As well, haven't acted at all because was in between of lots stuff and this scenario was completely chemistry-influenced in my understanding.
My 2 cents: I had trouble with understanding where the water is coming from and if this is because of the fish, which is upstairs, why the lower floor wasn't fully under the water. I completely lost myself trying to understand the solution of the parts of the scroll, because I expected that there should be a word which is an answer.
Great thanks for clarifications, now I understood what was there...

I am a native speaker and I still can't make any sense of this! =) I get that each fragment came to life for us, but have no clue how we are supposed to know the fox's name!
Anyways...

As for the riddle, its quite confusing for me too!

I've created a campaign for Fires of Karamoss . For Scions III we'll be using the same thread as the one for I and II.
I'll start the games as soon as everybody is back, so there might be a couple of days of delay.
@Karrion/Tiaburn: who of you is taking the sixth spot at the Fires of Karamoss table?
DM Kludde |
I've prepared chronicles for 6-15 (link). Let me know if everything is ok. There's just a few more words to say, but I had some time for creating the chronicles, so went ahead.
DM Kludde |
We're still waiting for Lirianne and Elindriel in the Fires of Karamoss game. Are you ready to join?
DM Kludde |
Pitbull eats rocks.
Which reminds me, I never did give you the answer to the riddle, did I?
DM Kludde |
Nope
DM Kludde |
Disappointing, huh?
DM Kludde |
Anything in particular you're looking for?
DM Kludde |
Can you indicate here(link) what you have and haven't played? Anyone else who is interested in something low-level can enter his name as well. I'll see if I can fit something in. I'm trying to get a bit more mileage out of my owned scenarios - the ones I marked with '1' are the ones I own.
DM Kludde |
Oh, and I have the Emerald Spire dungeon, of course. Level 1 and two can be played with a level 1 character.
DM Kludde |
You can get a complete list when you go to http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety, then log in after clicking 'My Pathfinder Society, then looking at session. If your GMs have been meticulous in registering the games, that is.
Tiaburn |
@DMK, I went and put couple lines and numbers in Excel without invitation since it was here, in common discussion
As well, I noticed that Rasamoro 6-15 Chronicle has an error - he is Dark Archive faction, not Grand Lodge and probably might get something, because he participated in book delivery for Zarta.

It was 1am after a hard day at work, I think it was probably me being less than meticulous :P
DM Kludde |
@Tiaburn, Lithrac: thanks for also filing it out. Does it mean you're also looking for a low-tier game?
If anybody else wants to fill out the form, just go ahead. That was my intention all the time.

On a side note, I'm on a short break today, so I might not get any posts in until friday evening.
Lithrac |
I'm definitely interested in playing the low-tier scenarios I haven't played yet, especially if you're GMing, DMK. I'm very intersted in the Quest for Perfection series, which I'd like to play with my Samurai if possible (the one I signed up for your Confirmation game at the end of April in fact). So no hurries.
DM Kludde |
It seems it's hard to find something low-tier that none of your have played. I own Shades of Ice, so I could run that one. I've heard good things about Quest for Perfection, so I can see myself running that as well (perhaps after that confirmation game). Murder's mark sounds like fun as well. Master of the Fallen fortress is really low-effort to run, so I can start that one anytime. It is maybe not the most fun module out there, though - it's very combattish.
Just looking at what fits the bill of 'ran before', 'low tier', and 'players can play':
- Shades of ice (preferred by rhanloi)
- Night march of Kalkamedes (quite a fun scenario, in my opinion)
- Emerald Spire lvl I, II (First is maybe nicer than second level. The real fun starts at third level (tier 2-4), IMO)
- Master of the Fallen fort (preferred by shifty)
In all cases, Lithrac has already played them :-S
At this point, I'd like to run something that I am familiar with - makes it a bit easier for me to keep multiple tables going. I can set up a replayable module (MotFF or Emerald Spire level I), so Lithrac could join if interested, or just run one of the others and promise Lithrac to run the Quest for Perfection later :-)

Quest for Perfection is pretty amazing.
I probably put close to 40 hours prep into running it for the local group, and then we did it over a couple of days. Part 3 would be VERY long by PbP, I'd allow 6 weeks easy as there are a ton of complicated moving parts.
Brilliant scenarios though - cannot recommend enough, especially if the players get right on board with the theme. We ran it over the Chinese New Year celebrations, had themed catering, and everyone took setting appropriate characters - Samurai, Ninjas, Monks - oh my!

