrae while converting to the new faith. Once they arrived in the city, the Oracle brought her to the temple of Sarenrae, presented her with a scimitar, and asked her to wait in the temple for three days before venturing out into the city.

Having found this thread after finding the IC recruitment thread, I can say I'm definitely interested. However, it also occurs to me that there's a lot of history here and players already integrating backstories with one another.

That being said is it alright if I create a character for this?


Popping in with Azura Celestine, aasimar bard (arcane healer). Note: This character is a mystery cultist of Arshea, and thus may explore certain mature themes. I've spoilered anything that could be an issue.

Azura is a very compassionate, generally happy and congenial person. She wants to spread kindness, love, etc. While some people would see this as a "dreamy idealist," she understands the practical limits of this approach - she doesn't think that you should offer a flower to an aboleth, for instance. She does believe that nonviolence is a preferable approach to mediating conflicts between intelligent creatures.

Azura's mother was a priestess and her father a half-celestial divine herald, so she has long been steeped in divine traditions and religious reverence for joy. Her own talents bend arcane, so she spreads music and wellbeing with her powers.

Her goal in dealing with the new Crusade is to help the crusaders to survive the inevitable injuries that they will sustain, and to remind people that dealing with the Worldwound is probably going to involve more than just slashing up a bunch of demons.

Her Loyalties are:
Compassion: Azura believes in showing compassion to living, suffering beings. She treats everyone she meets like a potential friend. She believes that friendship and love are not selfish, they are opportunities to show how much you will give to others. She tries to resolve conflicts diplomatically first, with weapons last.
Care for the Wounded: In spite of being an arcanist, Azura focuses much of her skill on healing. She sees the battle against the Worldwound as a much larger scale conflict in the same vein as a physician trying to heal an injury in a patient. To that end she focuses on healing hurts both physical and mental, great and small, because healing individuals inevitably leads to healing groups, nations...
Art and Music: Azura feels that art and music are important ways to communicate emotionally, to show one's personal preferences and views, and to celebrate the diversity of life. She feels that existence without art and music is sterile and stunted, and she encourages the growth of art and music among individuals and cultures alike.


I'd love to be part of this campaign. I'm thinking a vanilla halfling bard. I've never played a bard before other than a 1 night filler campaign a few weeks back. Fun fun fun.
