Planescape had some cool stuff in it. Sort of like Spelljammer without the clown shoes.

Spelljammer in its original form had a lot of clown shoe-yness to it. It never truly took itself seriously. The Giff were one of the most one-note races ever made. And the whole running hamster gag ... Well

However, if you stripped those things out there was a lot of interesting stuff in the setting. I liked the Unhuman War concept, and we get to see elves as more of an arrogant superior race rather than shy tree huggers. The Scro were an interesting concept as well, orcs bred to be superior to elves by using their culture against them.

The second part of the post saves the first.

To celebrate Starfinder (more or less) I turned one of my star-travelling races into an undead: Darklight Remnants.

In space, no one can hear you scream

So looking forward to a entire day off

It's getting bad when 16 hours doesn't even faze me

I will be happy to be done with this next hour and a half.

I've decided that Labatt Extra Light Lager is basically just mildly alcoholic seltzer water. It's not "bad," per se, it's just not "beer" either.

Have you had Old Milwaukee, it tastes like seltzer piss.

While YouTube's automated closed captioning has improved vastly from its inception, it still can't seem to get a handle on British accents.

Take for example, the Gladys, a Salt Lake weather door:

"This is a soul out. When people use the word Gladys, today Germany specifically this kind of weather. The door was also used by a Roman legionary and of described as a short sore. Yes, shorter local source for is quite the Salt Lake, this is not a dagger. On Iraq hole-in-one at does not have the feel of a dagger, this is a sort."

"I would say that far more people have been killed by spears" becomes "I would say that 50 people have been killed by 6p."

Ah Upstate New York. Home of the low-tier beers

Although I shouldn't snark. I grew up right next to a Carling Black Label factory.

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!!

It's Memorial Day for us Americans, so take a moment to remember those who have fallen in the nation's service. They were called, they went, and they paid the ultimate price. Rest in peace, brothers. May we one day get to the point where we will not have to call you to foreign shores to fight.

It is also that rare unicorn of a day for me. A day where I am not working at any of my three jobs (Although I will be working two tomorrow). It looks as if I will be doing chores inside for the nonce, as the weather is decidedly dicey.

Plus gaming. My PbPs are sadly neglected.

And Game of Thrones. Can't forget GoT

Initial estimated time of my friends leaving: Thursday or Friday. Back to living alone. Quiet, freedom, being able to walk around house without putting pants on...

useless side information: the german name for pink eye is: Bindehautentzündung

I meant to mention for non-native English speakers: the medical term is conjunctivitis. Pink eye is just the common name for it. You know Anglophone doctors have to give every ailment a fancy Latinate name.

I thought I had pink eye once.

I was mistaken (Actually my parents were. I was in like, 3rd grade) ;P

It was poison ivy. In my eye.

I would much rather it had been pink eye.

:P

Get better quick! :)

On the OTHER hand,...

If the monkey starts up a Spelljammer(type) game, I'm fireballing ALL ya all for a spot in it! ;)

I still love this song after all these years.

Let's see if I can get my current three moving first. I've been working towards that goal, and if I can pull it off I WILL start that game. My setting won't rest easy in my imagination

I need several benchmarks:

1. A better overall grasp of pathfinder
2. The mental fortitude to post up regularly
3. The proper online tools and the skills to use them
4. Time.

Silver Crusade

There is nothing like pink eye to make one feel like a leper. (Well... Actual leprosy, I suppose...)

I just get asked not to show up at things. Two people (that I know of) ran to a bathroom and scrubbed their exposed skin after casually interacting with me.

On the one hand, it is all just too ridiculous. But on the other hand, if anyone I have interacted with develops pink eye I will feel terrible.

Silver Crusade

Since I've been limiting my human interaction though, my dwarven inquisitor is kicking butt in Dragon Age, and I've been able to update my PbPs (including statting up the next villain for the Ravenloft campaign).
