I love Evocation. I think it's the best school out there and is by far my favorite. I've used it to greater effect than any other school.
I also don't believe monks, fighters, or rogues are bad, and I think sorcerers are better than wizards.
Your turn.
PS: Not an argument thread. Just a thread where you confess your dirty little gaming opinions that may go against the status quo.

I adore reach weapons (the rest of the players in my local community sneer at me for using them) - the Dorn Dergar has a special place in my heart.
I refuse to allow my players to min-max/'optimize'. They'd better have a fairly convincing reason for why those stats've dipped into the negatives.
I die a little inside every time I see a character who's parents died tragically at a young age.

Pathfinder is not my favorite version of D&D, and probably doesn't even crack my top 10 list of RPGs. I don't think it's a better game than 4e--I think they're about equal, with each hitting different buttons for me (both good and bad).
I totally hate rolling for stats, but I also greatly dislike the way point buy works.
I completely hate the way magic items work. I hate the way traps work. I hate the way perception works. I hate the very concept of a "daily" resource.
I don't like the APs, either, but even more extreme, I don't like running other people's material at all, so, I don't like any module or published setting whatsoever.
I think PFS and "living" games in general are destroying the art of GMing by slowly forcing the death of table variation and acting as if it was a good thing. I think it will ultimately make roleplaying as a hobby more accessible, but also less worthy of accessibility as GM quality degrades.
I absolutely hate the very concept of RAW, and frequently debate on the forum making extensive use of RAW in my arguments in order to show the absolute folly of it all. In truth, while I think the forum is a wonderful tool to elicit advice on what a rule should be, I think it is utterly ridiculous to elicit advice on what a rule actually is.

A player at my table has to be watched constantly or he will lie about dice rolls. Or snatch the die up, claiming that one was a "test roll". Or roll multiple dice one at a time to bump other dice to something more favorable.
Did I mention he's 28 and thinks he's the best roleplayer EVAR. Actually, all of his characters are basically the same, with different mechanics. Sometimes he's a fighter. Other times he's a cleric. They all have an unhealthy fascination with Holy vs Evil themes and are almost always healers in some capacity. None of them have any personality beyond that.

I trust my fellow gamers, and tend to just take them at their word instead of making them 'prove' everything to me.
I dislike people having piles of rulebooks in front of them, and prefer they concentrate on the general flow instead of trying to micro-manage things down to the smallest detail.
I despise the term 'having a chance to shine' or 'turn in the limelight' - this is a team game, your individuality means little to me - Only victory matters, and that is a team affair. Wanna shine? Go wrap yourself in alfoil and sit in the corner. Want limelight? Go on Americas Got Talent.
No, not every kid gets a prize.

I feel that Paizo needs to take off the kid gloves when handling prestige classes and archetypes. I understand the concern of making something better than a baseline class, however that doesn't mean that the majority of archetypes and prestige classes need to be as unappealing or unexciting I feel the current ones are. If something is going to be niche, let it be, but make that niche stand out and give someone a tough time deciding between an archetype and the core class.

I'm addicted to building characters! I have far more than I could ever possibly use and just keep making them. (Worst of all, when a new game starts, I make yet another character!)
If you don't GM yourself, do your GM a favor and start giving him/her your least likely to be played characters for use as NPCs.

I build characters in my off time, usually off the wall non-optimized concepts.
I love dwarves, kobolds, goblins, and orcs.
When I GM, I like to passively try and kill my players... Characters. (Sphere of annihilation in a gargoyle's mouth anyone?)
I am addicted to traps, both as a PC and when GMing.
I'm addicted to poison, no matter how much it sucks late-game.
I'm in the process of totally bastardizing the Pathfinder rules with a metric ton of house rules, and stuff from 3.5 Unearthed Arcana (spell points, combat facing w/ shield facing, hex grid, variable modifiers, Armor as DR, class defense bonus, among others).
I absolutely LOATHE distracted gamers, and punish them severely when GMing (put that mother @$*^ing gameboy AWAY!).
Edit:
Oh, and I find 4e fascinating. As much as I hate the whole power mechanics of it... I can't stop myself from dying to play my teleporter warlock. I am in LOVE with the idea of offensive teleportation effects.
I also think that Paladins should be renamed to 'Templar', and their alignment must match their deity. Class abilities adjust accordingly.
-My girlfriend's list-
I hate magic items being sold in stores, though I love magic weapons being sold in stores.
I hate point buy systems.
I think everyone should get a free 18 before adding racial bonuses
I think monks are broken.
I hate archetypes that dabble in the affairs of other classes.
I believe only rogues should have trap finding (this might fall into the above).
I believe characters should not chose to do everything (our last group tends to have their characters try and do everything the other characters can do, only better. Spotlight whores).

