I wouldn't mind keeping him as a familiar. The new achtype uses your harrow deck instead of an animal as your spellbook.

He's techniquely a blue-footed boobie, which isn't currentlynavailable in pathfinder, so my GM basicly used the Hawk and skinned the boobie over it with some very minor tweeks.

I need a little help figuring out the best way to do this. I have been playing a witch in our pirate game and she is now level 4. She has been using the harrow deck heavily as part of her character concept and my GM even helped me come up with some house rules to encourage this. Then the Harrow Handbook came out and offered the Cartomancer Archetype which does many of the things I have been trying to do. My GM has given me permission to rebuild my character using this Archetype. Additionally my animal familiar has become a known part of the game so he has given me permission to keep him as an animal companion. I thought it was possible for any class to add an animal (companion) but now can't figure out how. Any suggestions/advice? I also heavily use HeroLab for my character building so any suggestions/advice on how to do this in HeroLab would be appreciated.

I am trying to figure out if it is feasible for my husband, who will be arriving early Thur, to get to the EMS Museum Thur, without a car. The museum is hosting a Star Wars exhibit, his other great passion, and I thought it would be a fun way for him to see a bit more of Seattle.

Found the fabric, will be making a limited number though as it was the last of the fabric.

Sorry for the delayed response, just saw your post. He's 50/50 hand-sewn/machine-sewn. I used fun foam sheets for his claws and teeth, but you need to hand stitch them on. I stitched parts of his costume directly to the goblin to stabalize it. Message me directly if you have questions.

There is a picture on the blog and Paizo's facebook page, but to clarify, I wasn't wearing it, I made it for the stuffed goblin.

I had a great time with you all. Next time I'll wear the medalion! I actually got my first dizzy spell during the game, but wasn't about to leave, however the irony is the switched flight left later so had we known we could have stayed a bit longer

On the other hand, to the individual who gave my ConCrude, that sucked! Eleven plus hours on a plane or in an airprt when you are dizzy and nauseous is no fun. However, US Airways surpraised us by switching our Seattle-Pheonix-Charlotte with a Seattle-Charlotte and up graded us to 1st class, making the trip bearable.

My husband beat me to the punch. We had a BLAST and I was amazed at not just how great Paizo made it for us, but all the other con goers as well. A few personal shout outs:

Razhen and his brother for helping us get into Return to Freeport. We had an Awesome game. Hope yours was equally great.

Majuba for answering so many of my questions on the board before hand, organizing a society game for after the con but before my flight so I could play without missing any of my classes or seminars, and for Goblin Brains!

Will Chase for working so hard to get me my Pure Steam book, it is Awesome!

To everyone who admired my Dragin Goblin costume, you made my year and I've had sooo many requests that I will be looking at maybe making more. (Yes, Kyle Elliot you will get the first one.)

I'm waiting for the 8:20, oh wait no, 9:00, no 9:15pm plane from Charlotte to Seattle.

We are on our way! Or at least we've completed the first part of our journey and are now in Charlotte, NC where Arthur has been kind enough to delay us for a bit (we hope it is only a bit). Our flight should now get in at midnight Paizo time, 3 am our time. (We hope.)

I just arranged a deal with a truly nice con goer so I will now get to play in one of the lottery games. The excitement increases!

So my new theme song is "Hello Seattle" by Owl City! Less than two weeks to go! Now that I'm done with Free RPG prep I'll be completely focused on PaizoCon prep. Can't wait! This is my first (and probably only) visit to Seattle and PaizoCon (though with my schedule I probably won't see any of Seattle). If you can't tell I'm a bit excited.

What about if I have back-to-back events? Do events let out 5 min. Early or is there a 5 min. Start delay.

Since I won't get in till 11pm I like the pool/block party idea. Plus I won't have a car, but will have jetlag, so staying close to my room, but still getting a chance to informally meet folks sounds fun. Is there any chance of both happening? Plus the pool/block party sounds a bit more of an intimate setting to meet new folks (or finally meet them face-to face.)

Actually, check that, I don't currently have any official Society characters running, so I would have to play at 1st level.

My husband and I both have copies of the 5th ed Shadowrun. We haven't had a chance to play yet but would be interested. (Have played other eds)

I'm interested in finding a game to play in. I'm unfamiliar with, WaRP, but am familiar with Mutants & Masterminds and the Fate system (per Dresdon.) I'm more of a Pathfinder/D&D kinda gal than S&W. Otherwise I'm open to what games have room and that I'm available for.

