I finally hit the beloved apology item. It delivered.
Rules are meant to be broken of course!
Okay guys, I'm totally burnt out and used up way more time I should have doing this today. When I come back tomorrow, there better be another 1000 posts!

{makes Will save vs. bobby pin in socket compulsion}
(Yes, the repeated bobby pin/shocking thing as a kid is true.)

As a GM, I don't want to allow a wondrous item in my game that permits the characters to completely derail the game I'm running in favor of spontaneously making up something else.
My god but I hope the cull comes soon...
The flawed items or those who put in effort I don't mind clicking through, but the obvious troll items.... No, no more please!
Edit typo

If you're going to attach Golarion deities to your items, you should know their actual personalities.
I'm just hoping to run across my item soon... maybe that will break the voting compulsion effect.

Additionally,
...never mind, I'm not gonna tell you cos that would spoil the secret and it's classified and then I'd have to kill you.
pH unbalanced wrote: If you're going to attach Golarion deities to your items, you should know their actual personalities. Hahaha, I know what item that is and it has always been paired with better entries, so I can happily downvote it each time. No lore is much better than wrong lore.
I guess it is part of the protocol, but I just keep seeing the same items over and over again. Mostly compared to other items.
I hope I'm stuck in "bottom half mode", because I just am not seeing very many good items.

Allowing Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum to steal home plate (considered difficult terrain) before losing 10d20 levels and paying a 2 million gp fine for unauthorized use of orifices. All covered in runes...
Funny how many items I see of ideas that I threw out earlier on. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though.
I think I just hit one of those items where people have been going "Oh, that looks good. Oh wait, why did you tack that onto it and run it?"
Item that makes a ton of work for the GM versus item with headachy mechanics and no save on a powerful effect = rock and a hard place
pH unbalanced wrote: Why must he have a band? Because it's a banned item, DUH... but yea, that one was a bit silly
James Risner wrote: I hope I'm stuck in "bottom half mode", because I just am not seeing very many good items I hope you're completely wrong and that you are seeing the top half... Gives me some reason to hope...

hmm... Which shall I see first: Dedicated Voter title with my name or my item? Only time will tell.
Do an action, take full damage then heal half of it (and get resed if you die)... why not just take half damage?
There's a grating somewhere underneath this contest through which many small but important mechanical details have dropped. The kobolds living there have sorted them -- once the pile of "how long it lasts" gets high enough, they will escape.
Substitute magical shortstop throws... to somebody, I guess...
Holy cow! I go to work for a bit and you guys add another 1,000+ posts. Nicely done.

All that visual needs is PennyCosmo in the center of them saying "We all float down here."

So that's what happens to the nefarious Christmas fruitcake... Diabolical...
New process:
1.) Vote on items.
2.) Take five seconds to read item names.
3.) If no new items skip to step 7.
4.) Read new items one by one.
5.) Scrutinize item minutia for new items such as spelling, grammar, and formatting.
6.) Copy any Keep items into my keep folder.
7.) Weigh items. Usually takes about 5-10 seconds.
8.)Waste any remaining clock time reading the new 1 or 2 rambling thread posts, or my book.
8.) Go to step one.
Total time with new items: ~1 minute
Total time with no new items: ~10 seconds
It has been awhile since I have had to use steps 4 or 5. It has been even longer since I have had to use step 6.
TL;DR: Too many Repeats.
*grumble*

Ah, here is the item that should be outrageously expensive for the decorative items alone!
Paying EXP to use an item...
3.5 called they want their mechanic back they said just drop it anywhere in 2003.
Free +5 items and metagaming or automatic sneak attacks on every attack? The opness is hilarious.

I haven't seen that one yet. Oi!
Surely there can't be that many more turtles, frogs, and snakes... can there?
Ha! The thousands comma separator made the decision ...
I have a new item proposal:

Gotta love those "and any other effects the GM feels appropriate" items ... wait, did I say love? I meant WTF?!?!?!
Just found the double-spaced item. Found it very hard to read. Had to reread it twice, and then had to vote for it.