I don't like magic shops, but not because I think they are unrealistic or cheapen anything, but because shopping bores me and I'd rather be doing anything else with my game time than seeking out new gear.
I'd rather, every time I level up, time stops, my character walks off-screen, all of my current gear flies apart into a sparkly cloud of WBL appropriate golden glitter, and then reforms into new gear appropriate to that new WBL (the leftover glitter turning into coin and gems), then I walk back on-screen and say, 'I took some time off between adventures, here's my new crap,' then waste a single second of gametime roleplaying shopping for a new axe of splitting heirs +X or rod of lesser weewee extension.
I never liked Vancian spellcasting. I still don't.
I always hated beholders, and am *thrilled* that WotC took them out of the OGL and made them closed content. I didn't like the gith races, either.
People who belittle Spelljammer and say that giff and giant space hamsters were ridiculous, and yet defend to the death Planescape and it's silly slang and ludicrous modrons make my eyes roll right out of my head.
I have grown to dislike rote spellcasting, in general, in favor of more freeform 'organic' systems like Elements of Magic. Playing a Witch, or one of Monte's 'discipline' Wizards from the Book of Experimental Might, I find myself *much* preferring to use hexes or disciplines, and feeling like I'm forced to occasionally cast a spell, which I'd rather never do. Five out of six APG classes were spellcasters. Is it that hard to make effective classes that don't use that mechanic?

I use almost none of the skills as written when I GM. Seems easier on both me and the players if they can say "I wanna do X with Y" and I say "Yes, but...".
I also like throwing poison using enemies at my PCs.
Because watching the Barbarian roll consecutive low Fort saves and being dropped to 6 Con is FUNNY dammit, and nobody can take that away from me.

Never use the swimming pool at a gaming con... It turns into a bath.

I play with only core rulebook and (most part of the) advanced players guide allowed. None of the latest hardcovers have survived the vetoing process - neither the companions.
I think that the archetype and trait system is way too abused, along the same path of the 3.X era PRCs.
I play in what I call Golarion 1.0, the one from the old harcover, with paladins of Asmodeus, conflicting references, a lot less deities, and what the developers have called "the rough edges". I like the pulp-era style it has compared the the sterilized feel of the new HC.
I prefer the 3.5 era AP compared to the PFRPG ones. Reading the latter gave me the feeling of a sanitized version of the originals, without the blood stains, the gritty scenes, and... the real danger. The one that does not only kill your PC, but it scares the living $#!£ out the player too.
I think that the WBL tables are seriously messed up and should be scrapped altogether.

I think its ok to steal a wizard's spellbook.
I don't think the players should automatically win every encounter even before I put them up against it. If there's no challenge and threat of death what's the point?
I hate resurrections and I think it detracts from the story. What would Lord of the Rings be if they were like, "Boromir is dead." "Oh don't fret, we can rez him." The severity of their circumstances would never have been fully understood.

I used to hate prewritten adventures and refused to play or run them.
I am running Curse of the Crimson Throne and I love it.
I am playing in Rise of the Runelords, and I love it.
I think PFS and other living games are ruining the hobby. I dont like a bajillion different players and bringing the hobby to the masses...its degrading the quality role player pool until its naught but a puddle. I yearn for the days of closeted gamers huddled over thac0 charts and actually being required to have a modicum of intelligence to "get" the game. Most new players I find to be stupid and vapid.
Get off my lawn!!
Oh, and how about this...if you can't add +12 bab and +3 weapon enhancement and +4 bard performance and +2 flank and +2 charge and +1 bless and +1 haste and get the right number in about .3 seconds get off my table.
That aside, this was supposed to be a confession that will get me shunned....so here goes:
I love cheese. I liked pun-pun. I like breaking the game. I like having that character that kills everything while other players weep out of boredom. I am a cheese monger, and my cheddar is better.
Get off my table!