I'm so bummed, I was really looking forward to that one.

Sunday is usually best for "hanging out" time, but a scheduled game could be fun.

Thank you. We don't get in till after 10pm Con time on Thurs, but we'll have some time Sun. I think I'll be giving up eating for this weekend to do as much as possible.

There appears to be a glitch in the system. It won't let me register for anything during the 11-12 Fri time slot because it says it conflicts with Green Ronin & Pathfinder, which isn't till Sunday according to my schedule. (It won't let me add anything on Sun either.) Additionally, Green Ronin & Pathfinder no longer is listed any where on the event listings.

One way that some folks really like to get the PDF from paizo.com and print out just the pages you're using. That's enough proof if the printout has the watermark from your legal PDF on it that shows it's yours. How they'd check to verify that the username on that watermark actually belongs to you, though, I don't know.

Part of my problem is I don't want to buy PDFs for books I have hard copies of since they will get very little use beyond this event (which is already costing me far more than I wish to think about) and although we receive most of our Pathfinder product through subscription, I work in a bookstore so we do better to get the hardcovers through work.

We had 5 events we were interested in and 0 on everything else. We got our lowest choice. *shrug* What are you going to do, we don't even have anything to trade.

My husband and I didn't get into any of the big lottery games we were hoping to. We've picked up a bunch of the seminars, but would still love to have a chance to play a game or two with some new and different folks. Anyone have room in their game for two East Coast long time players? We are open after 10pm on Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm (our flight leaves at 8pm). Were also available before 12pm on Friday and before 10am on Sunday, but my experience is that most folks game in the evening.

It would be nice to be able to have time to review my lottery results before selecting my choices from the open event schedule. It looks like we may not have that luxury this year.

I am concerned that Paizo is not on top of the whole PC sign-ups for Paizocon thing. I love this company and your products but DANG is this frustrating. Paizocon is one of the highlights of my year (I'm sure I'm not alone in that sentiment) and it would be a shame if the massive influx of users/delayed posting of my lottery schedule made me unable to get into the open events I want.

I agree completely. We are flying across country, and this will be the only chance we get to do this ('cause we'll never be able to afford it again), we set time aside to be able to sign up for events, and have had to cancel our Wed. game so we can wait to sign up.

I set aside time to be able to go on and sign up for events. I'm running out of time and still no events listing. Still refreshing and hoping for the best.

Soon is better than "Your connection to the server severed..." :)

Thank you, I had orginally planned on photocopies, but discovered theyweren't within the true rules. I do have herolab and will be creating my character there.

The Society rules state you need to bring a hard copy or watermarked PDF of any rules beyond the basics. Under normal circumstaces I get that, however I will be traveling to PaizoCon from Virginia and can not afford to carry all my books, nor do I have PDFs of all them, and since I have hardcopies I do not wish to buy PDFs. Is there a way around this or an exception that can be made for PaizoCon?

I don't recommend trying to drive to Angle Lake Park, because parking there is totally inadequate for the 4th of July crowds.

iI you don't mind a longer trek, you can also take light rail + walk/bus up to Seattle to South Lake Union

We won't have a car so no worries there. I was interested in the Seattle fireworks, I'm sure over the water is spectacular, but a little concerned about making the trek into an unfamiliar city for the first time when there's going to be such a large crowd.

Problem #1 - I'm east coast so that will be my 1AM and no guarantee that I'll be functional to walk three miles (there and back). I missed the display that Kyle put on last year because it was just so late for me.

I am also coming from the east coast, but I am bound and determined to make the most out of what is likely to be my only trip to PaizoCon! Red Bull here I come!

Thanks Zantumal, that's awesome. According to the website SeaTac puts on a display @ 10pm in Angle Lake Park on the 4th. According to my map that's about 2-3 blocks from the hotel. Can anyone confirm that? Also does anyone know if you can see the fireworks from the upper hotel levels or the top level of a near by parking garage? Anyone else interested in attending/viewing the fireworks?

I'm a big fan of fireworks, especially the spectacular kind of display most big cities will do on fourth of July. Anyone know where we can go to see the fireworks. Please keep in mind we are dependent on public transportation. Thanks!
