Mainly because I can't believe it is not May yet ...
The Countdown
Not quite yet time to panic about not having packed the bags ...
Dang. Its that close. I better finish up those monsters for the game(s) I'm running.
Sara Marie wrote: Oy. Indeed. I need to finish up the game I'm writing. Shouldn't take too long... need to make some pre-gen characters... stat out the bad guys... a few player handouts...
Oh, why did I sign up to have this thing in the lottery before I'd finished writing it??
OK, Pat, there's still time... breathe...
Thank the gods (at Lone Wolf :) that Hero Lab does Call of Cthulhu, that makes things a lot easier...

Still not May ... but 5 weeks and a day before I hop onto the plane. :)
And it remains not quite time to panic about not packing the bags yet ... not quite. ;)

man, if I encounter a great white shark on the way to Paizocon, something has gone horribly, horribly wrong ... or sharknado has turned into an actually thing (and "horribly, horribly wrong" would seem to be an understatement for that scenario ...) ;)
T-minus 9 days to PaizoCon ... T-minus 7 days to the flight ... Have not yet packed bags ... still not panic time ... Though I should really pick up the last of the rum for the trip.
One week and 6 hours until I board my first train headed up there.....

Three days until we drive up there. Can't wait.
two days until I hop on a plane ... suitcase partially packed ... dogs go to the kennel tomorrow ... need to double check my packing to be sure I am not missing anything ...
Panic level ... low
2 days until I hop a plane. I just got back from a wedding so I have to unpack and then repack. Monsters for my playtest adventure are not done. Characters for my playtest adventure are nearly done. Props for any of my adventures are not printed out (or not yet written).
Panic level ... yes.
Three days until I hop on a bus to get to the Con. Suitcase not packed, provisions not acquired, litter for cats (coming) not purchased. Characters are leveled... Goblin brains are not packaged...
Excitement high, panic medium!
Clothes set aside, train tickets printed, paperwork being organized, and materials being gathered.
Two days before I hop on a train, and head north.....
Excitement is high, panic is low....
Only 60 hours left until my flight. Roughly 20 will be spent attempting to sleep, another 18 at work, a couple more here and there for food, showering, and driving. That only leaves about 18 hours for me to get everything else in line!

9 month pregnant wife thinks baby is stubborn like father and will be waiting till well after PaizoCon to arrive. Unfortunately doesn't help me get to PaizoCon.
There is a part of me that really hopes this timer is on a large monitor above the main office hub at Paizo.

Every so often, he will get on the phone PA system and "remind" everyone how long before the hordes descend upon Seattle. He then laughs. After two minutes he laughs again but forgets to use the phone PA system.
Dogs dropped off at kennel ... list of "things that must get done before you go out of town" from work seems to be increasing ... bags still partially packed ... PFS PCs need leveling up ... 3 hours before I can check in for my flight ...
panic level ... rising (hopefully all loose ends will be finalized this evening so I do not have to run around first thing in the morning...)

Had to switch bags, and compact everything down a bit.
Panic level, no time to panic! (Freaks out)
t-minus 13 hours ... bags almost packed ... work stuff done ... flight check in done ... PCs still not leveled up (that's what a layover is for, right?) ... got the feeling I am forgetting something though ...
panic level ... lowish moderate
Six hours until I start making my way north. At least by train I have extra time to do stuff along the way, especially concerning pbp games.

One more day to ready my characters and scenarios. Seems I'm too nervous to sleep well.

Just finished a very long day gathering collateral for packet assembly! Now for peeg snuggles before hitting more prep tomorrow :)
Taking public transportation to the train station..... Hopefully I didn't forget anything.
10 hours until my flight leaves ...
*hijacks Dale's flight*
Sorry, this plane's going to Iqaluit. Ain't I a stinker?
t-minus 3 hours 45 minutes until the flight is supposed to take off... Remembered minis ... remembered to put the hold on the mail (can't believe I almost forgot this) ... I think I am packed (though I will probably remember something at 30000 ft) ... have one stop to make on the way to the airport
panic level ... lowish moderate but stable (expect it to drop once I get my luggage handed off and am sitting in the terminal)
See y'all tonight! :)
Have to pick up the multitude of boxes of Wayfinders from the printer, get them on the PaizoCon truck, make a list of things to pack, actually pack them, try and solidify our arrangements for a Wayfinder meet and eat on Thursday, run to the meadery and distillery for beverages, and fret over that fact that I am definitely forgetting something....

Currently at Union Station, waiting for my next train. I should have brought a backpack, haha.
Auriea wrote: Currently at Union Station, waiting for my next train. I should have brought a backpack, haha. Hah! Enjoy Portland. ^_^
Mostly packed, boarding passes printed, character and books ready... now I just have to wait for work to end and figure out how I'm going to manage getting off at midnight and being back up in time for a flight that starts boarding at 5:25am...

Sleep at the airport, or don't go to sleep at all. You wouldn't want to miss your flight.
At the airport now. 30 minute delay to my first flight. Going to be a tight transition to my transfer if we run any later =/

Wayfinders delivered! Reservations confirmed!
Stress level lowered!
Sitting in Portland ... Waitin' on a plane ... To arrive that is, not like sitting on the Tarmac.
Hanging out at the Doubletree, making plans for tomorrow!
Anyone else here yet?

Tomorrow evening. Later than expected because of issues.
It was the lack of a backpack, wasn't it? ;)
I wish! Our train hit someone in Santa Barbara. :/