I don't care about what anyone else thinks about how I play the game. I will always play the way I prefer regardless of what others consider optimal.
There are other types of optimized characters than just damage dealers.
Casters can do a lot of damage. They don't all have to be save or suck or GOD wizard casters.
In combat healing is necessary in well run games. If your players aren't using in combat healing for major encounters, you are failing as a DM. I have never, ever run a game where my players didn't absolutely need in combat healing in the key encounters of an adventure. Part of your job as a DM is to gauge what is challenging for your players and make the obstacles they face challenging (including putting them at risk of death).
I don't like the magic item Christmas tree. I hope for a day when Pathfinder (or D&D) figure out a way to get ride of the magic item Christmas tree and not lose the high magic feel I love about the game.
I despise some of the poorly developed spells like Euphoric Tranquilty and Prediction of Failure and poorly developed abilities like the Slumber Hex that Paizo put out in their additional books. Such spells ruin Pathfinder by making encounters trivial. The same rules that apply to hold spells, should apply to all such spells so that there is some hope of surviving their use.
That's my list.

My main is a drow. I've been playing him since about a week after I first read R A Salvatore's The Crystal Shard in the 1980s. I still maintain that he's not a Drizzt clone. And I use him as a GMPC.
I don't think the game stops working at high levels.
I have GMd a party of characters becoming gods.
I love a good rules debate, but sometimes I just want to scream "use some common sense, you %#^*wit!!!" at people on the other side of the discussion.

Oh, a few more.
I like Eberron. I think it's a cool setting. Unfortunately, it's associated with 4E, so I may as well have just shoved rabid weasels down my underpants.
Evocation is also my favorite magic school. Yeah, mind control is cool.
But Fireball is HOT!
I don't like Rogues. And I'm not talking mechanically this time. Just the concept of them (weeell, some mechanics).
"I'm the guy you're bringing along, even though I'm nigh useless in a fight, because I'M the only one who can disarm magical traps =D"
(Ignoring all the work around solutions to this, the fact that you semi-need this one guy because he can do one thing and then nothing else your whole party combined doesn't have covered thrice over irks me.)
I also don't Strix.
I don't understand them (as a playable race...unless it's supposed to be a campaign with no friendly humans?). And I don't like them because they break core assumptions of the game (no Fly before 5th-ish). I don't want them in a game because of all the races they're the only ones that seem inherently disruptive to me.
I just DON'T them.
They're fun to think about, point at, laugh/cry about how WTF-worthy they are, and then move onto other things I s'pose, but thassaboutit.

I think Golarion is lame kitchen sink setting that doesn't even reach the level of Forgotten Realms.
Spellcasters should never have gotten all their class features, spells are class features enough.
Vancian Spellcasting is bad. All character classes should use spell points like psionics (though I admit that would have wrecked any backward-compatibility).
The beefed up races are stupid. I always use 3.5e races.

I don't find non-spellcasters to be actualy weak mechanicaly...they just not as flashy.
I don't run Core only games.
I don't think every feat, skill point etc. have to be spent to optimize your character to be able to be a effective character.
I like PrCs
I think alignment requirements on classes and PrCs are a good thing.
I don't think Pathfinder is the one true system...I like it alot...I also like other systems just as much though. I just dislike system elitists.
I like magic items and how they work in Pathfinder.
I like high level play.
I love playing Drow PCs.
I believe that Generic Role Playing games do everything...but they do it meh.
I also think Organized play is not healthy for the game...it should be a great tool to bring new people into the game...instead it becomes the only game in town for people.
Forgot the biggest one...I don't think a endless number of Bestiaries is a good thing...there is a point where there is just too many monsters in the game.

I love mechanical optimization.
I hate backwards compatility.
