I found TMNT does not hold up to time in any incarnation. The cartoon, the original movies...all age terribly. Every reboot seems to be equally awful. I don't know how I liked it as a kid.
The 2000's era cartoon still hods up pretty well. It was a bit more serious, as things go.

There was a couple for me, the sewer lair scrum and kinda the snow fort and escape, yes the rest is crap, especially how they sacrificed the connection between the turtles and shredder for an even lazier connection to April, I also recently watched New Robocop, transformers 4 and last "star trek" movie (I know Star Trek, that wasn't Star Trek).
Hulu pillaged Netflix so I've been watching all the movies I refuse to pay for :-)
Question is, do I next watch World War Z, Noah, Hunger Games or Hercules?

Tacticslion |

I was talking about the elevator scene. That s~$~ was hilarious. The TMNT movie wasn't like "Revenge of the Fallen" bad mind you, but I still wasn't a fan.
Hunger Games was good.
So was the Hercules movie with the Rock, surprisingly enough. Nothing groundbreaking, but a fun action flick.
I agree with the latter two-thirds of your assessment, and so you get a "favorite" despite the fact that you didn't like the - surprisingly competent and, to me, enjoyable - TMNT film. :D

This my new weird character.
A Gnome Summoner, his Eidolon is a large Squirrel with a Unicorn horn, with the mount and gore evolutions to start and his spells are Rejuvenate Eidolon (lesser) and magic fang, he basically rides his Eidolon stabbing people in the face with it's horn, not sure what campaign I'll use him for yet :-)

Don't you only play with your family, for whom you are the GM, which means you never get to be a player?
That's The fun of having a 4 year old player, someone's gotta make his characters, tho with only my wife and daughter as well I found it helps to have my own character to carry all their s@!+ get them to occasionally focus and provide healing.
By the way, all the characters I make for my son were names I threw out for him that were shot down :-)

Having playtested my Savage Worlds Fallout conversion a couple times, I got a couple of my friends to agree to a real game.
My first attempt at GMing a pure sandbox. I'm quite looking forward to it.
Hope your sandbox works out. I ran what I thought would be an awesome Traveller sandbox a year ago, but the players ran from every single plot hook. They kept flying towards empty space to avoid getting caught up in anything. Avoiding adventure and trying to pay off their ship with legitimate trading...../facepalm

I think it's going to go well. I asked what they want in a game, and didn't come up with a plot, just built a world. It's Florida, about 20 years after the events of New Vegas. They're all dwellers being exiled from a vault that has no birth control and every year holds a lottery to kick out a number of people equal to those born subtracted by those who die. One player is a redneck wannabee who grew up watching cowboy vids and wants to live on the trail, the other is a med student who pretty much wants to make crazy cybernetic creatures and be Dr. Borris from Big Mountain before he became a floating brain. The third player doesn't car, and is a generic explosives guy.
I made lots of world details, random encounter charts, and have as far as Key West to the south (the keys are overrun with Lurks except West, which...is a long story) to Tallahassee and Jacksonville in the North (Tally has Legion leftovers who fled east after their defeat and hooked up with an AI programmed by Eden before he self-destructed to act as a much more ruthless Enclave VP) and are now dipping recruits in FEV...Jax is overrun with mutants who set up shop in NAS, while the Brotherhood has a weak foothold in Mayport, and the whole area is soaked with radiation.
Daytona is, of course, a death race colleseum with Mad-Max crazy vehicles where slaves are forced to participate in deadly Mario Kart style races.
Seriously, I have every major city laid out. Orlando has become a Vault City style exclusive humanist area ruled by the thawed out head of Walt Disney called "The Kingdom". Their prisons: They throw you in the remains of Animal Kingdom, a walled off area filled with the worst animals of the waste. If you survive a week you get a pardon. No one has made it three days.

First Fallout Savage Worlds game today. The party, a group of vault exiles, explored a Catholic boarding school and fought a few radroaches. One guy nearly got done in when he sat in a couch that had five under it and in the cushions and they swarmed him! The party has a single stimpak between them, and their best weapon is a machete they found, and they don't know about the feral ghoul nuns upstairs yet...it was a great game!

Sounds great, though one headscratcher...how did FIVE RADROACHES fit under a couch?
They're like the size of a dog!

Meh. Size of a cat, really. They're pretty flat bodied, and two were clinging to the back and one was under the cushions...have you seen what a real roach can squeeze into? Ridiculous.
The real fun is two of the four players never played any iteration of Fallout (well, one played Shelter) so they're like legit vault dwellers approaching this all anew. I think ghouls are genuinely going to suprise them.

...Think of their first experience with Super Mutants, the Enclave or Brotherhood, or any of the random future schizo tech that starts popping up later.
"Okay so the Raider levels his Gatling Laser at you..."
"Woah woah wait hold on back up a sec...GATLING LASER?"

All in due time. A Gatling laser would eviscerate them at this level. Savage Worlds is pretty deadly. I haven't playtested Super Mutants yet, but during playtesting Enclave soldiers destroyed a party in about three rounds that previously beat a group of radscorpions, so they're pretty rough. The characters are all novice level so they're really only fit to take on basic stuff, like radroaches, bark scorpions, bloatflies, and molerats.

I statted up nightstalkers. They're pretty darn tough. The invisibility is pretty nasty, considering I modded it after the spell, which gives -4 vs Notice rolls to detect (in SW that's a huge amount as your target number average for most skills is usually about 4). I also gave them a poisonous bite to reflect their rattlesnake DNA, so all in all they're pretty terrifying.
Cazadores...Well...it IS Florida, so I might've maybe...made...a mosquito variant...that attaches to you like a stirge when it hits...maybe...and it might...have killed every party I ran against it in playtest provided there were three or more of the monsters. Like true Cazadores, they aren't too bad individually, because their toughness is pretty low and they die easily...but with their insane pace and the blood drain...
I have REPEATEDLY warned the party to avoid the everglades.

Everglades?
Two words: DEATH CROCS
Can you imagine amphibious, grappling Deathclaws with gaping jaws?
And not too far-fetched, since Deathclaws were apparently Chameleons of all things.

I thought of it, actually, but went a different direction. I don't want to minimalize deathclaws as apex predictors that have spread everywhere (almost...even they avoid the everglades because...) So gators have evolved differently. Their skin has petrified and made it nearly bulletproof and almost perfectly camouflaged with the swamps. They're mostly in the ruins of St Augustine, having been flooded about 3ft deep from global instant nuclear warming, but the everglades contains a unique alpha male that eats all other males and keeps getting bigger and stronger...

Nice. I really want to play in this game.
If you weren't so averse to Play By Post games I'd totally ask you to run one. =)

Actually, given our last attempt fell through, I'm totally up for it, because I got my mind prepped for the last attempt. I don't know if I could do it the justice I want on my phone, and I can't get internet on my computer when I want it all the time. The idea of running both groups simultaneously and using their actions to affect the world and give me ideas for one another intrigues me, though.
The problem is my conversion is a work in progress (about 90% complete, but I keep getting ideas, and then that percentage goes down), and I don't want to post it until it's totally complete, and then I've edited it to remove all trademarks, and my wife, who is a graphic designer, is gonna make it a beautiful PDF, and I'm going to post it on a personal page to get some ad traffic. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but after two years of work this has more content than many OFFICIAL Savage Worlds settings!
Or that's the plan.
Limey, I'm sorry I went so far from tea. Fallout is my gaming passion! I am drinking some herbal stuff before bed for the lack of caffeine - a cherry mix from Celestial Seasonings, since herbal is about all they do well. Their black and greens really went downhill.
