{hugs} Sorry. I'm snarky by nature, and I snark about many items that I like and upvote. I'm sure part of it is my tiredness, and part of it is likely the uncertain fate of my own item niggling at me.

Another newcomer here, super impressed by how awesome this community is and how useful this list is. You guys rock!

Also, if KC is busy voting and posting here, he isn't getting innocent threads elsewhere locked.
I already got one locked here. Now to make my "Rag on Items By Name!" thread!

I have now personally seen over 600 unique items! :D
Seems my item did not make it :-/
I will wait for a day to be sure of it before mourning ;-)
Best of luck to those who are still in the race.

I'm surprised mine made it through, but happy at the same time. Perhaps people found they liked it? Though I still think half the things in the snark thread are bashing it. Just like 99% of my rivals no doubt.

Just added a new item. All hope is not gone :-)

"I survived Paizo Superstar Season 9's first cull!"
I think I'll make a T-Shirt saying that.

My item's survived the first cull! It won't survive the second most likely, but at least I didn't make the most basic possible mistakes. Next year, I'll do even better and survive the second cull too.
Spotted another survivor.
Lunchtime - eep, so many posts to catch up on...
Huh, a cull - sinking feeling -
First port of call - THE list.
Sinking feeling gone. ;)
Ohhh - Star Voter, go me!

Thanks for the support and hugs :)
I've seen my item twice in a short time period now. Does it mean that it's receiving less votes post-cull? Or it's completely random as long as a single viewer is concerned?

Because I am just happy I survived the first cull, I am going to say that it is probably completely random.
And Just added an item for surviving. Good job item, hang in there everyone!

My item recently appeared on the list. I may yet recover from the Snark's influence :-P
Per the collective eyes of the forum, 100% of Shields and Wondrous (Belt, Body, Chest, Feet) items survived the first cull!
Do we know the overall survival rate ? This could help us guess when the next cull will happen ;-)
The black raven wrote: Do we know the overall survival rate ? This could help us guess when the next cull will happen ;-) I put some simple count formulas in the spreadsheet yesterday - eventually the number of items found post cull will level off, and we can just do a simple percentage. I am interested to see how many got lopped off with the first cull.
Survival rate for first cull is distorted by all of the DQ's (which are really separate from the cull.) We are down about 20-25% of the items in total. The cull may have been 10% of that.
I think we need to consider the whole DQ+Cull percentage, as this was the target number the host likely aimed for. And I believe the number of votes was sufficiently high that we can rely on the time needed for the first cull to extrapolate the time needed for the second cull.
We started from 700 items, we are now around 550 items post-cull and I believe we will finish a bit over 100 at the end of the voting. Not sure how it translates in the time required for the next cull though.

I think they have to leave enough items up that the people who are left can't reliably vote for their own items. So 100 would be too low, I would think.
Still more items checked off as surviving the cull. Keep the faith if you haven't seen your item post-cull.
According to someone putting an X on the spreadsheet, I survived the cull!
We can only confirm what has been seen post-cull, everything else is just missing in action.

I submitted an item and it has not yet been axed. Woo!
I submitted 30 items for DQ before the first cull and have found 26 more since then.
Feel free to message me to see if you did not make the cull and I can let you know if you were on my DQ list and why.
My item was not sacked! *Do the happy dance*
One more that survived. Getting few and far between now.

I just ran a couple of models, and I believe the final cuts will get us down to between 200 and 300 items. My gut tells me it will be right in the middle of that range around 250.
What are the yellow highlighted items? (I tried to locate this on the spreadsheet and in the various tabs before posting)
Those are Wondrous items for which we don't know the slot (or have confirmation that they are slotless).
Although I have been trying to avoid obsessively rechecking the list since the cull, the later into the day it gets the more I fear my item was pulled. I wasn't exactly expecting to place, but to think it it was fazed out so quickly does sting a bit.
Still, I can't wait to discuss my favorites as soon as its all said and done. :)
So, is the current list of items accurate of what survived the cull?

If it has an X in column E, then it has been seen since the cull.
If column E is blank, then it has not been seen by any of the contributors since the cull. It *may* have survived, but the chances of that are growing smaller.
Well that's depressing. Looks like I'm most likely axed then...

I can honestly claim to may have created the worst item in rpg superstar history (goblin pictograms eat stuff good, 2014, a tome on goblin eating habits). Look at it this way, at least you're not reading the snark thread and realising you're the number one topic of conversation.
It hurts.
But it only hurts for a little while. You find afterwards that your skin is thicker and your ears better at listening. Those are good things.

I put that in the wrong thread.... Just FYI - I found an item just a few minutes ago that had previously NOT been marked as found after the cull.

Sadly looks as if my 10 year old's item was culled ... it appeared to be a joke, but wasn't.
