How to make John Cena a god

Advice

I give all my players a single "Awesome Point" to use over the course of a campaign. They can use it for anything, though I, of course, have veto power. It's meant to let them do one incredibly awesome thing whenever they choose. Well, one guy decided to use it to make John Cena into a god, and, since it doesn't break the campaign, I said, "Okay."

So, we have a new god of wrestling in the world, a new champion of the starstone. The first thing I wanted to do was get his domains, but I realized that beyond strength, glory, and maybe chaos or war, I had no idea which domains to grant him. I'm looking at Nobility (Leadership) and maybe Protection. I'll probably want the Fist subdomain of Strength, too. I haven't watched wrestling in years and can't remember much about John Cena's character, so it's hard to pick things. His alignment would determine a few things, and, while I figure he's Chaotic, I'm not sure if he's CG or CN. I lean toward CN because I know how fickle wrestling storylines can be, but what do you guys think?

If anyone has ideas for a deity spell or an obedience, throw 'em out there. Thoughts on boons would be great, too. I'm thinking his divine servants will include Khali the Storm Giant and a halfling fighter named Rey Mysterio.

What do you guys think?

You could have a whole pantheon.

Andre, God of Giants
Roddy, God of Pipers and Rowdiness
Rick, God of Rudeness and Ravishing
Adrian, God of Exotica
Hulk, God of Mania
Hillbilly, God of Jimness
Sheikh, God of Iron and Guardian of the Desert
Flair, God of Nature and Boyhood
McMahon, Evil God of the Underworld and Dark Schemes
Ricky, God of the River and Steamboats
.
You can tell my knowledge of wrestling dates to the 80's.

Hmmm you could have mysterious outsiders "Unsanctioned Foreign Objects" in the game.

And Steroids, the food of the gods.
.
Sorry if that was of no help..

John Cena isn't terribly Chaotic; he's generally in favor of fair play and supports legitimate authority. He hasn't turned heel in over a decade, and despite being taunted by the crowd with "John Cena Sucks" chants, he remains positive, accepting that not everyone will support him, and the fans have a right to cheer whoever they want. He's a hero to children, has done more Make a Wish visits than any celebrity every (no, really), and is out in front of any charity stuff WWE gets involved with. He can be pushed into bending the rules, but I'd say he's more of a Neutral Good deity, and I could see justifying Lawful Good if only so that he could support an order of Paladins (which seems just about perfect for him).

As for domains, I'd say Strength, Community, and Nobility match up with his "Hustle, Loyalty, Respect" mantra, and I'd add in Good to round it all out. His followers will already have access to the subdomains of each, so they can take the Fist subdomain if you like.

His clerics should all wear brightly-colored armbands and wristbands, and their prayers always begin with a familiar hand gesture. He is known as the Invisible God, for sinners cannot see him.

I'm not gonna put together a whole pantheon, but I'm definitely using these two things. That said, I think my players might face an Andre the Giant thanks to you. And a reincarnated Hulk Hogan is already a guest PC.

Kurgess could be a decent reference

Man, thank you so much. This is the stuff I'm looking for. I'm probably going to use all of this. I'll keep Glory in his domain list since that's what wrestling's all about. I hear he raps, too. Should rhythm be in his portfolio? Should rappers be among his followers?

Oh, not bad. Thanks. I can definitely alter that feat and those traits.

All of a sudden I want to do a game where the gods are based off of famous wrestlers and see how long it takes the players to figure it out.

Their infighting would be world-shaking. The society of the world would clearly be martial in nature, with an emphasis on unarmed combat (weapons would be considered unsporting). Their legal system would be entirely based on trial by unarmed combat.

This could be fun.

John Cena? Well... Teaching him how to actually wrestle and perform would be a good start. :P

I'm having too much fun thinking about this.

Undertaker would of course be the God of Death and Time. His brother (Yeah, I know, I know) Kane would be a former Evil God of Destruction, turned neutral.

Brock Lesnar would be the Evil God of slaughter, rage, and domination.

Triple H would be the Lawful Evil Tyrant god, with the hammer as his favoured weapon, and water as one of his domains, of course.

Classic Steve Austin would be the Chaotic Good God of freedom, liberty, and stompin' a mudhole in your ass.

Eddie Guerrero (RIP) would be the Chaotic Good god of tricksters.

Hm. Would Cena bestow on his clerics Improved Grapple, Improved Unarmed Strike, or Catch Off-Guard / Improvised Weapon Mastery?

Edit: This is regarding favoured weapon.

I would think unarmed strike would have to be his favored weapon. And, in the same vein as the inner sea gods, he could grant his clerics, oracles, and paladins mirror image and possibly invisibility, so their opponents can't see them

Yeah, I was thinking unarmed strike for favored weapon. That or improvised weapons. Since granting proficiency with a normal weapon is basically granting a feat (Martial/Exotic Weapon Proficiency), he could easily grant Improved Unarmed Strike instead, or maybe Catch Off Guard.

Unfortunately, he is currently being occupied by being the prominent leader of the City of Sue-plecks. Destroyed the Shrine of the Phenom, but it's followers keep rising up to deal blows to the undercity. Just recently abolished the Temple of Largest Athletes and is poised to cage up the Halls of the Architect.
