Melee Transmuter (Polymorphing Spells, Buffs)

Advice

I'm working on a Transmuter Wizard, focusing on melee.

I'm wondering if it's worth Multiclassing (I can think about Fighter, Barbarian this give me Rage but i can't use spells while in Rage)

Skills: Which i want more? I can think of Perception.

Equipment: Something that enhance STR/DEX/CON, maybe something for Natural Armor (or it doesn't stacks with N.A. given by the form)? Something else?
Armor, Weapon?

I've been thinking about that myself lately, and until lvl 16 this could be effective: 1 fighter/5 wizard/10 eldritch knight. After that, arcane archer has full bab and three more caster levels, but requires three archery feats. That, or evangelist (stacking with wizard) gives 3 points of bab, for a total of 16, and three more caster levels. This costs one feat and some skill ranks. Anyway, the point is trying to get high bab/hit dice and casting.
For the rest: amulet of natural armor stacks with existing natural armor (it's an enhancement bonus to NA), and an amulet of mighty fists is nice, as it enhances all natural attacks.

thank you for the advice.
I was thinking about this: see the question is "Can i take this and apply it when polymorphing, or can't i?"

I have a Ranger/Wizard/Eldritch Knight/Hellknight Signifier that could fit what you're thinking. If you do multi-class, make sure it's only for one level or so.

Important Skills:

Perception
Spell craft
Knowledge skills
Use Magic Device

Ravindork have made a great one of these.
Focus on Str and stay single class. You want the highest level spell to give you the beat bonuses. Consider a magus if monsterous physique is the Way you want to go.

thanks for the advice; still no one has answered to my question on that feat, hope someone could.

Don't see why not...

If you have a way to regularly get Natural Attacks I don't see why not.

If nothing else, you can always be a Tiefling and get some claws...

yes it'll work, but anamulet of mighty first can let you overcome any DR, so maybe this feat is useless.

thanks all! :)

Furthermore, if you get a high enough polymorph spells you can get DR/magic, and thus your natural weapons pierce the same DR.

Also, be sure to say at least once "I CAST FIST!"

Hmm. I've just started with a PFS character which I envisage as ending up as a transmuter dabbling in archery. I only mention it as she's also indulging in a bit of barbarism, which relates to your multiclassing concerns. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the "moment of clarity" rage power let you cast a spell once per rage? That might be handy depending on how long combats normally last in your group.

Thematically, the Shapechange focus school for Transmutation from the APG would give you access to a natural attack for a few rounds a day from your first level as a wizard.

To be fair, that character was mythic, and had an ability from the Archmage path that had him treat his caster level as his base attack bonus while polymorphed.

Considering that a full caster cannot get the feat before level 13 and by then he should have a AOMF +3 at least the feat is not really worth it.
Arcane strike May be worth it for the extra damage.

@Ace diamond: the link is broken.

@Qunnessaa: you got it, thank you.

My Transmuter is not going archery...is going melee, with Polymorph use and choosing forms to kick with natural attacks.
Would be great if someone give me a build on archery, just to see how could it be.
