Hello all! For an upcoming campaign I'm trying to build the best possible "Vampire Warrior" Character using "legal" character building. (no templates or third party as forbidden by dm)
For a snap shot of my goal, I'd like to build a front liner, or assassin with decent staying power revolving around martial combat and the ability to drain life. The only two ways I know how to pull this is off is with the dhampir's racial blood drinking feats and traits, and Vampiric touch. Both of which (if used in concert) will keep a temp hp "shield" on my character. (Any other suggestions would be appreciated)
Unfortunately I've found very little that blends or lends itself to both.
-Currently- I'm thinking about playing a Dhampir Shifter-Wild Effigy.
This would give me a natural bite to satisfy the dhampir's need when sucking blood without a grapple (and don't go away after a few rounds), full bab, some DR, and also allows me to be quite tanky and shift into a bat form. Which is fun.
But it seems very underwhelming and adding in a magical class dip to this doesn't seem to have any synergy just to get vampiric touch.
My Ask: Anyone know-
Additional ways to drain life?
Good sources of Regeneration?
Ways to optimize Vampiric Touch -- And perhaps blend it/use in concert with a bite attack?
Possible best class/multi-class to pull this idea off?
Thank you for your ideas!

If you want to go with a monk, the Hungry Ghost archetype may be your best bet. You would not even need the blood drinking feats and traits. Some of the monk’s abilities work really well for what you are looking to do.
You could also take the Qinggong archetype to allow you to swap out some of the monk's abilities for more appropriate ones. Trade out slow fall for gaseous form at 6th level, and abundant step for persistent vigor at 12th would be my recommendation.
A Nosferatu-Born Dhampir would be perfect for this.

the old (pre nerf) souldrinker prestige class gave a draining touch attack at 2nd level (and the negative levels gave 5 temp hp and soul pool points which could have been used for stuff).
the new souldrinnker get enervation x/day instead and the soul pool get points when ever he deal negative levels to others (not only with the sla). using that with other methods to give negative levels (there is an axe that creatures with no con can use that does that) might be worth while.
the deadhand master (3rd feat of the deadhand stye feat tree) give the user the ability to bestow 2 negative levels with a hit (cost 2 ki points). but it takes 14th level minimum as it needs 14 ranks in a skill (or some kind of class ability to get the feat without going through it's requirements). this ability is keyed to the user's ki pool and limit it's daily uses.

is with the dhampir's racial blood drinking feats and traits
The biggest weakness of Blood Drinker is that it is specific to a single humanoid subtype. One way to circumvent this issue is to take the Racial Paragon Vigilante Talent which allows you to flex into racial feats, so that you can choose what subtype you want at the start of combat.
I was also thinking about something monk related, see if I can flurry with my bite. Get several quick blood drains in succession potentially to build up a full stack of temp hp?
Yeah, that's solid. UnMonk is your best bet for offense, but Brawler could be worth considering especially if you choose to go Dex-based.

Windstep Master UnMonk 1
5 Feral Combat Training, Deflect Arrows (B), IUS (B), Hurricane Punch (B), Flurry
Style Shifter 1
6 Crane Style (B), Style Aspects
Misc gear:
Dueling Dagger in off hand.
Fighting Defensively:
Just -1 to attack from Style Aspects.
+2 base, +1 from Acrobatics 3 ranks, +1 from trait, +1 from Crane Style, +1 from Dueling Dagger
= +6

Use Racial Paragon to flex into Diverse Palate so that you can drink from all humanoids and monstrous humanoids you encounter. Blood Salvage can be used in an emergency.
Make sure to buy your party spellcaster some Runestones of Power or Pearls of Power so that they can cast Mage Armor on you.
This, in combination with Shield bonus from Shield of Blades and the +6 AC from Fighting Defensively, should keep your AC competitive.

Hmmm...
How about a Dual-Cursed War-Sighted Oracle? Primary (progressing) curse would be Hunger for the Bite attack, Grab, Increased Damage, and additional Blood Drain while the secondary (non-progressing) would be Plagued so that you are immune to the sickened condition that goes along with Hunger.
Its not Full BAB, but it gets Martial Flexibility and you pick the Battle Mystery, you have a plethora of revelations to select from (and Dual-Cursed gives you more options and revelations) to make up for the difference. If you want to mimic a Monk, the Ascetic Mystery has several options for that. The Oracle doesn't gets Vampiric Touch as a spell, but it does get Vampiric Hunger that pretty much mimics the blood drain ability of a vampire.

The Bones Mystery has Bleeding Wounds, which would add bleed damage to all of your Negative Energy effects. This may, or may not, benefit your character... I think it is fitting to your theme.

The Wildblooded Sorc Bloodline Sanguine allows you to drink blood to heal yourself. But as wildblooded can't (as far as I know) be gained any other way than by actually being a sorc you'd have to do a 1 level dip.

You can pick up Exotic Heritage - it's skill bonus is smaller than Skill Focus', but it unlocks all the wildblooded bloodlines for Eldritch Heritage.

I don't know if any of this is necessarily helpful to you, but some of the ways I have given my Vampires a bite attack include:
Sorcerer's Serpentine Bloodline
Bloodrager's Naga Bloodline
Fiendish Obedience Kabriri
It's by no means an all-inclusive list of how to get a bite attack, but I particularly enjoy that both Sorcerer and Bloodrager benefit from Charisma [as do Undead].
I used Fiendish Obedience Kabriri on a Grippli Ranger, because I like the thought of a frog Vampire that uses its Agile Tongue to suck blood (actually just deliver touch spells, but whatever). I really like making Vampires with racial swim speeds to overcome some of their [Vampires'] inherent weaknesses... the Grippli FCB for Ranger gives a swim speed.
I know Dhampir aren't Undead... but if you can get to that point, or at least count as it, then getting Swallow Whole and Consume Essence could be pretty awesome. Tyrant Totem Barbarians/Primalist Bloodragers get Swallow Whole. Racial Heritage Ogre can get you Gluttonous Gobbler, which should count for Consume Essence... not sure if Dhampir have a half-Human variant that counts as Human, or Mostly Human alternate racial feature like Aasimar, so they may not have access to Racial Heritage. Ogre also opens up Vestigal Head! And Corrupted Flesh for Stench. Lol.

if you also take the life drain you are practicaly a vapireother option is too have the spell undead anatomy 2
well if the gm ask for what reason he need to take the curruption just
say: ¨you already a Dhampir that curruption its already in your blood¨

Well, if the character wants to add a more complicated system to his character that allows me the opportunity to turn them into an NPC later based on a batch of very poorly rolled saving throws... Well, let's gamble, shall we?
Corruptions aren't meant to be options for power grabs for players. They are supposed to be part of a more gritty and dark style of gaming that gives you some slight perks for some decently annoying, and sometimes really bad, penalties. My advice is, no thank you.

An Oracle is a good choice, actually. And the Hunger Curse is a fun way to get a bite attack, and Dual Cursed with Plague is a smart combination. Warsighted would allow you to flex into grapple feats if you find yourself in a romantic situation with a Succubus.
The Dhampir FCB could make for a pretty wicked Negative Energy specialist. Continuing with my previous suggestion of taking the Bones Mystery, you could take Death's Touch and Soul Siphon, as well as the aforementioned Bleeding Wounds.
Furthermore, Oracle is a Charisma-based class that would work well if you become fully Undead. There are a lot of fun necromancer options in the Bones Mystery, so the Agent of the Grave prestige class could be a viable option if you wanted to be your own Vampire instead of someone else's spawn.