Hmmm we are prolific players, have covered a lot!
Nightmarch sounds interesting.
Shades of Ice likewise has my interest.
My longer term goal is to cherry pick some of of the interesting series of scenarios as I spend my time GMing, and my local PFS Cons only focus on the current Season, so if I want to see some of this old stuff then PbP is where it is at.
My hit list is thus:
Shades of Ice
Destiny of the Sands
Echoes of the Everwar
Heresy of Man
Glories of the Past.
I have a friend who will run local games of:
Eyes of the Ten
the 'Fiend' trilogy
And is currently taking us through the S4 Thissala arc.
Curious f I am missing any MUST HAVE scenarios out there...

Damn, you make me so envy about your community... :( You have great events there
So, I have my old dream to play Murder's Mark (it's Tier 1-2 so it is replayable), but I'm fail to get in any of recruitments here on Paizoboards.
As well, I'd like to join Shadows of Ice series (skimmed through first book in prep) or Night March of Kalkamedes (had GMed it 2 years ago as my first PFS scenario).
Just inform me before you start, so I can verify I can allocate some time.

Since I have played the least, I'm good with anything you want to run!
If you want another player for this low-level game, I've recently introduced my brother to PbP and Pathfinder - he is lovin' it so far and I think finding a super group like this will snag him for sure! He and I cut our teeth on the original AD&D games in high school and college - and his posts are pretty tight. check him out at his profile page.

Nah I just get caught coming up with new ideas to 'out do' myself, I built up a stack of boats to scale and ran pirate adventures in my twice yearly Pirates by the Sea event (BBQ and gaming right on the water of Sydney Harbour in a fantastic park - Jolly Roger flags NOT optional), Riverside adventures in a national park for river themed scenarios, etc etc. Building the map and terrain is the time sink though, the Runewell from Season 3 is a 3d multilayered map that I constructed to stand upright, basically ended up 3' tall and was a pain to work with as it was ROUND.
So, I have my old dream to play Murder's Mark (it's Tier 1-2 so it is replayable), but I'm fail to get in any of recruitments here on Paizoboards.
The boards can be unreliable, and for some mods (like MM) you want some people who will WORK WITH the theme.
In full disclosure I have actually GM'd it (Yes, the dress code to come to the game was 'dark carnival', as were the decorations, and theme music. I recorded a bunch of music and pictures that were setting appropriate on move maker and ran them through the big screen plasma) - it was pretty epic, but can't tell if it was because we were all right into it or because it was that good - but we still talk about it a lot two years later. Think I still have the background movie, if you need I'll youtube it - same as Way of the Kirin and a couple of others)
There are some amazing scnearios and mods out there that can be used as the basis for really creative play, its a shame so many people go along to their local stores and just dice chuck them and miss all the goodness.
I'm keeping my eyes out for an overland adventure based scenario that can neatly be divided into four scenes. There is a great trail in a nearby national park about 4kms long (2.5 mi?) which traverses a few picnic areas with tables and BBQs that arent really used - the party would walk the trail between these sites along a river and when they arrive at each place them GM runs that scene. It requires a couple of GMs - one for each stand, but once the party (or parties if more than one) leaves the stand, there is a road the GM can drive up to get ahead of the walking party.
Much opportunity.
You come to Australia, let me know :)

Mental note: go to Australia.
Kinda wishing I had the time to get some GM stars
Speaking of which: could it be that you never registered that Penumbral Accords game? It doesn't show up on Ic's list. Not that I mind, since I have the chronicle, but you have to register the game to get GM stars...
You only need to GM 59 more games to be able to replay QfP ;-)
The other route to replaying is, of course, doing a Core game. That way, we could do a 'greatest hits' of all your favourite games :-)
Or as they commented on the dutch board when Core was announced:
All-wizard party! Pew-pew-pew!
Shifty |
Shifty - you are my kinda GM!!! Everything I've dreamed about doing but never actually had the time and initiative to do =)
Its actually more a case of:
I work too much, and coming up with and executing this sort of stuff is a great distraction.
I wished I had a GM did that sort of thing, but they don't, so screw it I may as well.
The little things make the big difference anyway - for the Quest for Perfection I printed everyone's chronicle sheets on good quality red paper I bought from an art supply store - a really classic deep and vibrant red. I printed the Ruby phoenix logo one side, and the chronicle on the other - they really stand out in a binder. Will do Shades of Ice at some point in ice blue and I was thinking Destiny of the sands on something as close as I can get to papyrus. The sheets REALLY stand out in the payers binders.
I give away all my used maps and stuff to the local PFS guys.
Maps - a couple of shots I had thought to take as I went about building things. The nice harbourside shots is the view from where we do Pirates by the Sea.
