Oh lovely, my employer's parent company has gone into reconstruction. (And the first I hear of it is a news-notice on telly-text!!)
That doesn't sound good. Is that like debt restructuring or a bailout?

Debt restructuring, I'd say. My wage is guaranteed by the state, and the company line is, "it's old debt, once we're rid of it things'll be fine," but I'm going to start to look for somewhere to jump before I get pushed.

That's usually wise.

DIP:
Worst case is a fused DIP joint and pain when using it. Realize, this is only the DIP joint (end one), not the middle or hand/finger joints. It could be worse. Who knows? Maybe the joint will re-form once the distal bone is screwed together and heals. Total worst case, I give up flute and switch back to bagpipes.

I totally need to visit with Treppa while I'm in Colorado this July.

I think we need Robert Downey Jr to drop off a new robot hand for Treppa.

When will you be here? I'll be visiting my mom the first two weeks.

21st onwards. Attending a wedding. We'll be flying out to GenCon afterwards, but I'm pretty sure we can swing by for a day.

And I hope everyone's wearing their sprig of lilac today, as we honour the fallen of the shortlived Republic of Treacle Mine Road.

Swift healing and positive outcomes, Treppa!

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!

Another lovely day! I'm tasked with driving again. I managed to do it yesterday without catching the bus on fire or mangling any children, so I'll call that a win.

It is a stressful job though. I hope the stress will lessen once the routine becomes more familiar

Better Robert Downey Jr. than Dr. Krieger from Archer...

How are the kids? I imagine a bus full of schoolchildren to resemble a horde of rampaging gremlins.

At least until they wise up and outfit school buses with cages, so each child can be in their own kennel.

Why are you all looking at me that way?

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!!

Another lovely morning. This morning starts a marathon of working that will basically go into Friday afternoon. Proceeds to benefit the 'Monkey goes to GenCon ' fund

First, my last bus run of the week, followed by landscaping , a double shift at the hospital, and more landscaping.

Thanks to my Zen brain hacking, I feel fantastic. It's amazing how much dread you can carve out of your life by concious volition

Breathe in
Out

Slow
Calm
Ease
Smile

I've got this.

Yes, but you are a robot.

So, Friday morning landscaping is cancelled. I can't really say I am disappointed. It was a long stretch. I still have my 16-hour security shift to do
