Grey,
Just curious, but was that grow out of it an intentional pun or just first thing you wrote?
And yes that issue of Wonder Woman WAS pretty awesome. :)
since I'm not sure what you are refering to I'm going to say total accident
Edit: and now I reread my post and it just kind of jumps out at me. Yep total accident

Wait, Grey, I knew the God of Twisted Love due to the fact that's what the WW annual was....
But how did you figure out the other ones?!!
Newsarama previewed a few pages from the next issue. Picks up with Jason like 2 seconds after the Zamorans grabbed Diana. He uses Athena's wisdom to get the information on them
have to say the God of Mob Rule and Riots is something that I am tempted to include in a Pathfinder campaign

Superman; Man of Steel
Ok things are starting to make sense.
Thomas Seitz
So not only did Man of Steel FURTHER confuse the issue, it didn't even resolve what happened!
Flash War at least makes more sense even if it's made Wally stupid...but at the same time he was trying to get his kids. Zoom got an upgrade!
Honestly that's all I got since DC has been rolling down hill since No Justice.

In someways what is happening in Flash with Zoom could actually connect with the earlier Wally family stuff, when his kids had non-speed powers. Jai had Super strength which kind of meshes with the idea of a Strength Force.

Ok so
Jon and Lois are touring the Universe with Grandpa Jor while Clarks stays on Earth to "put out fires while dressed in his baby cloths"
Jor-el clearly not thrilled with some of his son's life choices
Also Lois is going to be wearing Superman's armored suit which is why he's back in the turnks.
You know it's actually ok with me that Jon would take recent events in Teen Titans kind of hard. He's a kid things like that hurt kids. Plus the added pressure of "alternate future me, killed a ton of people by accident"
Over all not too bad start for Bendis.

So really I keep wondering at what point will we get more on what it is these supposedly old/new forces might be...
well so far we have
Anti-lantern forceAnti-Flash force
and a mystery base with ancient Amazon and Atlantian stuff plus Neanderthal White Martians in it.
oh and a sentient evil Galaxy
Greylurker
you know.....If the regular people knew the things the DC heroes know (or even the Marvel heroes in their universe) They would freak right the hell out.
I mean seriously - Sentient Evil Galaxy
That is nuts
A cosmic wall around the universe made up of dead gods, oh and it's broken so now the multiverse is dying
I am really tempted to start picking up Suicide Squad just to see scenes of Waller going through the info in Brainiac's Database and going "wtf?"

About time someone gave Flash a good stern talking to
Greylurker
I always wondered why nobody just shoots The Doctor as he walks around saying how great he is and everyone should run away.
Doc:Now all of you are just going to..
Boss Nasty:OPEN FIRE!!!!!
Goons:DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA!
usually because he's already disabled their guns
Guns are generally useless is a pretty common theme in a lot of Dr. Who

I've always felt that the Source Wall should either be around the center of the universe, or a more metaphysical barrier preventing people from going back through time far enough to see the beginning of time.
A wall at the "end" of an infinite, ever expanding, space? How would you ever get there?

jemstone wrote:A wall at the "end" of an infinite, ever expanding, space? How would you ever get there? The DC cosmos need not work like ours does. Maybe the DC Multiverse has a fixed size.
Or it's actually expanding like ours, but the Source Wall limits access to only a part of it.
More likely, the Source Wall is more of a metaphysical concept made solid than an actual barrier in physical space.
Greylurker
You know I'm not even sure where the source wall is....Oa is suppossed to be at the center of things
I think it's some kind of multiverseal constant thing. kind of like New Genesis and Apocalypse. A Singular existance that is present in all multiverses.
And there is an edge to the DC Universe because the God Wave bounced off it way back when.....ok that was before the reboot so maybe it's not the case anymore
Greylurker
I think the Godwave is a thing, Grey...just not in post Flashpoint DC Comics. Maybe.
Also as to WHY there's a wall and how it works? I dunno. Unlike the Multiverse of Marvel, DC's has always struck me as kind of...weird.
Especially after Hypertime...
well...apparently the Wall keeps the multiverse alive, cause now that there is a hole in it the multiverse is dying.
Here is a wall made out of Gods, and it keeps the multiverse from bleeding to death.
...
..
.
It's a bandaid, a giant cosmic bandaid

It's been stated many times in the DCU that the universe is expanding, so... I dunno?
The really weird one for me is that there are civilizations out there that are older than the Earth, which is (in canon as well as in reality) roughly 4.5 billion years old.
This is not really strange. The Guardians, for example.
BUT.
How is it possible for there to be aliens and world-life older than the Earth, if the Life Entity made Earth the "source of all life"?
There was no life in the DCU until the Life Entity's energy created life on Earth.
But there was life in the DCU before the Earth was formed.
This flowchart is circular, and makes no sense.

Almost caught up on my reading.
About the non-wedding.
I knew it wouldn't happen.
No way was DC going to give us what we wanted.
No way were they going to allow him to be less grim.
The only questions I have are: How did Holly get out of the city that no one is allowed to enter or leave? When did she get put into Arkham?
jemstone
I think it's more like the Life entity made Earth to bed down after running around doing stuff. Then because it was sleeping there all kinds of nuttiness happened on Earth
If only.
"All life in the universe began on Earth!" <- actual quote, from Green Lantern/Former White Lantern, Kyle Rayner, as he discovered the secret of the Life Entity.
jemstone
I mean, I get that it's a comic book and it doesn't have to make complete scientific sense, but there are times that I would like it to at least be internally consistent.
And I'd also like Geoff Johns to stop referring to Willpower as an emotion. The ability to overcome great Fear isn't Willpower. All the various lanterns use their Willpower to command their rings, no matter where they are on the spectrum. Willpower might allow the Lantern to command the ring, but it's not an emotion. And it isn't what lets you overcome Fear.
Courage.
The word he's looking for is Courage.
jemstone
I guess I'm just still kind of salty about them de-aging Hal and making him the crux of all Lantern importance since New52.
Green Lantern is a job. There are lots of great Human Lanterns. Let them shine once in a while.
See also, why I have Green Lanterns, and not the other GL books, on my pull-list.
