CN Human Ranger who hunts down escapees and technology for the Technic League.

Only major idea I might have for an Iron Gods character is possibly what Giant Robot I worship. Kinda stuck right now between the obvious Voltron analogue or the Gundam analogue. If there's a Macross in there, that might also complicate things.

Damn my love of Giant Robots!

there are only two giant robot gods- one taking the form of an enormous top heavy robot with a human-like face almost capable of displaying emotion that carries a sword even bigger than it is and alternates attacking enemies with said sword and blasts of elemental forces from its eyes other body parts(super side) and another, slightly smaller god one of more balanced physical proportions that carries a huge bombast as its primary weapon at range and looks like a humanoid wearing ornate armor complete with a helm that obscures the facial features. Sometimes, this god can change physical form into some type of flying machine or engine of war (realistic side).

Pretty sure James Jacobs and a couple other Paizo reps have said the Technic League is gonna be the bad guys in this one. At the least your GM's going to either have to do a lot of rewriting for that kind of concept, or turn the League against you for some reason.

Gal, android magus with a tonfa

If it's a more urban game:
Hugh Manning, android Inquisitor (infiltrator) and assassin

Fal Diamond, android gunslinger/inquisitor/sleepless detective

If we're looting from media:
Priss android bard/ranger with snake companion

Priss human synthesist summoner (humanoid) with a bard (80s rockstar) dip

*Kellid Cavalier with the Mammoth Rider prestige class- ultimate goal is to tame (or build) and ride a robot tyrannosaurus.

*Aasimar Mad Dog Barbarian- a luddite hunting unholy technology with celestial animal companions

*Human Wizard- goal is to create an Apparatus of the Crab and upgrade it to a battle tank

Perhaps the character thinks they're still in good standings with the league. Or maybe something the ranger has done in the past has caused them to distrust the character. In fact, the League would probably find a more powerful/obedient henchman without you being kept in the loop. Perhaps there's a bounty on your head on top of that. "First minion to take the ranger down gets a raise in pay and rank!"

Or we could just play Blade Runner.

...I just realized that this might be the perfect time to play that "oh gods what's happening to me" aberrant bloodline sorcerer/heavens oracle whose ancestors intermingled with benign aliens. :D

copy/pasted metamorphosis gameplan:

I keep fiddling around with my change gameplan. Have an aberrant sorcerer/heavens oracle character that's waiting for the right campaign.

Goes in a different direction from Lovecraft and the usual aberrant types though. Whatever alien-as-hell being parked in this character's family tree was also incredibly benign. Less Cthulu, more "sea angels" from The Abyss. Except from space. With tentacles. And other stuff.

Phase 1 - Appears entirely human save for a slight sickly blue/green tint to his skin.

Phase 2 - All of his hair falls out. White of his eyes become light blue. Starts "sweating" a lot.

Phase 3 - Each of his arms burst into a mass of five thin tentacles. Each tentacle by itself is too weak to act as its own limb; only by acting together do they have the functional equality of a humanoid arm. Eventually he'll figure out how to wind these tentacles together, slide some Sajan-style sleeves over them, leaving only the tips visible and passing for fingers. Ties into the Long Limbs ability.

Phase 4 - Skin deepens in blue-green tones, overshadowing the normal human tones and actually looking more healthy. Slits along his forehead and temples. The back of his head elongates.

Phase 5 - Skin fully changes color to its blue-green hue. Skin becomes permanently slick as his body breathes in the moisture of the atmosphere, but never stains or soaks clothing or other absorbant materials. Slits open to reveal extra eyes either located above his natural eyes and running back in a row along the length of his head or placed assymetrically about his upper face. Bioluminescent patterns begin to form on his skin. Nose flattens. Ears shrink.

