I just wanted to confirm that EE is still going to go live tomorrow. I've been a bit out of the loop so I just wanted to make sure. Also, have they said what time it will go live? I was thinking of taking the day off of work.
I apologize if these questions have been answered elsewhere. I was unable to find them.
Thanks.

Which is a problem.
It is a problem. This is the first time I've been disappointed in GW's outreach and communication. You have a set date for EE launching, but at the same time very credible questions about the viability of that start date. The crowdforgers that GW has said are so important to the development process, have asked repeatedly what's going on, and voiced their concerns.
Silence on the net is the wrong response here. Even acknowledging uncertainty would be a good and fair move now. Whether it's "Hey all, we think we are on schedule, and don't plan to change the start date," or "Everything in development is fluid, and so we can't give you an answer yet"--any kind of acknowledgement and outreach would be the right the choice.
I'm along for the ride--I have a lot of faith in GW, you've done a great job so far, and I'd love to see you continue the culture of openness you've established.

I see it differently. - the date was set for the 30th and there is nothing to tell me that has changed. When in doubt go with the last concrete bit of info you have.
GW will tell us by the 30th what's up. They are obviously putting the effort in to make the 30th happen and by not saying anything already tell us they are close enough to push to maintain that date. If they fall short, we will know.
There is no status change, from someone knowing they may or may not make the 30th deadline based on GW telling us or not because we already know the set time.
Just stay tune for the next 24 hours and we'll see what unfolds.
As For others, if you burnt yourself out on Alpha, that's your fault. Take a break and come back refreshed.

If the answer isn't a solid "yes" by now, they should just go with "no", in order to maintain their transparency with the community. I've no doubt their recent--and unusual--silence is due to extreme crunch aimed at tomorrow, but I'm not certain they're helping themselves by both crunching and remaining silent.
Just stay tune for the next 24 hours and we'll see what unfolds.
The difficulty is that there are plenty of folks who're trying to decide whether to take tomorrow off; some have scheduling-requirements that've already blown that plan.

The donkey pulling the cart thinks its questions are valid, but the carter drives on because he has to feed the donkey. Standing around starving because the road is too rocky or the harness chafes is no good.
EE will begin with some issues even if they delay a month.
EE beginning will commit GW to hard schedules of fixes and feature implementation. The longer Alpha goes on, the worse off we are. I hope it begins on the 30th. On schedule, warts and all.

Ryan Dancey:
The team is working on a list of "must complete" items for the start of Early Enrollment. They are going to review their progress and make a go/no go call soon. Until they make that call, there is nothing to report.

They haven't been silent. Ryan announced yesterday that they haven't decided yet.

The team has an extensive list of thins which must be working correctly before Early Enrollment can begin. They have been working hard trying to complete that list. They are going to make a go/no-go decision soon, and then we will have more information to share.
Thank you for the update!

I'm ready with my Oh, thank God clip if they announce it's a Go.

It is a grim scene that gets a chuckle every time I watch it.

1. Thanks for brining this to our attention--this is exactly the kind of communication I was expecting to hear.
2. I thought the official word was to NOT use the Alpha forums. Did that change?

Just launch at this point.
It may not be the popular opinion at this point, but I would tend to agree with this.
If it's so close to being ready to go tomorrow that they haven't come out and said "Sorry, we need to delay" yet, then they should just go ahead and make things persistent. If they're within a day or two of having everything nailed down, they should just launch this boat and patch in the bug fixes as they go.
If, on the other hand, they determine that they need another week or more, I'm fine with that too. I've just been holding off on playing in the alpha too much, because I haven't wanted to burn out. I can wait even longer if that is what is deemed necessary. :)
