The man looks bewildered and grabs his ears as Rhanloi mimes making terrible noises. The house remains silent, though, no sound comes from Rhanloi mouth. There is but the sound of a slashing scimitar, cutting through cloak an flesh alike, and an ever louder sound from the street. What sounded like footsteps at first, now sounds like a hurried mob!

Cressyk gives the man a solid knock on the head. He is out good.
The front door suddenly swings open, and in the doorway the intimidating figure of Ekira Hah! Caught red-handed! Another murder case! Drop you weapons immediately. Tobias, arrest these villains! This corpse is evidence enough!
Ekira is backed up by a somewhat hesitating Tobias, and a small mob of villagers. Tobias Luin takes a moment, then has a look at the 'corpse', saying I don't think he is dead. Unconscious, yes, but definitely alive. What is going on here?

Marra wipes the blood off her scimitar and sheath it before stepping forward still bearing the fresh wound from the man's sword.
The small halfling gives a sweet smile as she begins spinning all the pieces into a logical story, "As sheriff Tobias said there is no murder here, as much as it may disappoint Ekira's vigilantly style of hang them first what ever the truth. We came here out of concern for the trapped soul within this house that sent us this letter. The very same handwriting as another received informing the pathfinders of the charges against one of their own." Marra has the group show the letter to the sheriff.
Continuing, "While here we where attacked without warning by the tall man, the very same one that stole Aetherys' Dawn Blade and murdered those poor souls in town. You have Dawn Blade's word on that."
"Also, Orug's claims to have seen a tall dark man running off after the first murders."
"Otto can confirm that we visited his farm to view the murder site there. While at the murder site, we discovered an unusual Obsidian button. It most likely was lost during the attack there. It could have come from the victim's attacker. Who do you know that wears Obsidian buttons? Marra turns the tall man over to see what his buttons look like.
"Finally I would say that, while we still don't know why the murders have occurred, there is more than enough evidence to show that the tall dark man here is responsible for the latest deaths, he also attempted to kill us. It is clear that despite having the accused pathfinders locked up the killing continued indicating that they are most likely not guilty. In addition, you have the eye witness account of Orug's about the tall dark man. I urge you to take this tall man into custody and release the pathfinders!"
Having done her best, Marra waits to see what the sheriff decides.
Tpbias Luin looks convinced, and supports Marra claim that the handwriting is, indeed, the same Your are right, the writing on these letters is indeed identical, and there seems to be nobody in this house. While I still don't trust that sword, I do trust Orug, and I've heard his stories.
The obsidian button turns out to be the writing on the wall for unconscious man. Yes, I've seen him wear those clothes, and I wondered why a button was missing. the sheriff says.
I'm convinced of that we are looking at the true murderer here. Ekira do you concur?
Ekira looks as if her worlds has been shaken on her foundations I, I don't believe it!
Tobias Luin looks back at Ekira and says but you must, the evidence is all here. This man, he fits the description of Orug. We have an eye witness, and the story adds up, you must see that.
Ekira finally gives in I was wrong then. How could I have been wrong? He face turns a bit gruffer very well then, I shall take this man to the stockade, and release the other prisoners.
The crowd disperses and the unconscious Krunne is dragged to the prison. Ekira then personally releases the pathfinders and, as the magnitude of her mistake starts to dawn on her, personally accompanies them to the star rise spire. She formally apologizes for her actions and offers to assist the Pathfinder Society in the future as a means of atoning.