Phase 6 - Back of head continues to extend backwards into a long, thick tentacle housing portions of his brain and extrasensory organs tying into Oracle-granted abilities. Some of his aberrant organs and nervous system become luminescent through his skin when he casts spells. Nose is gone completely, leaving only the thin slits of his nostrils. External ears are gone, leaving the exposed holes.

Phase 7 - Legs burst into masses of tentacles just like the arms. By this point the Heavens Oracle revelation that grants permanent levitation means he won't need them for walking any more.

Phase 8 - Head and torso continue to stretch and twist to their final shape.

Extra aesthetics: All summoned celestial creatures have extra eyes and the same blue-green slickened skin from his final form. They all have the rough shape of their "vanilla" counterparts, but always look like they're alien analogues.

Using the Tongues oracle curse to uncontrollably speak in mixtures of Celestial, Aquan, Auran, or Aklo when that curse kicks off.

If playing in Golarion, worships Desna as his primary deity

Folks won't let me run this AP, I think because if I became that happy I might explode. At least playing in it will be close to the happiness singularity. So I'm playing Ysfir Brighdesdottir, N female android metal specialist wizard. Already statted out, arted, and everything.

The daughter of my Kingmaker GMPC, Ysfir was a precocious scamp taught the rudiments of magic and piles of useless factoids by her auntie Radya. As part of a cultural exchange/political alliance, Ysfir was sent to live in Numeria at 13, where she briefly disappeared from the the watchful eye of the Black Sovereign's lackeys, only to walk back into town a few months later (and just in time to prevent a declaration of war). Except she was... different. Very different.

I want to play an Android Paladin and play him like Robocop.

"Stop right there, criminal scum!"

I'd have a bard companion with witty comments like "I'd buy that for a gold piece!"

i mentioned Hyperdimension Neptunia CPUs in the first post but i have a few others

Frederica; Female Human Gunslinger from a prior world locked in stasis, probably from a deceased empire, a Tsundere young girl whom doesn't know the modern languages and freaks out at the fact she can neither understand nor be understood, starts with a solar powered (solar recharged) masterwork plasma pistol, doesn't like to be touched, and happens to be a loli in a duster. a bit autistic and quite knowledgeable about technology, based off a character from Etrian Odyssey Untold

Ilina; a beaker born half-nymph Arcanist or Psion, (undecided) found inside a medical tube, the next development in the Artemis project and 3rd Generation Beaker Baby.

Eve; a petite female Nasod (Treat as Android) Ranger whom fights using highly advanced Nasod Technology mixed into her ranger combat style, fighting with such things as Nanites and Napalm as a Ranged AoE weapon, inspired by a playable Elsword Character by the same name

Nepgear; female human Aegis, a CPU from Gameindustri whom spent a long period bound, suspended and unconscious in Numeria, wields a plasma katana of purple light and speaks binary as a bonus language. inspired by a character from Hyperdimension Neptunia

Nera Maximillia Aniri/Nero Maximilian Aniri; Ilina's crossdressing loligoth nephew, a male half-nymph born in a beaker and an investigator whom was recently reactivated, always fond of the stage, theatrics, and surprising twists, so because of that, he dresses in feminine attire and plays the role of a woman to satisfy his desire to act. a former emperor of a long lost empire that bordered Azlant.

Thinking about it further, any summoned celestial wolves are probably going to look a bit like super-lithe akatas, with more canid faces and bioluminescent internal organs.

Also, actually realized I have a perfect portrait to use for alien lantern archons already. :D

and the thing has literally been staring at me for over a year on my phone

Considering having all the lawful ones being one-eyed and the chaotic ones havin many. Maybe with the neutral ones alternating between having more symmetrical paterns for theirs or no eyes at all. Hmm...

