Funny thing is, it predicted the Kyra/Merisiel relationship before it was even hinted at in the Ask Merisiel thread.

Jade Regent art is relatively kind to the PCs. They're getting menaced a lot but rarely taking any physical damage. Worst I could find were:
Jade Regent book 1 P51 - monk guy getting tentacled.
Jade Regent book 6 P82 - barbarian lady getting gnawed upon by the head-fruits of a Jimenju tree.

Some updates from Mummy's Mask.
Half-Dead City, pg. 34--Balazar being swarmed by undead cats.
Half-Dead City, pg 78--Merisel being constricted by a living scroll.
Empty Graves, pg 78--Damiel being set on fire by a sunbaked zombie.
Just skimmed through all of Reign of Winter. For the most part the iconics are equally matched with their opponents, only being overpowered a handful of times throughout the AP.

I dispute The Shackled Hut. That dude getting chewed by the Winter Wolves' beard is both the wrong shape and color to be Harsk. Also, he's not wearing the same clothes Hark does. That's just a poor random Ulfen dude.
I would think that the favorite whipping girl is Laori Vaus (ok, not an iconic)
Well she has become the iconic friendly Zon-Kuthon priestess...so I guess that counts.

A whipping boy in the sense of getting no respect is Balazar. He doesn't have his story told for a couple years after all the other iconic, has never been shown in an adventure path or even a module. When he does show up, in several cases he's being eaten by his own eidolon! That is rude.
He's an Iconic in Mummy's Mask, actually. So that oughtta make him feel a little better.

Valeros, who often seems to be hanging out with the lovely Kyra, I sometimes think is falling down so that he can have Kyra run up and put her hot little hands all over his body. "Ow, ow! I need healing again!"
He wouldn't care. And in truth, that might make all his suffering worse.
