Feat Descriptions
Spoiler:
Unsettling Enchantment:Any foe required to save against an enchantment spell you cast takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls and AC for one round, regardless of the result of the save.
Metamagic Specialist: Instead of gaining a familiar, you can apply metamagic feats to spells you know without increasing casting time. This benefit even allows you to quicken spells with Quicken Spell. You can use this class feature a number of times per day equal to 3 + Int modifier (Minimum of 1). This is an extraordinary ability. Spell Descriptions
Spoiler:
Amanuensis (Cleric 0, Sorcerer/Wizard 0) Transmutation, Vocal/Somatic components, Close range (25 ft+5 ft /2caster level) Targets objects or objects with writing, Standard action to cast, Duration 10 min/level, Will negates (harmless), SR applies (harmless) You cause the writing from one source to be transferred to another book, parchment. The Spell copies 250 words/minutes and creates a perfect duplicate of the original. The spell only copies nonmagical text, no illustrations, and no magical writings. If the source contains both normal and magical writing, the spell only copies the normal text and leaves a blank space where the magical writing would lie. The spell requires blank parchment or paper to function. When the spell reaches the end of a page, it automatically turns the page until there is no more paper or the spell expires. The magic can be directed to other sources. The spell does not translate the written text and you do not gain additional knowledge of the text. The spell triggers magical traps. Silent Portal (Assassin 1, Sorcerer/Wizard 0) Illusion (Glamer), Somatic components, Close range (25 ft +5 ft/2 caster levels) Targets one portal, Standard action to cast, Duration 1 min/lvl, Will negates (object) SR applies(object)

Spoiler:
What does he/she/it believe? “Live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse” is Lysanderis’ only creed. Born to a wealthy family in Sigil, Deris is the youngest of 3 daughters and has never had much responsibility outside of her schooling, which she was never very interested. Not above using her female guile to get what she wants, Deris is a creature of intense passion and life and has an intense fear of all necromancy. What is the most valuable thing to this character (may be a material possession, may be something more abstract)?
Where are they from (Prime or Planar? Where on the Prime Material, where in the Planes?)
Are they part of a faction? If so, why did they join? Did they pass a test? Fill out an application form? Deris isn’t really interested in any of the factions, though the Sensates throw fantastic parties and sometimes the Anarchists have interesting information. The more lawful factions bore her with their rules, and sometimes the Mercykillers can go too far in meting out their “justice”. The Fated, with their philosophy of taking whatever you desire, fits right in with Deris’ philosophy but she has never sought entry. Where did your character learn their profession? Where did they get their gear?
Do you have any enemies or rivals? Every beautiful woman in high society has rivals and enemies, some of whom may want to see her dead. The Thentenala family’s trade, rare textiles, has been steadily declining over the last century and many cutthroat merchants would love to see them fall. Where does your character call kip (aka, sleep/live if you're not familiar with Cager Cant)? Deris’ has a small, stylish townhouse by the Civic Festhall in the Clerk Ward that she stays at most of the time. She also owns a building in the Chaos District of the Hives under an alias.
Do they consider themselves a mercenary, an adventurer, a champion of a cause or just a working stiff? What do they do as a day job if they aren't out adventuring? If you're on the wrong side of the law, do you work independently or are you part of a gang/cell? Are you likely to take anything that comes along to earn jink or does an opportunity need to have certain hooks to get you in? Deris has adventured out of boredom and to fund her ‘business’. She doesn’t really believe in anything other than what she can see, so the concept of crusading just seems silly. She’s not part of a cell or gang, though she has manipulated a few small time thugs into working for her. Right now, funds are running low and she’s heard that people are interested in what she knows. It might be time to hire more experienced muscle to protect her and start letting those higher ups know she here to stay. Detail an NPC and their relationship to you. How did you meet? What were your first impressions? How long have you known them? Do you trust this person?
*What is one memory that affects you to this day? How has it changed you? (Please answer this one, if possible.) The day her mother died, Deris was distraught. According to tradition, her mother would buried in the Thenten'ala tomb in Sigil. Unable to sit through the long ceremony, Deris snuck off and began to explore the very large cemetery. She quickly became lost but was unwilling to give up, convinced she could find her way out. After what seemed like hours of walking, Deris found herself in a dead end. Close to tears, and certain that the shadows were following her, Deris began to backtrack. As it got darker, things in the crypts began to move and sigh, shadows that would flicker out of sight before she could get a good look at them. Soon it got too dark for her to see, but she kept walking, using her hands to feel along the ground. The priests say that she was lost for 3 days, and may have even stumbled into a two way portal to Hades. All Deris says she can remember is the feeling of cold dead hands on her ankles before she passed out. At the end of the day, where do you go and what do you do to unwind? The Green Mill, in the Lower Ward, is where Deris goes to feel clean but the other elves give her dirty looks, so she doesn’t stay for long. She also likes the Ubiquitous Wayfarer, mostly for Goldenmane’s attention. She is a heavy drinker, considering herself a conisaur of fine licquor, and loves the company of the Halflings at the Greengage the most.
Physical Description
Spoiler:
The Thenten'ala line, which translates into either 'of the new dawn' or 'of lost beginings' in elvish, has always been blessed with a startling kind of beauty. Lysanderis is no different, with fiery red hair and skin so fair the bards say even swans are jealous. Her eyes are bright flickering blue, like the hottest part of a fire. When in Sigil, Deris dresses at the height of fashion, favoring rich jewel tones like sapphire and emerald. When adventuring, she wears her long hair in a loose braid, fine leather armor with a motif of feathers and fire, and a dark cloak. Her gear is held in a simple backpack. |