A gnomish Artificer Master Summoner using the following summoning list:

MSI
Clockwork Spy
Ainmated Object (tiny)

MSII
Homunculus
Animated Object (small)

MSIII
Iron Cobra
Clockwork Servant

MSIV
Adamantine Cobra
Animated Object (medium)

MSV
Clockwork Soldier
Cutlass Spider

MSVI
Aballonian
Animated Object (huge)

MSVII
Adamantine Wasp Swarm
Animated Object (gargantuan)

MSVIII
Clockwork Leviathan
Clockwork Golem

MSIX
Iron Golem
Brass Golem

He'll have a Clockwork Familiar via the Arcane Bloodline/Eldritch Heritage feats + Improved Familiar and an eidolon build as an assistant tinker (skills: Stealth, Perception, Disable Device, Use Magic Device, etc.)

Oooooo pretty.

I won't be able to play or DM, but if I could, it would be a Human Bloodrager with the Aberrant bloodline. Their bloodline would be a result of a magical experiment done in the Silver Mount to the character's parents. Now whether the character will turn out like Sil from Species(I do love Giger's art style) or Wilbur Whateley from The Dunwich Horror(I love Lovecraft's writing just as much) I haven't decided yet, but maybe I might get lucky and we will get a "Blood of the Alien" Player Companion book to go along with this adventure path to give me ideas.

Skinwalker(Coldborn) natural weapon/anti magic barbarian. Just to be the antithesis of the rest of the party. I'm hoping that by the end he'll kill an Iron God.

Alternatively, an Android brawler/gunslinger(if the advanced class guide is out by then). He'll wear blue armor and when he uses his pistol I'll flavor it as his hand turning into a cannon. And it will be awesome.

You know, that got me and a buddy to think that a Vash expy would be perfect in Iron Gods. Numeria is already going to have a vibe that reminds one of Road Warrior/Trigun, so a pacifist gunslinger would be hilarious to run. Lots of called shots will be made, to say the least.

I am most likely going to DM that (and even that isn't certain) since i am the only one in my current group who loves sci-fi, everyone else have only a passing interest, at best.
But if i was able to play it i would probably make a halfling or Kellid barbarian (or bloodrager if the class works) who wants to rid his homeland of the oppresive wizards, who suck the life of his culture, with his greataxe and a barrel of wine while praising the name of Cayden Cailean.

Dark Archive

Numeria has proven rather controversial in my gaming group. Most people do not want to have anything to do with science-fantasy, but those who want to play are very passionate about it. Myself included. The trouble is that those players feel that this AP will not be science-fantasy enough to suit them. They are pestering me to homebrew the hell out if it and to start the game early with few adventures so that they can begin the AP at 4th or 5th level and reach 20th by the end. There are also ideas of an apocalyptic event and enlarging Numeria and combining it with Brevoy, Iobaria, Ustalav and Obsidian Apocalypse (when we buy it) from LPJ to create some kind of super-setting. You can imagine that the rest of the players are not amused. At all. In fact, I'm starting to worry that this will split my group in two.

Anyways, I have two players who are dying to play this. Since there are only two of them, I am allowing gestalt rules and introducing DMPC to the game, with a lot of house and 3pp rules.

The characters will be Tiefling Machinesmith/Sorcerer (Cybernetic Bloodline), Wayang Iounblade (modified Soulknife)/Talented Rogue (with some Monk talents) and Aegis (reskined as power armor bearer)/Bladebound Magus (with two-handed vibroblade, inspired by Way of Kings) as DMPC.

I am torn between Mechamage or Steamwright or Thunder Scout class from the Thunderscape: World of Aden, which should be out to the public via book/PDF this March.

I was a supporter of the kickstart and got early access to the PDF. There is a lot of sweet classes and ideas that can be cribbed from Thunderscape and dropped whole cloth into this AP.

The three classes I mentioned would be perfect, since all three classes have technology leanings, particularly, the Steamwright.

Though it would be a blast to run a Thunder Scout through book 2 - The Lords of Rust with the Mad Max vibe that has been hinted at. Because the Thunder Scout is about as 'Mad Max' as any class I have seen gets.

Mechamage? Steamwright? Tell me more...
