The thing I loved about Raistlin as a character (aside from being the only dynamic character of any value in the entire series) is that He wasn't evil for the sake of being evil, He specifically chose to become the most powerful evil mage of his world so that he could be certain to control other lesser evils and thus mitigate their effect on his world. He was who he became because if not him then maybe somebody worse would come along.

Just for a little Clarity:
In the recruitment posters you will see Champions (PvE Content). This is because Golgotha has people who wish to do the Emerald Spire Super Dungeon. So imagine them as the "State Sponsored" adventurers that need to get in and collect the relics and heirlooms for the betterment of Golgotha.
Just because our Champions can also step onto the battlefield and rip their enemies to shreds, doesn't mean they are any worse at adventuring.

Sixteen Days. A mere sixteen days until the Golgothan Armies rise from their graves and walk forth into the River Kingdoms. Golgotha will rise and our Necropolis will know no foe strong enough to stand against us.

Location of enemies and alliesLocation of resources
Location of markets and trade routes
My impresssion is that Golgathans see close proximity to enemies as a convenience.
Funnily enough, players such as myself tend to see it as just the opposite.
